Dear Mr. Biscotti, do the right thing and fire Pees. You stepped in and fired Cam when Harbs wouldn't, and we won The Super Bowl. Step in and save our season from being a complete "lose every game in the fourth quarter" disaster.
Scotti didn't fire Pees, it was Harbs. He did discuss it with Harbaugh but it wasn't his call.
I don't care who fired Cam and I don't care who fires Pees, as long as it happens. If this man is still here next season I will seriously have to think the FO is completely out of touch.
It depends on what happens this season Ravensdfan. That might actually mean missing the playoffs but I don't want to miss the playoffs just to lose one guy
For those who want Harbs gone, and for those who think we should move on from Joe. See the 49ers decline since we beat them in the Super Bowl as a reason why you don't run a good coach out of town, and why when you have a good QB.... you stick with him.
Isn't this their first below .500 season? Anyone wanting to get rid of them is crazy. I agree with you
I bet most of the people who want Harbs AND Flacco gone must of became Ravens fans in 2008 Lol.
They're not true fans. That and they're stupid.
Harvard released a new study that says the Seahawks will face.... The Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl 50. Yet they give us 9% chance of making the playoffs? Everyone at Harvard needs to be drug tested ASAP.
Now you can see my problem with analytics. Things don't just happen in a vacuum.
The STUDENT who wrote it is plainly stupid: he used fantasy numbers to predict playoffs! I wouldn't call that 'analytics'... more like the playing house version of it.
His view is limited and counter to our beliefs.
Has anyone wondered that our receivers coach could just be the issue of our receivers struggling? Please Steve, pay some money and get us a better WR coach.
Ummm... when they brought in Kubes... didn't they bring his with him?
Mom - No, they hired some guy from the college ranks who has NFL experience as a WR.
The Ravens hired Engram... The guy worked as an offensive assistant with the 49ers in 2011. Then in in 2012 and 2013, he was the wide receivers coach at the University of Pittsburgh. Before that, he was a wideout with the Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and the Kansas City Chiefs.
I feel so bad for Flacco. He does everything he can to help us win, and we don't have a AJ Green/Dez Bryant/Julio Jones receiver but yet he makes it work with what we give him. Then he sits on the sidelines and watches Dean Pees give away so many games.
I like Joe's playoff road record but for once can he set some HOME playoff records. Only 2 Home Playoff games in the Harbaugh-Flacco Era. Fix it for next season please.
that's this year. look at the QB caliber we faced. We don't get that next year - in fact, going back to what you said about things changing - it could be an even more difficult schedule than it appears right now.
And it could be an easier schedule... time will tell. A lot of the teams on our upcoming schedule have major question marks.
Based on what I see, what QBs are we really talking about here? Manning, Rivers and Wilson? That's even assuming Manning comes back, which he probably does. The rest of the list is basically mid-tier QBs, and ideally we will have an improved secondary by then.
The defenses figure to be better, sure. But you could argue that the offenses could...
Yes... and I agree with jacket 30ppg on a consistent basis gets us the key # 1 seed and for h ravensdfan the Denver coaching shocker yesterday has yet to be concluded. Also, The stench of that SD game will not be forgotten.
I maybe jumping the gun but I'm getting my Steve Smith signs with the Ravens status out of the way. Get ready Pittsburgh and Cincy, time to ICE UP SON!
I think I figured out why most here are more concerned with a top pick than winning out and getting to the playoffs. Just the idea of grabbing a top 5/10 player is so out of the ordinary that the first time we have that chance it's fascinating to us as fans. So wanting to lose out to ensure we get that player, is something that intrigues us enough where losing just becomes a positive. Also the fact, it may be a while before we get this opportunity at a top 5/10 player again.
I was all in on going on a playoff run up until joe went down to be honest. I will still root for them regardless but when we lose knowing that were headed for a top 5 pick softens the blow a bit.
^January J, my thoughts exactly. I wanted to see us make a run, but i lost hope the moment we lost Flacco. I will never root for us to lose, but I won't be as sad....SO LONG as these players continue to fight. Some of these dudes are auditioning for next season.
I won't be mad if we wind up with a top 10 or 5 pick as long as we know what were doing with it... But knowing this team I would not be surprised if we lose tommorow then win in Miami next weekend and we have to still hope we can make the playoffs. That being said what would we use it with? Would we trade down? Would we take an OT RUSH DB or WR. I love Laremy tunsil but I'm binder the belief that he will be the top pick even if the browns get the top pick this year we all know they ha...
I thought Ravens talk was bad after a loss. Seeing the Bengals and Steelers forums after a loss, makes me feel better.
Visited the Seahawks forums and you're right, it's bad.
The fans in Tampa were actually very nice yesterday. They have accepted that they lose... especially to good teams. They were all over the compliments about Flacco and our team....
I went to the Falcon's forum to see what they had to say about this week's match up. It's really depressing over there : (
I'll get it started...... Bring Pagano home this off season. Our defense needs a make over and it's time to make it #ChuckStrong once again.
I would honestly have to agree with that. I loved Pagano as a defensive coordinator because he just got it with the players. Truly a players coach on defense.
Yeah sadly I don't see it happening but one can dream.
I don't know why he'd want to come back. Just like how Rex Ryan would never come back, not that I'd really mind him not coming back.
I'm officially done with Profootball Talk. In their article about Ray getting a statute, and I quote.. "Knocking a woman out concisous gets you a standing ovation. If you want a statue you have to obstruct justice in a murder".
Your guilty until proven innocent .. but still guilty on PFT, they are a joke.
I guess Tony Stewart getting a standing ovation will be his next article? Oh he only talks about us Ravens I see.
There are so many troglodytes masquerading as humans trolling that site from all 32 fanbases, its probably the single largest collection of sports related internet losers. I don't even bother looking at the comments if I go there..unfortunately their "writers" aren't much better.
I'm pulling a Brett Favre.... I'm back.
Welcome Back! Told you you'd miss us lol
Now pull a 49ers ILB and retire
That's not a Favre - what you need to do is retire again, then unretire next week and demand your moderator job back - and you have to tell them if you don't get it back, you'll go to the Steelers, become one of their moderators, and take your revenge on us.
If it makes you feel better, go to the Colts forums. There's a thread on who should replace Pagano, Andrew Luck being overrated, someone making a schedule conspiracy thread, etc. You think it be the end of the world reading their forums.
It's week 1, fans around the league needs to chill, both overly positive and negaltive
Eh I've always felt Luck was overrated. Might not be overrated long term, but is way overrated at his current level. We'll see how the season progresses.
If the colts fire Pagano I fully expect him be hired somewhere else by the end of the week. Not his fault the GM has given him nobody on the defensive side of the ball. Like what happened to Rex in NY
If it's any positive out of this, last time we lost to the Patriots in the playoffs, we won the Super Bowl next season. Hope that is the case next season.
Good thinking lol
If we Ozzie can fix the secondary, and Kubiak stays as OC, we will be the best team in the NFL/world. I couldn't be prouder of our Ravens though.
We also had Q and Dennis. We need someone to fill their roles that we still haven't found, especially if Dennis isn't what he was when he comes back.
If Joe Flacco is still in the mood to score some points, he can come to game 4 and score enough runs to ensure the Royals can't win.
Flacco can pitch though.....or I hope we don't get a bagel....
Flacco used to be a pitcher, so maybeeee
Heck I am up for anything right about now with them
If Pitta can return healthy, with the addition of Perriman, and we avoid injuries in the secondary, for once in our 20 seasons, we'll have a balanced team that is deadly on both sides of the ball.
