  1. Ok so, Thanks Br*dy, you did what we all wanted you to do. Beat the Steelers in week one. Now you can go serve your 4 game suspension.

@polynesian15 I doubt it.Bill and Brady have a long history of being caught cheating but there hasn't been anything bad enough to ban them from Canton.

    2. polynesian15

      polynesian15

Isn't cheating bad enough in itself - and especially REPEATED cheating?

Guess we need a reminder that the world isn't always fair.

  2. So NBA approved playoff seeding by record, and not divisions. Going to be interesting to see if this works considering people have argued for this type of seeding in the NFL.

    1. stampedehero

      stampedehero

Single game playoff and divisional title vs 5 game NBA series. Thats the difference.

  3. "Somebody didn't want me and going to a place that wants you is awesome" - Haloti Ngata. No Ngata, Ozzie wanted you here but you were too greedy and refused to lower your cap space.

    1. gtalk12

      gtalk12

I care more for actual games then preseason. Last year Timmy filled in for a couple games and our defense played at the same level then when Ngata was on the field. Small sample of course, but that says more then 2 preseason games.

I can't believe he would say that, but it is what it is. Good luck trying to fill in for Suh

Really Ngata? I always wish for the best when players leave the Ravens, but not in this case.

  5. Torrey and Anquan won Super Bowls with us and are now stuck on a team with poor management, constant bad decisions and looks like they will face a losing season ahead. They deserve so much better.

and then torrey turned down respectable contract offers twice, he bet on himself once, lost, and then turned down our next contract offer which supposedly was basically the same as the first one offered, and he turned that one down, for an extra 500k over 4 years in SF. they did it to themselves.

    3. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Torrey IMO pulled every bit a Cundiff move on that last play. Just a wee bit of effort and it is at least not an INT. Oh well - be a loser in SF. See how you like it. Still have some Boldin love - perhaps it is more respect - but making the claim he'd retire a Raven before putting on another Jersey & then refusing a pay cut - kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Another who will reap what he sowed.

    4. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

i dont have much love for boldin after that classless and desperate money grab. i still got love for torrey, but he boned us on that play by completely giving up and cost us a trip to the AFCCG and then ditched us for a small difference of money, and after CA income tax, he actually makes less than what he wouldve gotten by taking our deal. so yeah i feel they just chased a couple extra pennies and said to hell with baltimore

  6. Harvard released a new study that says the Seahawks will face.... The Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl 50. Yet they give us 9% chance of making the playoffs? Everyone at Harvard needs to be drug tested ASAP.

The STUDENT who wrote it is plainly stupid: he used fantasy numbers to predict playoffs! I wouldn't call that 'analytics'... more like the playing house version of it.

      PuRock

I was at it again this year. Brutal like always, but I kept at it.

I did get two tickets to the KC game 1st row in the 500 section somehow at about 10:45.

Browns game Section 128 then in Miami section 117. IK am satisfied although the Pittsburgh game does intrigue me.

  9. Both Dez Bryant and Thomas got identical contracts. Gostkowski just got a 4 year $17M deal from Patriots. Think Tucker would accept that?

    1. stampedehero

      stampedehero

Sure. This team would give him the cash

  10. The Rams must be planning to start 11 OL on offense this season. How Denver didn't take Isaiah Battle is beyond me.

    1. 52520Andrew

      52520Andrew

Eh the Rams have a lot of uncertainty there so they are pretty much throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall and seeing if anything sticks with these rookies

  11. Crazy that Anthony Davis' 5 year $145M deal is worth $29M a year. If you didn't watch the NBA, you think he was an all pro NFL QB with that kind of money. Crazy to think Luck and Wilson may get a very similar contract.

    1. Orange_Peanut

      Orange_Peanut

The NBA signed a massive $24 B TV deal this year while the NFL has a $27 B contract in place. The NFL has a cap for a 53 man roster while its just a 15 man roster in the NBA. Until the NFL renews their TV contract in 2022, I don't think NFL teams will be shelling out that much money... just yet. Anyways, Davis is a beast and deserves that money. He's going to be the best player in the league in a couple of years.

    2. ravensnick

      ravensnick

Davis is probably the third best all around player in the NBA after Lebron and Durant

  12. Anyone know good video game forums? Apparently Operation Sports consists of ban happy Mods. Just got banned for mentioning Joe Montana Football 16 for no reason. So yeah... need a new video game forum to go on.

  13. Was reading The Caw, man I can't believe our boy Joe is 30 already. Man time sure does fly, but at least he wants to play into his 40's, so we are pretty much set at QB for the next 10 years.

    1. ratedr

      ratedr

I feel like I've watched my kid grow up, never mind that Joe is older than me.

    3. callahan09

      callahan09

Haha. There are fewer than 10 players on the Ravens roster right now that are older than me. Joe is not one of them :(

  14. Ozzie should keep Flacco at his $28M cap hit for next season to troll the rest of the league given these ridiculous new QB contracts.

    1. ellicottraven

      ellicottraven

They've actually accounted for that in next year's cap strategy I believe. If you go back to the state of the Ravens presser, I believe they talked about it.

  15. Wonder if I'm the only one who likes the Extra Point being moved back. With this passing league, I was positive the Kicker position would turn into a dying a breed and be phased out. Now the NFL just put emphasis on having a good Kicker and made it more important of a position for the full 60 minutes, not just parts of the game.

    1. beasy2487

      beasy2487

I don't totally agree because, unless this equates to higher pay for kickers, I think it just means there is a higher incentive to go for 2.

    2. RavensAllTheWay

      RavensAllTheWay

I think it's a terrible change because games are now going to be won and lost by what happens after TDs. What if a game comes down to a kicker missing a 33 yard FG? What if it comes down to which team makes for 2 pt attempts? Not how games should be decided.

  16. This year might be our best shot we have had at Home Field Advantage. Steelers, Patriots both have secondaries that are questionable. Br*dy is suspended first four games. Denver is praying Manning's arm can hold up through the season. That just leaves us.

    1. raven22nation

      raven22nation

Yes Colts look like a great contender this year.. I can see them as a 2-3 seed this year

    2. JO_75

      JO_75

Colts? Breshad Perriman, Steve Smith, Maxx Williams, and Forsett. Against their putrid secondary? Don't think so.

    3. VeiledPsychosis

      VeiledPsychosis

Their secondary isn't THAT bad, sure they aren't shutting anyone down but Davis is legit. Perriman and Williams are both rookies so lets not act as if they're guaranteed to put up big numbers. I'm not saying we can't win against them but they are more of a challenge than you are making them out to be. Plus, if they force the game into a shootout they have plenty of weapons to beat lots of teams.

RB, CB, DL Depth and possibly another target like a Stefon Diggs or maybe a tackle? We'll see we have 6 picks so all of those could be picks!!

We are so blessed as fans.

  18. If Pitta can return healthy, with the addition of Perriman, and we avoid injuries in the secondary, for once in our 20 seasons, we'll have a balanced team that is deadly on both sides of the ball.

    1. Gordo52
    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Big "if" for Pitta and doesn't seem to be a great draft for TE talent. Have to hope Gilmore & Supernaw can step up if Pitta can't go this season.

That's not a Favre - what you need to do is retire again, then unretire next week and demand your moderator job back - and you have to tell them if you don't get it back, you'll go to the Steelers, become one of their moderators, and take your revenge on us.

  20. After years on this board, I'm going to retire from the forums. Have fun with the Draft and the 2015 season.

  21. With the mess in SF with everyone retiring left and right, you have to feel sorry for Torrey. He deserves so much more than this. Hey Jed, we'll give you Arthur Brown and you'll give us Torrey back.... Deal? :)

    1. stampedehero

      stampedehero

Apparantly Arthur Brown is not welcome here. Why would SF players retire? Lets start a conspiricy..

    2. Ravenslifer

      Ravenslifer

Why feel sorry for Torrey? He has a ring, he has money in the bank, he's re-united with Q, and IMO most Ravens fans have no hard feelings over him leaving for that big of a contract. The 49ers may be bad this year, but there's always next year. I think he's perfectly happy in San Francisco.

  22. So far I'm liking the way Free Agency signings are heading. Teams filling needs at CB and RB now. Meaning hello good CB or RB at 26.

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Well now it better be WR at 26. No Jacoby, No Torrey. Need a true top WR. We only have role guys left.

  23. Man, Pagano is getting as bad as Rex. Go ahead and over pay McPhee and we'll take that very good compensatory pick in return.

    1. PurpleCity5

      PurpleCity5

To be honest, Pagano had plenty to do with McPhee's success, I'm certain Indy would be ideal for McPhee considering that he'll be joining former teammates and I'm sure he likes Pagano a lot.

    2. MissRay27

      MissRay27

Yeah, just like Cleveland and Miami picking up our guys. Hope he shows up for them, not like Ellerbe, and I'm certain Cleveland regrets giving Kruger all that money,

    3. PurpleCity5

      PurpleCity5

Kruger was actually really good this year but I felt they didn't have to give a contract that lucrative.
