I think I figured out why most here are more concerned with a top pick than winning out and getting to the playoffs. Just the idea of grabbing a top 5/10 player is so out of the ordinary that the first time we have that chance it's fascinating to us as fans. So wanting to lose out to ensure we get that player, is something that intrigues us enough where losing just becomes a positive. Also the fact, it may be a while before we get this opportunity at a top 5/10 player again.
I was all in on going on a playoff run up until joe went down to be honest. I will still root for them regardless but when we lose knowing that were headed for a top 5 pick softens the blow a bit.
^January J, my thoughts exactly. I wanted to see us make a run, but i lost hope the moment we lost Flacco. I will never root for us to lose, but I won't be as sad....SO LONG as these players continue to fight. Some of these dudes are auditioning for next season.
I won't be mad if we wind up with a top 10 or 5 pick as long as we know what were doing with it... But knowing this team I would not be surprised if we lose tommorow then win in Miami next weekend and we have to still hope we can make the playoffs. That being said what would we use it with?
