  1. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ted win MITB and become a Future WWE Champion at some point, in which if he does get the brief case I wouldn't be surprised to see him be given the proper build up before winning the WWE Championship. Now for Ted Jr vs Undertaker at WM 27 next year, I'll be all for it. I figure the WWE would cross paths with that storyline of Ted Sr bringing him in to the WWE, and how Taker turned on Ted and maybe even bringing back Paul Bearer who Taker left Ted for, to be at Undertakers side for that match with Ted Sr in the corner of his son. It certainly could be a great match, and a great build of Ted Jr. I would be all for it, Ted Dibiase Jr with Ted Sr vs Undertaker with Paul Bearer. Now for Undertaker retiring, or who should end the streak, well for one he won't retire anytime soon but he should because he can't do as much anymore in the ring, I think he should but I have a feeling WWE will get his streak at 20-0 before he retires. Now should anyone end it, NO! Now what we need to take into account is that Undertaker suggested Kane to end the streak and for Orton to end the streak, yet both declined the offer because of the respect they have for him, so it sounds like Mark Caloway(Taker's real name) is in favor of having someone end the streak, but I'm not sure if Vince would go for it or any superstar because just like Orton and Kane, they have a lot of respect for him. Now here's who I would choose for his last WM opponents(based on if he retires with a 20-0 streak at WM). WM 27(Atlanta, GA)- Ted Dibiase Jr(get the whole Ted Sr storyline in now and build up Ted Jr this way) 19-0 WM 28(Toronto, CA)- Triple H 20-0 (Taker's final WM Match in Toronto Canada with The Game and in this case they can get the whole Streak vs Career angle where if Triple H wins, Taker retires(similar to the angle with Shawn) but in this case Taker wins but still ends up retiring going out on top.)
  2. Well something tells me otherwise, they are trying to play out the whole Invasion Angle from 10 years ago with WWF vs WCW/ECW but with Nexus playing the role of WCW/ECW. I read that a "top star" is expected to "defect" so to speak to join Nexus and turn on the WWE. Right now the top of that list for me is between Triple H and Sheamus The Evil Irish Ghost. Triple H has been needed a heel turn for quite a while and he did help Sheamus get over as a legit threat(even though most say Sheamus is where he is now because of being workout buddies with Triple H)and Sheamus who is the WWE Champion would be a bigger blow because of him having the WWE Championship when joining them which would "hurt" the WWE. That's what I believe will happen, it's either Sheamus or Triple H who "defects" and joins Nexus. Though Triple H is questionable because I have read that he is suppose to play the savior part and "save" the WWE from Nexus, and if that is the case I expect Sheamus to be the one who defects to Nexus and for Triple H to end up being a 14 Time World Champion when it is all set & done.
  3. Yeah me too, I would so agree with you. I wish they would do the traditional PPVs like you said. I remember it was a rarity when we got a TLC Match, a Hell In A Cell Match and it was done like once a year, maybe twice if we were lucky. Now by having PPVs themed around them it takes away the suspense of wondering when the next HITC or TLC Match is, now it's oh ok so now we know when it will happen. If it was up to me here is how I would do the PPV structuring: January- Royal Rumble: Obviously this won't get touched or replaced never. February- NO PPV (Saturday Night Main Event): I would remove Elimination Chamber from Feb and you will see where I placed it and have Saturday Night Main Event take place instead and help the build up for WM. March- Wrestlemania: The Biggest PPV of the year April- Backlash: Extreme Rules does not fit after WM, I feel like this is the PPV where WM feuds should end. The name itself sets it up to only happen after WM. May- Over The Limit: I was surprised it was a gimmick PPV, I thought for sure that this was a way to book Iron Man Matches, but I was wrong and thankfully it was a regular PPV, so this is a keeper, just make sure it don't happen again where it was 10 years to the very day of Owen Hart's death at a similar PPV (Over The Edge) June- King Of the Ring: I say bring this back, forget a MITB PPV, keep MITB at Wrestlemania and here the winner of the King Of the Ring Tournament(this is how u build stars) gets a Title Shot at Summerslam at whoever the champion is on their brand. July- No PPV: Yes This is a Month off from PPV, as there should be a good amount of build up from the winner of the King Of the Ring to facing the champion at Summer Slam. August- Summerslam: This is the 3rd Biggest PPV of the year. September- Unforgiven: This just fits in the WWE PPV Schedule and like I said they need to bring back the old PPVs. October- No PPV/No Mercy: Saturday Night Main Event. Again as you can see, I have no PPV for July to help the build to Summer Slam, well since SSeries is the 4th PPV of the "Big 4" have a build up of this and since it's built around Raw vs. SD, it can consisted of Raw vs. SD matches to prepare for SSeries. Or they can put in No Mercy again, so either No PPV or No Mercy. November- Survivor Series: This is the 4th Biggest PPV, and am so glad they brought this back, as you can see I tossed Bragging Rights because this is where the Raw vs. SD part comes in, each year have a Raw vs. SD Traditional Survivor Series Matches and the winner gets that trophy. December: Elimination Chamber: This is a huge drop for Elimination Chamber, from Feb to December. I said this was too big of a PPV to be in between RR and WM, this should be instead at the end before the RR, and the PPV that used to be here Armageddon, the Chamber started at that PPV so keep it here in December and have it before the Rumble and Road to Wrestlemania. PPVs Eliminated: - Extreme Rules - MITB - Bragging Rights - Fatal 4 Way - Hell in A Cell Total PPVs In a Year: 9 PPVs (10 PPVs if No Mercy happens in October over SNME.)
  4. Hey what do you guys think about the MITB PPV? Does this mean no more MITB at Wrestlemania or is WWE ruining the concept by having it at Wrestlemania and a PPV months later(like this year) Also what is your view on gimmick PPVs as a whole(we have seen plenty this year and last year, Fatal 4 Way, Elimination Chamber, Hell In a Cell, TLC, etc) and dropping the originals like Backlash, Judgement Day, Armageddon? Personally, I think the MITB concept is ruined by having it at Wrestlemania and a PPV based around it with the same stipulation(use it within a year of the time they win it) now I can certainly see it if they used the MITB PPV to get the main events for Summer Slam as in the winner of MITB at the PPV get a title shot at Summer Slam but not having the same rules as the Wrestlemania one. I wish they would dump MITB PPV and just keep it at Wrestlemania and actually have someone keep it for a while and build someone up.
  5. Yeah I don't think the people they get the stuff from would go along with it if it was the real stuff falling off, I mean a car fell off! I wouldn't be surprised that they do some battle royal for a Superstar to Guest Host Raw, and Jericho ends up winning just so they could help him promote Downfall. Plus I wouldn't be shocked if they don't do a WWE Themed show where different Superstars and Divas are contestants and whatever prize money they win go to Make A Wish or some other charity.
  6. Ahhhh, too much good tv on tonight, I was watching Americas Got Talent, than I remembered that Jericho's game show was also on at 9, and I want to watch that new Memphis Beat show on TNT at 10, I think a DVR is very handy for me instead of switching between commercials. I think Jericho does a great job, I watched last week and it is a whole new Jericho, he seems like he is having fun with the show and enjoys every minute it. Though I can't believe some of the things on the belt that wind up falling over the edge.
  7. Yep he still does have to work on legit heat but wow did he get booed like crazy on Monday Night every time that email ding went off and he walked to the podium stand. I was like ouch... and Franchise I think you can include Jerry Lawler in that list of taking Vince's crap and still showing up for work. I mean Coach, Taz and Mick Foley couldn't take it having Vince in their ear every night telling them what to say yet Lawler, Cole, and amazingly Jim Ross who is the best wrestling announcer out there, stayed with the company even when Vince mistreated him and made a storyline out of his medical issues. Now that takes guts to stay with a company even when they poke fun at a medical issue.
  8. So does anyone think that Taker-McCool could be the new HHH-Stephanie? lol jk. Yeah I know they have been together since 2007 and I know a lot of people give her the same grief they give Triple H(with marrying the boss' daughter) and that is McCool only got her push because of being with the Undertaker. Though I think McCool is one of the few divas that can wrestle in today's WWE, and certainly I wish they would give Lay-Cool a new storyline, anyone notice that they are now calling Rosa Mendez fat... the way they did with Mickie? Well if anything I'm hoping that with Lay-Cool calling Rosa fat and picking on her it would lead to Mickie coming back... WWE made a huge mistake getting rid of her.
  9. Sounded like a lot of fun, I remember going to a house show in 07 in Wildwood, NJ and that was fun, and that set an attendance record for the convention center. House shows seem like they are more fun and the wrestlers are more relaxed. Now on to what I bolded. I probably would have pulled out $5 and paid for Cotton Candy and tried to get down to the barricade and yelling to get Maryse's attention and gave her the cotton candy, or better yet I would have stole a stick of Cotton Candy for Maryse, in fact I would do anything for her. That comes to no surprise that the Miz is great on the mic, it would not surprise me to see him in the Raw MITB match at the PPV coming up. To me the promo where he is backstage talking about all he went through early on, that was what started things for him as a singles competitor. Well that don't surprise me that Edge didn't leave much for a photo op, with his whole heel gimmick it's a rarity a heel leaves a photo op for people... I guess he forgot how to do the all so famous 5 Second Pose.... this has to be my favorite one.... and you all would agree: E & C 5 Second Pose on SD before Ravens-Raiders game in 2001: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVAhFiELkbI Right now I'm trying to save up to go to Wrestlemania 27 since it is in Atlanta next year, but hopefully I can find a house show or a SD taping to go to in NC(I missed the Raw show a couple weeks back) Glad you had Fun!
  10. Then don't mention it and get her autograph without her knowing I think I have only met 2 or 3 wrestlers ever, my first was when I was in either 1st or 3rd grade and I met Scott "Razor Ramon" Hall and at the time he was the IC champion and the picture is me holding the title(surprisingly I could hold the belt without falling, it was heavy!) and him in the back doing his trademark pose. On Memorial Day Weekend I met...... WOOOOOOOOOOOO! That's Right the Nature Boy Ric Flair at a Wal-Mart in Concord, NC. I'll say this I wanted to ask him something about TNA but I was just so star struck to be having the chance to get his autograph, I just stayed quiet lol. He signed my Wrestlemania 24 DVD. Since most of you guys are from MD, and I am but moved to NC, did anyone here go to Backlash in 2008 or the recent PPV Extreme Rules at 1st Mariner Arena?
  11. It will be a shame when Edge retires. Edge was certainly one of the best superstars in the WWE and his whole Rated R persona really fitted him well. Certainly Edge was thrown in some odd story lines(Vickie Guerrero) but he went along with it and performed well. I think certainly he could be around longer if it wasn't for all the TLC Matches he did in the 90's. Granted they were fun to watch but take away any ladder match off his resume and I'm sure he might have been healthier today. He just hasn't been the same since he came back at the Rumble earlier in the year, it was great to see him come back but I think he came back too early and personally I think he should have waited until about now to come back to be fully healed and start his feud with Jericho now and saved their Wrestlemania Match for Summer Slam. The one thing I will remember(and this is was one of the reasons I bolded Bischoff's name) is when Edge returned in 2004 and speared Eric Bischoff... talking about making an impact, spear the GM. Edge Returns in 2004 and Spears Eric Bischoff: Now for Jericho, I think this is the best he has ever been probably since his feud with Shawn Michaels in 2008. You are right, Jericho is one of those guys where he is still considered a main eventer regardless he has the title, he's chasing the title or in mid card defending the IC Championship. I think it's great that Jericho is helping Evan Bourne get over, just wish their matches would be longer, especially at Fatal 4 Way where it only got 12 minutes and probably deserved the 6 minutes it took to do the Divas Fatal 4 Way match to make it an 18 minute match, and given the extra 6 minutes or somewhere around 20-25 minutes, Jericho and Bourne could put on a wrestling clinic. I still find it funny how Eric Bischoff said that Chris Jericho couldn't headline.... well he held him down in WCW for the NWO to be re-born a billion times until Vince bought WCW, and right when Jericho came to the WWF/E he became a star, and had the bold task of interrupting The Great One. First Undisputed Champion by beating both Stone Cold & The Rock, and his promos with Stephanie McMahon.... hilarious! Again Eric said Jericho couldn't headline.... amazing.... oh wait.... hold on here is what Bischoff said(it's more of a summary couldn't find exact quote from Eric but have the exact quote from Jericho's twitter(oh and time for a DX like plug, you can follow Jericho here: http://twitter.com/IAmJericho ) about Jericho and Jericho's response: Bischoff: He never crapped on Jericho, likes him, but doesn’t think he can headline. Jericho's Response: Bischoffs right I can't headline in TNA...cos I'm not in my 50s. Typical Jericho!
  12. lol well I'll say both, they are drooling and just not cheering in front of their wife or girlfriend. That is the one thing I'm jealous of the Miz about and that he is dating Maryse in real life, that lucky bum lol. @ATD: Yeah I wasn't a fan of Sheamus at first but he has grown on me. I really wish they had done a better build up of him before he won the title first instead of just giving him the title after Cena jumped off the rope. Granted they did a great job of building him up with his storyline with Triple H, and Trips put him over very well I mean Trips let him take him out. It just makes me wonder if Sheamus can end up switching sides and joining the Nexus group since he is a big time heel now and he has the title which would hurt the WWE kayfabe wise. I also am a fan of some of these new guys they have and am waiting for John Morrison to get his push and become WWE Champion, I'm waiting for the Miz to get his shot at the main event and possibly become WHC on SD, I wish they kept the belt on Swagger, he was just going into his own as Champion and they take it off of him and put it on the guy who injured Undertaker, so essentially the WWE awarded Rey for injuring Taker by giving him his spot in the match and the belt.
  13. So A Cena match is more like a Hulk Hogan match except he Hulks up, points his finger at his opponent, does a few punches, tosses him into the ropes for a big boot(unless his opponent ducks) and he hits a leg drop that I know nobody in real life would stay down that long, kinda like how it is hard to believe someone stays down long enough for Cena to do the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and Hogan wins the match. I think a better comparison for Cena is Hulk Hogan, plays the Super Man Gimmick, hardly loses, always gets the belt back somehow and instead of telling people to say their prayers and eat their vitamins Cena just has this whole Hustle, Loyalty and Respect thing. Yeah, which to me says he'll continue to get beat up by these rookies and somehow end up "saving the WWE" from the Nexus Invasion(though I read that the savior role is probably going to played by Triple H) The whole Rock-Cena thing, again the only thing they have in common is that they did movies, Cena is this generations Hulk Hogan. Though I would love to see The Rock vs John Cena at Wrestlemania and see The Rock take John Cena to Jabroni Drive at the Smackdown Hotel. I AGREE ABOUT PUNK! Mysterio needed to join the SES a while back. Mysterio needed to lose to not only enhance the SES but move Punk closer to the World Heavyweight Championship. For Punk to lose to Mysterio and have his hair shaved so soon, made me mad. I could have seen Mysterio winning and the SES getting involved and saving Punk from a hair cut and Punk runs off and keeps his hair to enhance the feud. The WWE dropped the ball on the SES just like they did with Legacy. I'm a huge a fan of Punk and love this Straight Edge Gimmick though I do question making it a heel gimmick when your geared toward kids, making it seem like it is ok to do drink and do drugs. I'll be waiting for the day where they go to something similar to the AE, but let's remember one thing the AE was something we won't get back and seemed like it was just right. We had guys like The Rock, Stone Cold, NWO & DX running around causing havoc, the AE seemed more like having the right stars in the right company at the right time. If they can keep me hooked for as long they have(I am 20, and have watched since I was in 1st grade) than I don't expect to stop watching and stop going to events, and stop buying their Video Games and DVDs, in fact I went to Broadcasting School so I can end up either in NFL or NASCAR, I would love to go work for the WWE, production or backstage announcer would be fine for me. Edit: Just changed my Avatar to the new WWE Champion, Sheamus! Now can someone get a memo to Vince about changing the WWE Title back to it's pre-Cena Belt Change, that belt looks stupid on guys like Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista and Sheamus, and that is the truth Fella!
