I so agree, I have always wondered why Vince keeps using scripts now a days. Like you said, The Rock & Austin were born because of their free style, say what you want as long as it enhances the storyline characters. Plus promos are so predictable, like if Barrett is talking about Cena, and talking about taking the title away... well it's predictable that Cena will come out and Wade would stand there like ok he's here now, no shock value of "who does think he is cutting me off." I gotta say the best wrestlers mic wise are the ones who can sell the story, and improvise when needed. Example, Triple H & HBK. The funny things about DX was when they would randomly say things and somehow it helped whatever storyline they were in. I'm sure Trips has freedom, Cena and Orton and the top guys probably have freedom of no script but your right. I don't get why they need a script anyhow unless your rookies like the Nexus are and other young new comers, Vince just needs to say ok and I'll use 2 superstars as an example, Cena your going to start Raw, go out there have fun and sell winning the WWE Championship again or sell how Nexus keeps costing you the title, at some random point we'll play Sheamus music and Sheamus what you will say is how you would have won without Nexus and just get into a heated argument face to face than to end the segment the email noise will go off and put you in your matches. It's basic, just tell them what the main point of what they are saying and that' it. I always told my friend if I was the Guest Host, I would tell Vince, ok tell me who is going to come out, tell me the basic point I have to make, and tell me how it ends and that's it. Hm... yeah they are calling it "Hardcore Justice" to go with the effect of the ECW storyline.... boy where I have seen this before.... oh yeah Vince already did it. They should have brought in Heyman in the first place, screw Hogan & Bischoff Heyman would be so much better, remember when he was SD GM, I believe he had some say in creative and SD was good because of Heyman's ideas. I knew from the beginning, Heyman should have been brought in because not only can Heyman cut a good promo when needed to, but his ideas for wrestling story lines are better than probably most of the WWE creative writers now. Who's watching MITB in about 10 minutes or so?
