  1. did you miss 2007 when the media didn't excuse our injuries, we didn't have fans outside of b-more, fans were scared of having prime-time games for fear of embarrassment. Ravens fanbase has grown enough to support this bad season. you can get ravens games around dc since 2011 and you can find ravens fan gear dang near the DC line. 2007 no one noticed our injuries....we were just that invisible team that was bad.
  2. we play in the AFC North and you can't roll that type of dice. BIG BEN has/had solid backups and you need that type of insurance. Granted, BIG BEN is guaranteed to miss quarters and/or game every season. I don't like to miss a beat and we are fortunate the media is addressing our injuries and giving us excuses....cause in 2007 they called us a bad team and we routinely got a dump taken on us. I feel like our fanbase is still strong and are not the laughing stock we were in 2007 when wusa around dc wouldn't dare show a ravens game. since 2011 wusa 9 around dc has shown all the ravens games.
  3. belichick will hang it up when Brady does.....and maybe come back years later if at all. it's like Urban Meyer & Tebow. It's like John Madden & Favre Sean Payton & Drew Brees Howard Cosell & Ali The player moves on and so does the coach/announcer-commentator.
  4. yup, it's was called the 1998 vikings, lol! Do you remember them? 2006 he gave the boot to jim fassel and called solid plays for the team....McNair just couldn't throw the ball more than 20yards down the field. Billick downfall was his love for kyle boller, being to easy on players, and cupcake camps. He can do his thing at OC where he can be buddy-buddy with players. I feel a head coach needs to be harder-nosed like harbaugh.
  5. The real question is...who still watches first take?!?!? SKIP & SAS are trolls and get into social commentary that has nothing to do with football!!! First take got exposed during the Ray Rice issue and how Michele Beadle got SAS suspended for his opinion.
  6. just a few minor tweaks and it is possible. It will be one of the best comebacks in recent times. RG3 redskins were 2-6 and bounced back with him as a rookie and I feel our franchise is much better. 1) Alignment, assignment, technique in the secondary....we bring in someone to coach them up at their position 2) workout Javier Arenas to see what he can provide at DB and push the guys in practice 3) Bring in Terrell Owens on a 10day contract...very much in shape and can still get open. I feel he is humbled like SSS that was a former team cancer as well. He can give us another dynamic to take pressure off of SSS. Vet minimum if he can hang 4) Bring in Wes Welker on a 10day contract to push the guys. 5) Acceptance of the defense and changing our offensive strategy to increase TOS or to run up the score see the defense can pin their ears back so the CB's don't need to cover as long. 6) applaud the offensive line and ask them to keep up the good work even though the skill guys are letting them down. Keep the big men happy! 7) We get creative on offense and get playmakers at WR and TE the ball. More bunch formations and Screens to get open guys. 8)Tell Flacco to be a team player and if we run a wild cat...he needs to actually run a route to keep the defense honest. 9)Use Flacco's running ability in some option situations...he needs to carry the team as his contract warrants. 10) Flacco has thrown 28 interceptions on the road since 2013 aka the most in the NFL and unacceptable for his potential and pay grade. 2015 is the year he needs to be that man! he needs to be protected from himself at times by limiting his in traffic throws. Flacco has a rocket....but it ain't exactly laser accurate. Small coaching tweaks, small game play tweaks, and small personnel tweaks...then we start winning games by 6 points instead of losing by 6 points. All hope is not lost! PLAY LIKE A RAVEN!!!
  7. harbs was getting blasted during ed reed led mutinies, having camps harder than billick, and the check down to ray rice era. people have always said he inherited the team and would have rode kyle boller as well until injuries set him and troy smith back. Harbs had Flacco number 3 on the depth chart!!! (granted flacco & matt ryan started the let the 1st round QB play no matter what trend we see today....harbs was still in a traditional mindset until injury forced his hand)
  8. steve smith and cam newton don't get along. steve smith is a team cancer that undermined cam newton. he ain't going back to carolina unless it's a 1day contract to retire.
  9. billick was a players coach and that backfired....he had an undisciplined team. HC: harbs OC:billick DC: Rex Ryan would be success!!!
  10. i agree.... he brought us discipline that the billick era didn't have at all. harbaugh grew our fanbase, came up with slogans/mantras, always about next man up, sent tape to the nfl his rookie season to show the bias refs had against the ravens.
  11. Brian Billick would come back. We seen him one good year with McNair that couldn't throw more than 40yrds....give him a Flacco and he should kill the game like he did in Minnesota. but billick runs cupcake camps and practices tho....and his teams lacked the discipline of harbs. I would hope a more mature billick wouldn't lose the team.
  12. 28 and that's a fact!!!...not including fumbles. This stat alone for a top 10 high paid QB is a needed thread beyond the rants. That's not very elite! Flacco suppose to be top 10 and I never dissed him in all his years....but he needs to play better and make up for our defense. He needs to make the plays that are there instead of forcing thing in double coverage...this dude suppose to be top 10!!! Flacco needs to be hanging 50pts during these rough times. Flacco needs to make receivers elite and household names by throwing better passes. would we be 1-5 with Rodgers or Brady? .... more like 3-3. Now I understand all 6 games have been +/- 6pts win or loses....but I feel the offense in which we spent the most money needs to be the rock of the team and bail out the defense.

  14. carson palmer has had the ravens number for a long time.....when carson is hot, he's hot plus he got a WR core that is savvy.
  15. Good point....arm wresting is technique if you do it right and you should only lose if your arm gets broken (but most wouldn't hold on that long even at fundamental soundness) . And I feel the Ravens need to work on fundamentals defensively and should only look bad if they get injured. And that goes to the next point of underestimation. Anyone that lines up you get that win and enjoy that win. That lady that played arena football at RB that got low/had good technique made guys look stupid during her time and coached pre season in the NFL. But I would purposely lose at lingerie football tho....I'll be at the bottom of those piles with regularity, haha.

  17. Torrey smith didn't have enough aggression last playoffs to get the ball/snatch it out of the air. We knew Torrey's ceiling/limitations. He was a welcomed addition...but he was a number #2 at best as he could get open on some patterns and front run to run up stats/points....but he couldn't run the route tree like Steve smith and other #1s. Torrey smith was pretty much a low grade moss....cris carter & Wes welker were the consistent route running guys and were not afraid of the middle.
  18. First time in Ravens history we been 0-3. However Harbaugh is still the best coach in Ravens history and I said that due to consistency before he won a Super Bowl. Brian Billick lost the locker room too many times, ran cup cake training camps, and loved Kyle boller too much. Marvin Lewis telling the defense to score was more important than Billick during the super bowl run.
  19. Prime SSS was a team cancer. Hell, he throw cam newton under a bus 2yrs ago & had unnecessary fist fights with teammates. We got a different Steve smith...but if we keep losing he may call out the team in the media. Ray was always uplifting. SSS was hyper critical of teammates for years. We got the SSS that is appreciative of the game since it's the end.
  20. But we don't have that Ray Lewis and Ed Reed players that would freestyle on hunches. We had questionable pass defense end of Ray & Eds career, but their identification of plays covered up weakness.
  21. Only 2 home games in October. I was hoping .500 until November then use our favorable home schedule that the NFL finally blessed us with to get home field hole playoffs. Oh well. We go 13-3 now.
  22. we have a lot of home games 2nd half of season....beat-up teams coming into b-more should give us an advantage. We need to take advantage of this year for home-field advantage for overall number 1 seed come playoff time. NFL gave us a gift....
  23. when you blackout anything can happen. and the woman issue is the only thing that matters in this gender neutral world if you will. I'm saying the only thing that could hurt him is an issue with a woman...noone cares about anything else from a public perception. the narrative for aldon "is at least he didn't pull a ray rice" so he's a better person
  24. but a broad how do you feel questions allows you to talk about what occurred and the corrections that need to be made...does it not? a good interviewee usually extrapolates the real question and runs with it....granted the nature of being a coach at the half slows down harbs clarity of concept/you run with it. However, if kimmy kimmel asked the question a guest would run with it to get their point across instead of saying ask better questions. it's not a police investigation....it's more like a job interview questions where you get a broad question and are allowed to take it in directions to show your skills and ideas. I think of questions as concepts and would answer even things not asked to get my point across best.
  25. Aldon Smith is not a dude with a bad habit....he abuse substance until he blacks out. Last thing we need for him to come here and get into an altercation with a female at power plant live and have a ray rice situation. he would have to have a clause to stay away from women cause he can be a lose cannon around a man all he wants and it will be a non issue.
