  1. To be fair Jay Cutler hasn't done anything of note in Chicago. Jay Cutler keeps getting a pass.
  2. with Personnel Control/GM duties......BILL COWHER imo would love to coach Flacco and go against the AFC North again. I doubt our team would let go of GM control to that degree....but i'm sure he would come to b-more and be motivated in beating Tomlin and Lewis every single season!
  3. by that logic billick should have not be fired. 2007 was nothing but injuries! if we go 5-11 harbs is gone....that record is unlikely so he will have another yr even though we are not out of the playoff race this year. The difference is harbaugh wins games in the playoffs just like flacco...which billick teams couldn't do well beyond 2000. we just need to get to the dance and anything can happen. 2014 was a SB team, but the pats cheated us....we would have beat the colts and been in the championship game, no doubt!
  4. what was subpar about 2014? that was a superbowl caliber team. pats cheated us!
  5. Before I even thought about posting on a forum like this in 2003....back when I was in high school Kyle Boller tripping over his own feet was a huge problem. The man couldn't even drop back properly and used to hold onto the ball too long with little pocket awareness...that's instant bust material! Kyle Boller's best game was against the pats in 2007! yet people wanted him in 2008 with a poor track record! Over the last couple years...once you jump on this forum people write off a player in a rookie season even though they have more bright spots that Boller!!! What happened to this fan base on the radio/tv and on this forums?!?! The entitlement of the fans is not Ravens like at all!!! I joined this board in 2008 cause we were 2-3 and I was 500miles away from B-more due to college and needed a place that was pro ravens and saw the value in our team no matter who lined up....though I wanted a vet QB to lead us, but I was glad Flacco had signs of poise that Boller never had! Now everyone sounds like Skip Bayless and Screamin A. Smith, constantly....but don't even get paid to speak in such a manner, lol. I miss the old fan base that used to complain about the lack of prime time football games and used to complain about the lack of respect from ESPN. This new fan base is scared of prime time games and has deadskins entitlement over instant success....I'm not feeling this change in us!
  6. how do you know?... you have a link to a website that shows Billick wasn't/hasn't been wanted, lol? why would Billick not have been wanted as he was OC for the 98 Vikings, won a superbowl, and went 13-3 in 2006 with an injured QB...he proved he just/only needed a competent QB to win.
  7. same reasons as Bill Cowher! they didn't find the right situation...they need a certain level of personnel input.
  8. 5-11 or worse harbs is out! period. Now, Given a competent QB Billick could get it done! Billick with Joe Flacco would be interesting! Billick got it done with a broke down McNair and we would have beat the colts in the playoffs if McNair could throw the ball more than 20yards down the field. Billick and Newsome was a good combo and I think Billick could maximize Flacco by simply calling the plays himself. 2007 5-11 was simply an injury disaster coming off of 13-3 and tempers were shorts.
  9. Bruh, i'm talking about how we treat young talent and are not patient. People wanted Jimmy Smith gone during struggle first few season and now people want Perriman gone at 6 games! However, this fanbase made every excuse for Kyle Boller even after McNair outclassed him while he (McNair) could barely throw the ball down field.
  10. it was titled " come in the this thread and name 5 Qbs you'd rather have than flacco!" I was making a point before the mods changed the thread title cause most of the the replies high jacked me with naming a lot of people! I was factoring age, experience, and success and I could only come up with 4 Qb's if you add Aaron Rodgers to my opening post.
  11. I'm just not used to this as I seen most every game since 96' as I was 10yrs old when we came to town. I remember being like when is Baltimore going to get an Nfl team since I was 6-7 yrs old as I was fan of a cowboys and wanted something local. I was a fan of the CFL COLT/STALLIONS too! 96-98 I was a cowboys/ravens fan. But that 1999 8-8 season made 100% Ravens fan as I saw a toughness and grit that moved me as a teenager and we looked championship like in demeanor. Then the next season we win it all!!!
  12. This is 2016. Ravens stopped the Giants from running at a certain point and then the giants lit it up through the air. we made the giants one dimensional per ravens fashion the last 16yrs. But the thing is our pass defense has been questionable the last 7yrs as Ed Reed was declining...and McCalister and Rolle were washed up. we had strong front 7s...but we had shutdown corners that could hand with a WR beyond one move. The issue of pass defense occurred when we copied the steelers formula of only the front 7 mattering and let the DB's jump routes like Ike Taylor and Townsend and not worrying about DB's covering 2nd moves.
  13. I mentioned him a few pages ago since he was 32. but only 4 QB's based on age and talent that I feel would be better choice than Flacco.
  14. Skill players that need to be in on this ballot: McNabb LT TO Brian Dawkins
  15. Rodgers is actually 32!!! he's more than a one season guy! Luck makes bad decisions. Carr can play in the AFC so that's cool. Wentz is unproven.
  16. Didn't realize Rodgers was only 32! thought he was 35 since I remember him behind Brett Favre for a long time. That makes 4 people that have enough proven skill and young enough to have a future with 6years from now...and of course good enough to ball out today! My point is being young enough for future play at a high level, but has enough ability and battle tested to get it done today as well. Once you factor in age Flacco is a top 5 QB.
  17. Rivers and Brady are too old for a future. mid 30's plus. we know we can win a superbowl with Flacco today and for the next 6years in a decent situation. Flacco has won the most road playoff games in NFL history.
  18. why are you listing older guys that have limited shelf-life and more wear on the body? Luck is not a better decision maker than Flacco. But Rodgers is a good one....I didn't know he was only 32 cause I remember him backing up Favre for so long I thought he was 35years old.
  19. Brady is 40...no future with him. you would get rid of Flacco for one good season from Brady?
  20. Dude....you do realize the Raiders have been a good team since week 8 of 2015, right?!?!?
  21. no it's not....people still wanted to give kyle boller a chance for a long time, lol. I was disappointed when he used to trip over his own feet dropping back from center many games! Kyle Bollers best game was 2007 in a loss to the patriots.
  22. 2014 we got cheated in the playoffs by the pats. they didn't give us time to make subs and had deflated footballs. We would have beaten the colts in the next round! 2013 we had to retool. 2014 we had a superbowl caliber squad. 2015 we had injuries. Thus far his job is safe.
  23. cam had a good offense for us....but his play selection/timing was bad. we kept the same plays once we fired him, lol!!!
  24. People act like a top 5 receiver of all time in Terrell Owens didn't have drop issues, lol. Perriman is a playmaker....not a possesion receiver.
  25. That is true. so we were in position to win in spite of trestman? lol. considering the redskins are questionable stopping the run you need to run and run to keep the defense from pinning their ears back so the lack of rushing was not acceptable. However, beyond questionable play calling players needed to make plays. if said players made plays we would have won.
