  1. The Cowboys were only asking for our 1st rounder and they also wanted our 3rd round pick to swap spots with us and we thought it was too much to do all that and snag Ramsey! I am still BAFFLED. We had 11 picks and losing one for Ramsey would have been worth it.

I'm just hoping we don't look back on this draft as Ozzie's biggest missed chance. Two missed moves that help make the Jags relevant. Keeping our secondary in an underwelming status, while elevating the Jags.

Kaufusi shares Ngata's number, his motor, and Tongan heritage. It's kinda cool that our top 3 draft pics all have Pacific Islander heritage.

I have a black Ngata jersey.
I will probably be buying another #92 jersey soon.
Love me some Pacific Island players ! ! !

  3. For some reason he could not keep his feet under him. I find it shocking a first rounder cannot get better after 4 years. Something no right. I blame some on coaching.Did they ever have a good secondary coach?

I have been thinking our secondary coaches have contributed to our biggest weakness for the last few seasons. When we let guys go and they seam to do better for other teams, that's a hint. I've also said, I don't like the idea of bend, don't break. Hopefully with new secondary coaching this season and Weddle calling plays, there is a big improvement all around.

  4. I love football. Can it be a dangerous sport ?
    At times, yes.
Life is a contact sport. None of us will get out of alive. How we choose  to live our lives, is our choice. I have two sons, 14 & 12, that have played football since they were 10 & 6 years old, respectively. My older son chose not to play until he was 10. Football has tought them many life lessons, they would not normally have learned by just going to school. In a day when mothers are afraid to let their kids play out on the streets, and with good reason, football is for my son's, an outlet for exercise, and has taught them how to become mentally tough. It has taught them how to listen to and respect their Coaches. How to be part of a team and do what's best for that team.
I have watched them grow from little boys into responsible young men in just a few years. Football has in a large part been one of the biggest defining factors in their maturation. We / they wouldn't have had it any other way.

  5. I would like to see the coaches getting more aggressive this season too.
Pulling out all the stops, is the only way to attack "every" season.!
Defense has been the identity of the Ravens from the beginning
and that's become our weak link. Whenever defense plays like it's trying not to lose, instead of playing like it's going to dominate, that's not enough. We have gone from having league high turnover ratios to almost getting none. That, I think has more to do with coaching than individual player skills.

  6. Hopeful for Perriman's full recovery and no sophomore slump !
Just kiddin, I think us fans are in for a very pleasant surprise after having two seasons of terrible numbers of injuries. Hopefully all our injured players come back strong. Going back to natural turf should help with that too !

  7. I don't know, it may just be me but does anybody else feel like the lack of rules is not the biggest problem with the NFL ?
When are they going to stop putting more and more rules on part time officials, that already seam to be struggling with the rules that are in place ? I feel like the NFL needs to address this more than anything else. Full time officials could be getting more shool in off season. Maybe a panel in NY to override terrible miss calls that have game  changing results.

  8. They are making the game so complicated and subjective that no one will be able to get calls correct. What happened to 'keep it simple stupid'? Every year a team experience a loss because of an interpretation of the rule by a ref. That's no reason to grow the rule book. Simple things like determining a catch or a fumble is complicated AND it should be simple. So are the Ravens suggesting more challenges? Really? Make the game even longer, Make the refs even more relevant. Soon you will need to send refs to a 2-year college. Unbelievable. Leave the game alone.

I think the league needs to make Refs full time employees.

The rules are too complicated for part timers. There should also be oversight by a panel in NY to override some of the ridiculous game changing, bad calls/non calls.
It's really starting to look like games can easily be swayed with all the subjective calls. Now they want to be able to manditorily throw players out of games for 2 subjective personal fouls.

The past 3 seasons have clearly showed us that Flacco is incapable of carrying this team all on his own. It is imperative that we have a impregnable defense and a whole lot more help on offense for this team to get back to the promised land. So, Ozzie and gang, make it happen. Give this offense weapons so we can be successful. A great O-line, RBs, TEs and WRs is what we really need right now. Otherwise I don't see us getting anywhere.

I'm pretty sure that no QB carries a team all on their own !
We would have probably won 5 more games last year with 1 more receiver and 1 ball hawking free safety.
