  1. I saw a post draft power ranking thar had the Ravens as the 22nd best team ! I can't wait to see our defense come out and crush 90% of the 21 teams they put ahead of us ! With a more dominant defense our offense will have more breathing room this year. It's about time Baltimore got back to it's roots and stopped setting the bar at "trying to win the close ones"..! It's time to dominate ! Winning by knocking the will out of teams ! Like in the old days. Ugly Ball . . !
  2. That being said, check out Pittsburgh's cushy early schedule. If they don't win 11 games this year I will be surprised. Just about any team they play that looks like a tough game, they get to play at home. They get us after we've traveled to London and back.
  3. Really ?
  4. They have now changed two NFL rules as a result of Justin Tucker and the Patriots ! 1. Made the goal posts 5' feet higher as a result of Tucks game winner over the Patriots. After which Bill Belichick grabbed an official by the arm. 2. Take away the ability of opposing team from leaping over the long snapper on the field goal attempt. Both of these rules were brought about as a result of Ravens Patriots games with Tucker kicking field goals.
  5. Hey Ozzie Bisciotti, If Joe's so damaged and Kirk Cousins looks so good to you, the Redskins are just down Rt 95 on the other side of the beltway. You're welcomed to jump ship...
  6. I will miss the Juice too. He was great on special teams. One of Joe's favorite dump offs too.
  7. Matt Prater ? Dude isn't even in the same league as Tuck ! Let me know when you can sing Ave Maria in Italian French Spanish or German
  8. I love Joe Flacco. He's been a great QB for Baltimore, for the most part. I just want to see him take the next step in his career and work on tightening up the little things that have been holding him from the truly elite status. I think with the right kind of play calling and better O-line work Joe could lead us to the promise land again ! Although Joe has to step up his total game to the next level to make this happen.
  9. do not forget about receivers as well we are a head coach OC DC away from playoffs Exactly
  10. Come on Joe... Elite QB's need to lead their team to regular Superbowls ! Not making depressing comercials about not being invited to watch one !
  11. How could you possibly hate on a legend like Brady smh. Years ago i used to not like the patriots a lot. Mainly because they were just TOO GOOD. But now, since Ray Lewis' retired, I have grown appreciation for Brady. Whether we like it or not, Brady is a legend, and we should be thankful to watch a legend like him play possibly his final season. Lol, really? Ok, I'll answer your question. It's simple as I have no, none, zilch respect for his smug, sniveling, whining, crying, cheating, lying personality, who thinks he's God's gift to the game while the media dangles from his jock. Could you tell us how you really feel about Tom Terrific ?
  12. I want the Squeelers to win it all ! Maybe this will drive Steve B. over the edge with our Coaching mediocrity ! Can we really afford another season of excuses?
  13. The one most positive impact that could be made on a team comes from the coaching staff ! Coaches affect everything. So when the Head Coach says we are good at coaching, we just need better players... He is throwing his players under the bus and playing the blame game. At the very least the O line coach should be gone. I guess Harbs is willing to bet that next season will be a complete turn around or he will be canned.
  14. As long as we have Vets that can get the job done, we have been slow to coach up many players. Then their final year on their rookie contracts come up and we can't afford to keep them. One more reason I think our coaches should be call out.
  15. I also think SSS would have given the Ravens another year, had they just fallen short and there was something being done to fix the problems. But with the coaches staying pat and being willing to put our crap season solely on the players heads, why would he want to come back to that mediocre mess. I can't say many players coming up for new contracts are going to want to stay in Baltimore either !
  16. Well I mean that's all great in theory, but its not like our offensive line was really that effective at run blocking for most of the season. If they were, then we wouldn't rank in the 20s in YPC, but we do. That's sort of the false narrative on these boards... that the solution is just to run the ball more. In actuality, its a combination of running the ball more and running the ball more effectively. Teams like Cleveland or Green Bay can complain about not running the ball enough, because they were quite good at it when they did. We were not. We were below average at it. At the end of the day, this offense works best when its offensive line is playing well. That's where the focus needs to be. That's on the other coach that's sub-par Casteal. The only year our line has blocked well since Jaun has been in charge is when Kubiak actually took over as OC.
  17. Everything on the table except switching out any of the real reason we didn't make the playoffs, the Coaches at the top level. 1.We were stacked on offense this year, yet couldn't run the ball at all ! (Juan Casteal) 2. Defense ranked at the top of the league and lost how many last minute games this year? Just like last year ! (Dean Pees) 3.We left too many points on the field through poor time management and bad coaching decisions. Not taking field goals, when we hsve the best kicker in the league. Twice losing games as a result ! (John Harbaugh ) On top of that, throwing specific players under the bus (Jernigan & Mosley) after the games, instead of taking any personal responsibility for the losses! What ever happened to The Team, The Team, The Team, Coach ? Now to save his buddies and his own job, it's time to start trimming the fat? I guess losing the fan base is on table too...
  18. "but the status quo wasn't CLOSE to being good enough this year, so lets keep the same..." Not really, We were INCHES away from being 10-6 and #3 seed in the AFC - INCHES (look back at the Pittsburgh and Washington games). We didn't get there, but we were pretty darn close. We were also close to losing a couple more games by a play or two. We need to look at getting back to dominate football ! Not bend but don't break, let's try not to lose by one play, football..!
  19. I'm pretty sure what Joe needs more than a Drill Sargent QB coach is a prescription for Ritalin ! This, I believe is the only thing that's going to give him Lazer focus. He looks like he's half asleep some games and always seams to play down to teams we should destroy. It was obvious to me as someone with ADD that during our Superbowl run, Joe really needs massive amounts of pressure on him to stimulate him enough to get him focused. That's why he has done well in the hurry up offense. I think using PA and rolling him out also is something we should do more of.
  20. Watched Joe's highlights from 2012 and about 40% of his throws were off his back foot! Pretty much the same as he was doing this year. My question is if MM was his QB coach and couldn't get Joe to have any better mechanics why would they premote him to OC ?
  21. Not so sure about that. I would go with the same plan but run everything through Rick. Give Gary a light weight consultation job for a year - overall game planning the offensive direction and long term progression plan for both Joe and the offensive side of the ball. Make sure if he comes in that he stays sitting with Ozzie for the first year and only works part time with mandated minimum 4 days per week off. Give the reigns to Rick and make sure he brings in the same staff Gary had here especially the line coach and TE coach. And for the love of god lock Rick and he Joe in a room before the season starts and get them on the same page about chunk plays instead of waiting until half way through the year when Joe gets so fed up that he has his argument with the OC that chunk plays are needed. Yes, he even did this with Gary and the difference was that Gary actually listened and that is when the offense really started taking off. Also please make sure we game plan really speedy two minute drills and for receivers to get beyond or at least to the sticks in 3rd downs. Please. Not so sure about that?? Do you have a direct line to someone in Kubs inner circle? This is crazy, a 2 year plan and a schedule for the guy. Why in the world would Gary agree to do that. This is a pipe dream. Its not like Gary has this secret formula that Rick doesn't know about. Getting all of the same positions coaches is pointless and probably not possible. Everything doesn't have to be exactly how it was when Gary was here. Even if we were able to get all of the guys that were here in 2012 it doesn't mean that we would be just as successful as we were then. Whoever the offensive coordinator is should be able to hire the guys that he wants to hire. Whether its Rick or someone else. And I am pretty sure about the fact that Kubiak is hanging up the whistle. While were at it we mine as well hire Marvin Lewis to be our DC and bring in all of his assistant coaches that were apart of the 2000 team. All good ideas! Maybe we could get Ed Reed for our secondary coach and Ray Lewis as our linebackers coach too !
  22. I kind of got the same impression. I'd bet Belicheat would find more uses for him.
