Ugly Ball

Our receivers are bad, the entire league and it's fans know that. But, you are spot on with our Qb play I watched a video of Joe's highlights from 2012 season. More than half of his throws came off his back foot ! Maybe because he is able to throw down field with little effort, Joe doesn't feel he needs to use good mechanics when throwing. He has looked no different up to this season. With maybe the exception of when Kubiak was here. Maybe If we get some good position coaches (QB & Receiver) things would be better for our receivers. We don't seem to get the ball to our younger guys either. A lot of other teams have their rookies out on the field in their first year, to succeed or not. When ours aren't getting balls thrown to them they are not going to get any better.

Now that's a damn shame ! We get a couple fast receivers and they give up on the long ball ! We get a couple very promising running backs and they give up on the run ! All the Dinking and dunking to get us to less than the 1st down marker, hasn't worked either ! Flacco is no Tom Brady ! I mean what's Joe in his 8th year and still throwing off his back foot ?

I feel bad for SSS. The guy worked his tail off to come back from blowing up his Achilles and played better than all the younger receivers on the team, again... I really wanted him to get a chance to play in the post season with this team. Looks like he will have to be happy with one day being inducted in to the HOF. I can't think of anyone on the team I would like to see get a chance at a Superbowl more than Smitty.

Not only did we miss the Win, we missed the playoffs again...! What we also missed was Ravens dominance ! We have been missing that for way too long ...

They should play their hearts out for one reason only... The names on the backs of their jerseys. Pride and the Ravens way. This would probably have been a good idea for the Giants, Jets, Skins or Raider games ! Now would be a good time to let some of the newer guys get a chance to see what their potential might be.

Interestingly enough the whole teams season is over..! They should all just go to Cincy and have a team dinner with the Bengals team for as much as this game matters to either team. TIME TO SHUT HER DOWN!

Sounds as if you described us being a 12-2 team at this point. We are a VERY MEDIOCRE team right now. Not today. NFL is week by week. Real fans know this. And we could easily be 12-2 with a couple different bounces. Go root for the Steelers would ya. Sick of our fans pessimism I choose to root for the Ravens. Missed about 10 games in Baltimore over the last 20 years driving 250 miles roundtrip. Usually go one or two road games a year and attended both Super Bowls. When we are good I say we are. When we are bad I say the same. When we are middle of the pack, which we are so far I simply tell the truth. The truth is that the Ravens had a bunch of key players returning from injuries and we were playing without 5 pro bowlers and our starting LT for most of our 4 game losing streak. Since the bye, this team is 5-2, with both losses coming to the #1 seeds. We were a middle of the pack team in the first half of the season. We are much better than that now. And yet, we almost gave up a late game lead to Philly last week for bad coaching decisions ! To win out we need to be smart in all 3 phases + coaching ! Let's go Ravens ! T Sizzle / D Vader / Grinch We need you in Ben's head today... GO ahead Steel Christmas from Pittsburgh !

This is probably why SSS is having a moment at practice ! This guy comes back from a blown up Achilles. One of the hardest injuries for a receiver to come back from, and that after having played for 16 seasons already ! Then to see, no sense of offensive urgency in the final minutes of the Pats game. He's watching his last chance of getting a ring slowly slip away meanwhile, no sense of urgency Joe, is blowing long passes... He has every right to be angry ! Get your act together Joe... You're making the big buck$, it's time to show us why they paid you !

Let's get it done boys ! I hope we move the pocket around a little bit on 3rd downs or make them pay for bringing the house with a screen pass or two. Time for Joe to stop they're staring down his wide receivers and get a little bit of pocket awareness.

My favorite is Haagen Dazs rum raisin softened enough to eat out of the container with some long Utz pretzel sticks !

I'll bet right about now, Coach Kubiak wishes he could have gotten Tucker to defect with him to the Donkeys, when he left!

Deliver the pain Boyle !

AJ has been the Raven's Kryptonite for the past few years ! With some ridiculous circus catches down to the last minutes of the 4th quarters, to win too many games ! But I feel relatively sure that Flacco and our under achieving offense will figure out a way to keep this game too close, just long enough for our Jimmy Smith less, below average secondary to give it away, also in the last seconds, to whatever random rookie receiver the Bengals happen to put in against us as AJ's backup ! I'm thinking the Raven's mediocrity is becoming a top down problem ! When the same kinds of shortcomings keep cropping up year after year with different players on the team, at some point you have to start looking at the bigger picture ! Coaching ....?

As in 2000, the P word should not be spoken by coaches or team until after week 16 ! I would go one step further and say take it off the table for our writing staff too. Yes that means you too John... Looking at our next game is about as monumental of a task as I can see this team handling.

How do you really feel Slowboater ? The truth is, Joe has never been "that guy" ! So for Ray to call him out on him being a quiet leader, is really just not fair. On the other hand, Every season Joe seams to regress from the previous season in some way. When he is still throwing off his back foot or just making, as he says "bone headed decisions" at this point in his career is a bit unsettling. Add to that, the picture of him sitting on the bench by himself, and it's hard not to think he could be doing more ! If there are so many players that "have Joes back", maybe they should sit with him on the bench and encourage him while the defense is on the field. After all this is a team sport. And Ray Lewis, in my opinion should stick with the pep talk speeches !

Can Dan Bailey sing opera in 5 languages? Enough said....

What will be more awesome is SSS getting his three against the Cowgirls to help win the game, after hearing they think he's old and declining !

Steve Smith should have been a Raven from the jump ! I'm so impressed with his work ethic, drive and emotional way of playing. We need more Ravens like him. Stay healthy for the stretch Smitty ! It could get very interesting if the offense starts clicking.

I think Waller's going to be a baller ! Last year at open practice D.W. told my son he liked his top hat, during the autograph session after practice. So my son wanted to send a Top Hat for Darren to celebrate his first NFL touchdown .

How do you draft high character, squeaky clean guys and then expect them to have killer instinct? You want killer instinct? Excuse the pun, you have to get Ray Lewis (Alpha Male Dog) types. And Harbaugh, has to let men be men..!

Joe, you have looked like you need to be on Meds for depression for the last couple of years. Wake up Joe, your prime years are slipping through your fingers !

I agree totally! Harbaugh has a very hard time with anyone that's not a high character guy. Puts them in his doghouse at the teams expense. McKinney 2012, comes to mind. They got rid of Monroe a year too early, leaving a rookie to start at the hardest O-line position, eating a couple million in salary cap, mostly because Monroe was talking too much about legalizing pot for players! You can see right through Harbs' lies, when his ego gets hurt too. Not taking responsibility for his own mistakes, then calling out players for spacific plays, will be the beginning of the end ! When you start losing the respect of high character guys, you don't have much left ...!
