  1. The problem is the coaches don't give these guys a chance to succeed till its too late. And then they're branded busts and either traded or let go. Very undisciplined way of of coaching and getting the most out of high picks. Harbaugh should be held personally responsible for these guys not becoming starters. He was the one that wanted those guys and he was the one that couldn't coach up those guys and get them ready to play.

Coaches ability to teach is a big reason and use the talent right is another slow player development. Back in the day Ravens had leaders that help out and related better with the players. Who's there now besides Suggs? Cracks me up how people always defend everything that Ozzie and John do and say. John's going to have to coach his butt off to get to 9 wins.

terrence cody ''mixed results''...sure if you say so baltimoreravens.com :P ...i wanted to strangle ozzie for that atrocious pick. 2010 draft was an abomination.

Decosta is delusional. Wagner I liked and was a good pick. But he is not better than Lane Johnson. And Eric Fisher plays left tackle. Decosta must feel pressure if he is always trying to deceive with illusions his draft success.

Saying that he has a 64% success in round2. A player being a starter is not indicative of a successful pick. It means that player is your best option for that position. It doesn't indicate you have a standout player. Calling Cody a somewhat success shows his delusional thinking. Jernigan wasn't a successful pick if you shipped him off to move up in round3.  Then there is Max Williams and Correa that are busts thus far.  I know everybody is going to say Correa is only going into year2. If you think he shows NFL skills I don't know what to say. He is totally awful.

Just think Deco sta is Ozzie replacement. He needs to stop looking in the past if he wants to keep a job.

Ray Lewis lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl triumph, Joe Flacco was later handed the reigns.

LMAO!  Ray Ray was a shell of his former self and on his "last ride". To be frank that's what he did, came along for the ride.

Ray and Ed were so bad that the Ravens made the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years since they left. Those goal line stance was terrible in 2012. Man, I glade their gone. Sarcasm at it finest.

  4. Do you know that players have to file taxes in every state they play? Higher taxes on players like Oakland and soon Baltimore are another reason teams move. Ever wonder why Texas and Florida have the most teams? No state tax. Thats another reason Jacksonville and Carolina got the expansion teams and not Baltimore. I wonder do the stadium people get 15.00 an hour, sick leave, and vacation pay for working 6 months?

I think most of us still remember the sight of the mayflowers pulling out on the sad night. Definitely a dagger to the heart.

I remember Irsay telling then Mayor Schaefer that he'd never leave so what did he do he left in the middle of the night in the the snow. I hated him ever since and wish the Colts nothing but the worse of times.

Yea, Irsay was a piece of work but remember those loons in Baltimore City were going to seize the team that Monday. Those facts are always left out. People got what they deserve voting them in.

None of the above. Barnett is the only one I would take at 16. The only other LBer I would consider in the first would be Rueben Foster but I doubt he gets to us. I think here's a list of players I wouldn't mind taking in the first.
    CBs: Lattimore, Humphrey (Humphrey possible)
Safety: Jamal Adams or Malik Hooker (both doubtful)
RBs: Fournette, Cook or McCafferty ( I think we may have a chance at Cook or McCafferty)
WRs: Any of the top 3 - Williams, Davis or Ross (reluctantly)
    OT: Cam Robinson or Ramszcysk.
I believe we'll surprise everybody by taking somebody we haven't thought about in the first that'll shock us first, intrigue us next and make us giddy with joy last.

    Great post.

you listed 9 guys that are absolutely top 10 talents and I'd add 3 more guys to the list as home runs if we can land one.

    ILB Foster

    CB Lattimore, Humphfries

    S Adams, Hooker

    RB Lattimore

    WR Williams, Davis

    OT Ramszcysk

il also add Garrett, Solomon Thomas, and Allen who are probably no brainers at this point (just to make the list 12 players) that are worth taking regardless of what we have on our roster. Let's call these guys (1A)

Robinson, Ross, Cook, and Barnett are good players to pick at 16 but each one has a little dent on his full package. Let's call these guys (1B) I would start rooting for the guy day one but my greed wants (1A)

the way I look at it is that we need 4 guys outside of 1A to get drafted in the top 15 in order for us to land a 1A guy. Someone like Quincy Wilson CB Fla or Howard TE Alabama. Maybe a QB or two in the top 15 would be nice. Any of the 12 listed (1A) would feel like CJ Mosley all over again and I'd celebrate winning the draft early.

Question When 16 comes around and by some miracle there still there who do you pick in which order? I would go Hooker or Thomas.
    ILB Foster

    CB Lattimore, Humphfries

    S Adams, Hooker

    RB Lattimore

    WR Williams, Davis

  7. As for Aiken and Juszczyk: time will tell if they were right or wrong. What I cannot help noticing however, is that while I cannot really remember defensive players leaving Baltimore then thropwing back darts, there were 3 offensive guys (these two plus KO last season) who don't really speak really fondly of the Baltimore offense... That less and less seems a coincidence...

I've long said, and I still think Harbaugh simply doesn't understand the NFL offense, and that's why he keeps appointing the wrong guys to command our O (with the sole exception of Kubiak), but knows too little to overrule their mistakes in offensive strategy, game planning and play calling. I fiormly believe that as long as Harbaugh is our HC, the only way we can have a good offense is by chance - because nobody who is responsible for it is good enough. I believe all the offensive success we've had since 2008 was not because of our coaching stuff, but in spite of it - out of the virtue of the players.

And that's why I think that no matter who we draft and acquire in free agency, we don't really have any real reason to hope for better a season that what we had - because the by far biggest cause of our offensive impotence: the incapable HC - has not been removed from the system. And until that happens, you can count on players leaving Baltimore to throw back shade like this...

That"s two statement you made that I agreed with .....Scary. The OT over WR was the other.

I said for four years while Pitta was out that we had a great talent in Juszczyk and we totally underutilized him. Aiken didn't make it on several teams and in his entire career he had one season where he had almost 1000 yard season and the best he can ever hope for is a 3rd or 4th receiver. Juszxzyk however, was another Danny Woodhead but better. He can run as well, is a better pass receiver, and he can also block when necessary which Woodhead can not do.

I am not a person to call for the coaches head, but the decisions to hire the OC's we have has been horrible except for the one where Ozzie told John he was hiring Kubiak and that was the best coach that Harbaugh ever hired but Harbaugh never hired him. I am seeing this team turn into a dumpster fire and if we don't have a playoff season this year, it is time to move on from Harbaugh as he has lost complete focus, or never had it, on what was important.

Source where Ozzie told John to hire Kubiak?

Pretty sure that didn't actually happen. Most likely a fan-generated myth.

The closest article I found. "The last tweet from Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston is telling, considering that Jim Hostler was leading the way for the job it seemed. That would insinuate that Harbaugh wanted Hostler and that Ozzie Newsome and Steve Bisciotti were thinking otherwise."
