Just think if the Ravens would have hit on one of these three that's already on the team the Ravens could have the opportunity to be picking a top CB in this draft.
You know Ravens are not going to pick a CB in the first round when they have all these studs already on the team. Arrington, Kyle Canady, Maurice Daniel, Robertson Smith, Jimmy Wright, Shareece Young, Tavon Foster, Otha
I'm not impressed with Derek Barnett. He reminds me of those guys that are great in college but start to decline fast for the NFL. Takkarist McKinley is quicker. "The team will miss out on a top-ranked corner-back in the draft once again" Are they giving up on Bronson Kaufusi?
Better than that $100 million CHOKE artist NFL MVP Matt Ryan who has NEVER won a clutch game EVER including college.....I'll spend $20 million more for a guy that wins over a guy that never wins. And the going rate for a starting QB is $20 million per (about to be $25-30 million per year once Stafford, Carr, Ryan, Mariota sign their new contracts).
One of the reason Atlanta lost was because the team could not afford a better defense.Atlanta ranked 25th while New England ranked 8th. Again, Defense wins championships. Good thing Ravens ranked 7th.
Most of these bright and shinny stats were before he got paid. I bet most people on here would like to continue to get paid for things they done 4 years ago.
Heck even Cleveland "contends" for a championship by just being in the NFL. Lets start by doing better than 8-8 and not having a right footed kicker pretend he kicks left.
I think I ll put Cook in the list and take Malik Hooker off the list. My only issue with him is that he only has one year as starter under his belt. That could be a bit gambling. However if none of those guys in your list are there, I would love us to move back and get more 2nd/3rd/4th picks. There is a lot of depth in this year draft. I also won't mind trading some of our TEs for more picks.
I watch Hookers highlights then and watch Elam highlights. Hooker has the knack and the closing speed besides he can stay on his feet. He is going to be fun to watch no matter what team he is on.
Those 1st and 2nd round 2013 draft picks are coming back and biting this team in the butt now. Instead of moving forward they have to retreat a fix areas they should not have had to. The only way this team gets back into contention with the big boys is if the scouts find 7 or 8 really good guys like Zack Orr not in the draft.
I wonder if Ozzie or any of his scouts ever sat down and talked to Elam. All you have to do is look into his eyes. There is a reason why they call the eyes the "window of the soul".
"considering he’s coming off a down season. " Every receiver on the Ravens is coming off a down year . Of the 40 players listed in NFL receiver stats only Mike Wallace was on the list at 21. There are 7 teams listed that need a wide receiver. "HE GONE". Whats funny is Joe decided to throw to his receivers in the off season but he will only have two with experience, maybe.
This Ravens team today needs a ton of work. Really, the only position that needs no attention is the kicker. The ESPN stats show there are three Ravens in the top 20 in all the categories. Zack Orr is now gone the the other two are kickers. Raven fans are starving for a any type of Super Star player beside someone kicking the ball.
Hooker just had surgery but he is still my pick for safety. A year or two with Weddal he will be great. When you watch Elam highlights they mostly show him tackling but Hooker looks like young Ed Reed flying around.
Other teams need running back, QB and linebackers more than CB. Ravens will have their pick. They should not be able to screw this up in the first round.
