  1. There was a rather famous quarterback who was considered to be rather emotionless (other than periodic anger over poorly executed plays), and did his job quite well. Although not blessed as a great physical specimen, his coolness under fire, and uncanny ability to read defenses endears him to football fans forever. He is especially beloved by Baltimore fans, and his statue is in the entrance to the stadium. To those of you too young to have actually seen him play, I am sorry. Whenever he entered the field, there was pandamonium by the fans, and fear by the opposing team. Everybody knew SOMETHING was going to happen, either good, or bad. Joe Flacco will never have this respect, but his coolness is comparable.
  2. We must bear in mind that the purpose of pre-season games is to assess strengths and weakness of current and potential players, and the final roster. The score is really meaningless. What do you think of the "Matt moments"?
