This isn't true from what I can see.  When I put my cursor over the timestamp hyperlink for regz post, it says 02/23/2017 06:55 PM.  Mine says the same thing because I obviously posted right after him.  In fact, the last post before the final five was my post on the 4th page with the timestamp 02/23/2017 06:54 PM for 4.5 stars.  regz quoted another poster but his quote was invalid due to that not being the highest bid.  He corrected it but his corrected post came in at the aforementioned time, therefore meaning that his post was also past the final five minutes since it was at 06:55 PM.  

All pretty messy with the late final five call but that's what I thought happened too.

I believe you're right about that one, and the rule about losing half the FA's cap hit if you cut them is mainly to prevent people from placing outrageous bids only to cut the player and waste everyone's time.

Probably easier to call him Poz. If the Jags forum's profanity filter is anything like this one that could at least partly explain why they call him that.
