NICE hit on Julius Thomas though.
Stupid penalty from Seattle. I mean, of ALL pointless fouls you could pick up..... ![]()
Yeah, our Super Bowl was better last year.
Early nerves is one thing, but we were far more settled at this point.
No-one's really having a game to remember so far.
If anyone wants to have a look at the Broncos forum, here's their Super Bowl thread
Go for it here I reckon. Back them up if you fail.
Clutch throw on third down though. Good stuff.
TERRIBLE overthrow. Wilson needs to settle those nerves ASAP, those passes won't get easier.
Percy Harvin looking good. What I like about that play is how it puts the Broncos defence on notice.
Weird question here.
We see these Super Bowl patches on the jerseys, but what happens after the Super Bowl? Do they come off and the jerseys are reused, do they auction these special jerseys, what happens?
Pretty sure they're special jerseys that just go to the players after teh game.
Great start, long may it continue. ![]()
The bookies just got rich on the first scoring play, haha.
SAFETY! ![]()
Let's see what the flag is for.
Alright, gut says the Broncos win although I feel like the Hawks are the better team.
Hoping for a Seattle win though. Nothing would please me more today.
Joe Namath flinching.
Let's take forever to sing the National Anthem, good job whoever you are.
I agree, people should do it simply imo. It's the anthem, not your next big single. The chick who did it in Seattle two weeks ago was great until the last two lines.
Did that anthem singer miss a line or was that just me?
ill drink to the last paragraph.... heavily.
And here's a toast to the next one we lift..... lets make it less than 12 years this time, fellas!
I think we will. Ozzie and Steve seem to have a good team-building plan this time around. I might bust out my SB Champs "executive" glass today.
Go Hawks!
You could make a drinking game out of this pre-game coverage. Every time someone calls the Broncos a team of destiny, or uses a cliche similar to the "unstoppable force hitting an immovable object".
The tenure of the Ravens being the reigning champions is coming to an end. At least it was fun while it lasted. ![]()
Trey Wingo: "As Trent Dilfer will tell you, there's no defence for a perfect throw."
What would Trent know about a perfect throw? O_o
At least with the American broadcast I'd say there's more variety going on.
Lotta orange in the stands.... reminds me of 2000 and the whole audience was made up of giants fans
I hope a similar defensive masterclass gets put on. Wasn't Kerry Collins really hyped-up too? I know Peyton and his receivers are better and all, but.
One good thing about this lengthy build-up. This pretty good Sportscenter ad.
That game is a thing of beauty. That's about as close to a perfect defensive game as you can ever get, and it happened in a super bowl no less.
Yeah, and Joe put on a similar masterclass last year.
I forgot how early Jim Harbaugh's ballistics started. ![]()
I watched the dvd of the ravens 2000 super bowl win this morning just so I could watch john fox lose twice in one day
Wish I thought of that. I have the 2000 one on hard drive and it's one of my favourite things in the world atm.

Seattle defence makes a statement early, and they managed to get Peyton off the spot on that third down. If they keep this up, I love Seattle's chances.
