  1. Wish I thought of that. I have the 2000 one on hard drive and it's one of my favourite things in the world atm.
  2. Forget that show, I'm watching highlights of our Superb Owl last year.
  3. Exactly this. They're not a team of destiny any more than the Miami Heat are. They just managed to stuff a roster for a couple of years. They're a good side and all, but when Manning goes they'll be up to [you know what] again for quite a while.
  4. Apparently the Hawks run a similar scheme to the Jags - who managed to force one of Manning's worst games of the year. The difference is that the Hawks actually have talent on defence. If the legion can hit (and rattle) both Thomases early and often, that'll cut back what Manning has to work with. I know there's still Welker and Erica Decker, but I don't think they can win a game on their own.
  5. But I do reserve the right to complain about how the Broncos have lucked into warm weather for three straight matches.
  6. If he got cut (ie, was a cap casualty), my understanding is that the Patriots would live with the guaranteed money/signing bonus on his contract, while he'd have to negotiate a new one with any other team he chose to sign with. Although I do realise you basically need a PHD in accounting and an insane retentive memory to understand the cap, much less master it, so I could well be wrong. Tbh, I wouldn't be a fan of the signing. I think he'd be too expensive for what he'd offer.
  7. Ravensfan23 addressed that a couple of pages back. Rick Dennison's probably going to be the next man up when Kubiak gets a HC gig again.
  8. It means we get to run go routes at different distances from the o-line. I'm excited about the possibilities already.
  9. Dear lord, here we go again.
  10. Jordan Matthews and Allen Robinson are my favourites now. I think they'll fit Kubiak's short game really well.
  11. It'll be on the site later today, like how that State of the Ravens video went up.
  12. See if we can get Clowney while we're at it.
  13. Well, so did Obama. (though tbf changing a political landscape in just a little bit harder than changing an offensive unit )
  14. Same here. I set my alarm to see if the OC had been announced and I was kinda surprised to see it was Kubiak. Won't complain though.
  15. Casual highlights package for the press conference.
  16. Well in to the guy who asked about his relationship with Jacoby.
  17. "Offence starts with Joe"? Can't argue with that.
  18. Kubiak should be a nice fit with Castillo, and Ray Rice will be pleased by this development. Wonder who our ideal WR2 in this draft pool will be now.
  19. I wonder what they'd do about play calls if Dennison became OC. Might suggest a shift towards giving Joe even more control of the offence than we're expecting.
  20. That's not a bad point. I know John Elway held off his retirement announcement to let the community process the Columbine shooting, so an FO holding off an announcement for a day or two like that wouldn't be a unique decision.
  21. Which is exactly why I think the whole "will Castillo stick around at the OC's behest" argument is completely academic. I think we already have an idea of how to rebuild the OL and I think the interview process will factor in how the prospective OC meshes with that, and their own ideas. Fwiw, and I could be wrong here, it seems Jokerraven's thinking of the State of the Ravens press conference a few weeks back. Like BmoreBird22 said, we'll see what happens when it happens and anything else is just speculation.
  22. Saw it on NFL Live a few days ago. I agree it's weird he didn't put it on Twitter, but he declared it on TV so you'd still back him.
  23. I'd say that would be up there with the melt we had after the Broncos game in week one.
  24. Exactly. When the team first announced him as a candidate there was talk of him only being a token look at the internal staff (our own Rooney Rule anyone? ), and if that's indeed the case then it shouldn't be a surprise that he was announced as a shortlisted guy. Then again, this second round of interviews is interesting. Schefter reported that we interviewed Kubiak, but the FO doesn't seem interested for some reason. I wonder what he showed that made him seem like a bad fit - possibly a high chance of getting promoted in a couple of years.
