If we can sign "Q" for around the same price the Lions did last season he would likely contribute "Only" 60 catches, move the chains, and provide a tough winning attitude.

Sounds like a weaker version of Dennis Pitta, who we just asked to take a paycut.

    I rest my case.

"Q" a weaker version of Pitta?? You are trying to be humorous... right?

No, they're the same player at this point. Like literally I don't see what one brings that the other doesn't.

Red Zone Presence(8 TD's last season). Makes contested catches. Great physical blocker. That would be Boldin NOT Pitta.

Snow storms mess with your mind from time to time I guess. "Q" would be a great signing at the right price.

2 million and a slot receiver. Obviously a different type of player. Low money for a PROVEN WINNER.

Yeah, can't wait for Chris Moore to light it up with his contribution of 11 catches. I rest my case.

  5. Okay the 2 most obvious candidates are gone. Here's what I suspect is going to happen over the next 24-48 hours. I think the Ravens are negotiating to rework the contracts for both Wallace and Dumervil right now. If it works out they'll sign extensions and create ample cap for this year. Wallace stays regardless but
Doom can be released if the negotiations doesn't work. I personally don't think any of our free agents save Guy is going to stick around. Williams, Wagner and Juice are all gone in a couple of days for better payday situations. After clearing ample cap space we sign a tackle, corner and WR from the free agent class from now until training camp. No splash signings for the Ravens. We plug all the holes from losses by the time the draft rolls in. We'll draft the BPA in the draft beginning with CB/OLB and/or WR/RB. All will be well for 2017.

Sounds like another ride to 8-8. Road wins in Cleveland and in London against the Jags(maybe) and hopefully we can win 5 or 6 at home. Just an opinion from a Fan who drives 250 miles roundtrip for the home games and goes to one or two on the road every season.

Torrey Smith was just released. What do you guys think about signing him and releasing Wallace. By the sounds of it we could get Smith for half the cost of Wallace and then we can use that extra cap room for other needs. Maybe use those extra millions or get Garcon or Marshall. Torrey has the same skill set at Wallace so i would not be apposed to it.

He was released because he is a one dimensional player. If we could pick him up for 3 mill maybe I'd think about it. Maybe. I'd rather we pick up Boldin on a one year deal. A WINNER with ATTITUDE, and almost forgot he would catch 65 balls for 7 or 8 TD's.

LOL, he wasn't even putting up those numbers in Baltimore 5-7 years ago when he was the #1 WR.

    It definitely ain't happening now.

My bad. He's "only" averaged 71 catches over the last 7 seasons and 6 TD's. I'd say not bad if you can get him on a one year deal like the Lions did last year 2 mill got them "only" 67 catches and 8 TD's. Thanks for pointing out his "lack" of production.

  8. You can't scheme around a bad QB!!! You got that right!!! "old 3 and out Flacco" is just BAD. Yes we do need 2 CB's and 2 LB's real bad. Ozzie just has to trade picks, give away the 5-7 rounders to move up and get these 4 defensive players. Then add 2 offensive linemen and a center.
Lets rebuild the defense because no one in the Ravens Org. wants to admit "old 3 and out Flacco" is finished. So the offense will just die a little more each game, let it die, rebuild slowly. But by rebuilding the defense we can get better faster when we do get a NEW QB. Remenber "Trent Dilfer" just did enough to help our Defense win a Super Bowl.

5th 6th and 7th round picks are basically worthless when trying to trade up. We are mediocre because we've whiffed on the majority of the #2 and #3 picks. Curious, how did you feel about Flacco when the confetti was dropping from the ceiling in New Orleans?

There are at least 26 players (no QB's) in the draft that i would be happy with in round one. So we can trade back 10 positions, still get a top talent, plus pick up another second round pick

I think you may be on to something. There are players with first round grades in the top 50; an unusually solid draft particularly on defense. If the Ravens can get 3 picks in the first 50, that might be worth considering.
I just don't think we can afford the time to draft a "developmental" guy too high at edge, OL, or CB/FS. We just don't have the depth there.

Let's stay put with our Draft position picks. Maybe this year we will ACTUALLY draft players at #2 and #3 that can do more than be a fringe Special Teams player. Quick question. If Mel Kiper keeps giving the Ravens an A, A+, or A- in the Draft every year we are we so mediocre?

  10. How about we package our #2 and the comp pick or #3 plus the comp pick for Brandin Cooks. Considering we never get anything of value at #2 anyway. Cooks would be a significant upgrade over any WR we have on the roster now. Just a thought. Maybe OZ can get the Saints to throw in 2 #5 picks and 2 #6 picks. We know he loves stockpiling those 5th and 6th round picks. Heck, last year we were even able to steal Keenan Reynolds in the 6th round. (Sarcasm)

  11. Joe's 2012 Season had a lot to do with Ray Lewis coaching the team up, he would not let players get away with less than 100% effort, since then ,, well John Harbaugh and his cronies have sucked the life out of this team , I am Hoping G Romans can light a fire, god knows Marty Wig is plain AWFUL, cant wait for E Decosta to take over Football operations ,...

how come Ray didn't "coach the team up" in 2007 when Billick got canned?

Moore was great on STs but man he dropped a ton of easy catches. As far as that goes, him and Perriman are in the same boat.

With Perriman though, he needs to be fed next year. 3-4 targets is not enough at all. That is basically one chance per quarter. When he has a drop, target him again and let him redeem himself for confidence. He just lacks concentration and route running. He improves on those and he starts getting 8-10 looks per game. He will torch defenses. Sky could be the limit with him.

Moore didn't drop a ton of anything he wasn't on the field enough so this year he will be like a rookie playing thanks harbaugh

Players that are "roster fillers" usually don't get on the field enough.
