1. Corey Davis- WR- Western Michigan
2. Takkarist McKinley-OLB- UCLA
3. Roderick Johnson -T FSU
3. Cam Sutton- CB- Tenn
or Jalen Myrick- CB- Minn (I like Myrick better)
4. Zach Banner- G./ T- USC
5. Ben Gedeon-ILB- MIch
6. Noah Brown- WR- Ohio State
Corey Davis with our #1 pick. We need a game changer. He's it.
They have at least 2 gaping holes on the O line with no quality starting caliber replacements. You have at least 5 adequate to above average receivers/hybrids already on the roster. Wallace, Perriman, Moore, Campanaro, Waller, Woodhead. The immediate need is O line or DB. If they draft another WR thinking this is the answer to their offensive ineptness, I would not expect any improvement in the record this year.
If they do not grab at least 1 RT early, Flacco is going to be on his back or throwing a lot of incompletions to the wasted first round picks (assuming they take a WR) all year again. I am prepared to be underwhelmed by their selection in the first round. Guessing they will do something bizarre like draft a safety or RB, when there is absolutely no need.
5 adequate to above average WR's? We have ONE legitimate WR on the roster in Mike Wallace. All the rest have proven to be "Roster Fillers" at best.
"If"-If- Browns would part with 12 & 64 for Joe Flacco we should pull the trigger. Sign Kapernick and fix offense&defense through 9 draft picks, 6 WR,LB,WR,CB all before 77th pick. Even Cutler could be stop gap for a year or two.
Not happening. Kapernick is yesterdays news and Cutler has proven he is worthless.
We have ONE legitimate WR on the roster in Wallace who is 30. Yes, we do need more weapons.
Meet the Ravens 6th Round Pick: WR Deangelo Yancy (3 separate meetings with the Ravens)
Would be a nice pick up but we NEED Corey Davis too.
In a pass happy league we need a game changing WR. We have one legitimate WR on the roster now with Mike Wallace.
I hope the BPA is Corey Davis. We need a game changer on offense. Obviously our previous attempt at a #1 WR turned into a #3 receiver.
Unless we can win more then two road games I see 8-8 all over again.
Williams or Davis. Can't keep having Tuck kick FG's all the time.
First, Flacco and Wallace are wrong not thinking they don't need more weapons. Second thought....if Mel Kiper always gives the Ravens A and A+ Draft grades how did we become so mediocre?
The schedule is released tonight. Although trying to guess an NFL schedule makes about as much sense as trying to correctly guess all the draft picks correctly - no chance that it - it is at least fun... I've made three schedule scenarios: a "dream schedule" in which everything goes our way (realistically, of course...); a "nightmare" version, where nothing goes our was (once again, realistically), and a third one I called "realistic" - which is neither particularly favourable, nor particularly unfavourable for us.
First, the "dream" schedule:
The dream version has us open and close the regular season in the Bank; it has no run-ons of home or road games: no three-game runs of either; it gives us home MNF, SNF and TNF games; it grants our requests not to have our bye after the London game; it sends us in Green Bay in the front side of the autumn, when it's not a frozen tundra there yet; it has the TNF game before the London game, bringing us 3 more days to get acclimated to the London scene and time zone; it gives us an easy home game (v MIA) after the London trip; it gets rid of the "Week 17 @ CIN" routine that's older now than Tom Brady, and sees usd close out the season v the Browns; it brings us to Cincinatti in Week #2 when the Bengals are hopefully not gelling so greatly, improving our chances of finally winning one there; the distribution of easier and harder games is quite even.
Now, the "nightmare" version:
The "nightmare" version is the one we get after the scheduling guy discovers his wife has cheated on him with a Ravens-fan. It has us open and close the season out on the road. We open at Heinz Field - nuff said; we get a SNF game before the London week, giving us 3 and ahalf days less tiome to prepare than the "dream" version; we are not granted the later bye, it "stays" at Week #4; we have a series of home-game and road-game runs; we close out the regular season with two road games: in Green Bay... IN DECEMBER!!!, and - you would never guess - in Cincinatti...; Only our SNF game is a home game, our TNF and MNF outings are on the road, the MNF game being the Week#16 clash in the ice field of the Lambeau; most of our easier games come in the first half, with most of our heavy weight opponents (PIT, both CIN games, OAK, GB, MIN, IND) coming in the back stretch; the OAK trip is a TNF game, giving us minimal time to shake the jet lag off; our SNF game is v the Lions - not an especially classic one...
As for the final, "realistic" version - I'll get back to it in another comment, as apperntly I'm only allowed to upload two images worth of data in one comment.
Like the work you put into this Bio. I think the only thing that we might be able to count on is that we will get the first two games at home based on the O's schedule as they are on the road 9-10 and 9-17.Titans and Packers looking like great road games to go to.
"IF POSSIBLE" can Ozzie trade Flacco, our 16th pick for Brown's #1! picks, then sign Kapernick or even Cutler as stopgap till next year's QB rich draft? #1 PASS RUSHER,CB at 33?
OMG! STOP IT.
I was in Vegas last week and saw the odds at 43 to1 for the SuperBowl. Yes, I put $300 on them as I feel it could be a sure bet. We are close, now lets seal the deal!
43-1 odds tells me the Vegas bookmakers are feeling 7-9 for the Ravens.
Ozzie cant afford to miss on an impact player early. Trading back for picks sounds nice but the return for doing so hasn't panned out often.
Agree. Stay at #16.
Even if there is a trade offer on the table which is VERY favourable for us?
What do you have in mind Bio? It would REALLY have to be in our favor. With the Draft being so deep would a team be willing to make an unfavorable trade.? Put on your "OZ Hat" and lets me know what you're thinking. Would be interested to see some scenarios. Thank you.

Do you like Matt Judon? Guess how we got him.
I'll wait to see if Judon becomes an "Impact Player" or a "JAG" (Just Another Guy)

If Corey Davis is still on the board take him.
Would Browns trade their 1st&12th picks to Ravens for our 16th&Joe Flacco? Ravens could use Joe's cap space to sign Kapernick or even Cutler as stopgap till even next year's draft to get a QB or us picking one this year in rd 2.
Stop it. Unless you want to go 3-13 with Cutler or Kapernick.
We have to start taking care of business on the road. Two or three road wins usually gets you to 7-9 or 8-8. We have some pretty tough road games this year. Packers, Vikings, Raiders, Titans, in London against the Jags, along with the division games. Good teams find a way to win five or more, mediocre teams find a way to lose them. Comments/thoughts on number of road wins.
"Other teams catching up"?.....Well its all about perspective. You can view it from the Eisenberg angle, and I'll view it from the CQ1 angle- or the ROFO angle (kudos from a member that said I should go root on a Royal Farm related team......that's a classic; for now I'll root on their chicken :)
Quite frankly, since Flacco's emergence into the league, the entire team chemistry has since quickly eroded. Until we can figure out all of the pieces- and, or weapons that are needed to seemingly nurture- or as I tend to see it, pacify him, from the fans point of view. As long as Joe continues to constantly check down, stare down and or stay in the pocket to long- other teams will continue to catch up. I cant wait to hear what the purple-fluff, excuses are going to be this year. Off to Rofo :)
Just curious. How did you feel about Joe when Lee Evans couldn't hang onto the ball in the endzone in the AFC Title Game against the Pats in 2011, when he lead them to great wins in the playoffs and the Ravens captured the ultimate prize, when the D could not hang onto a 14 point lead against the Pats in the playoffs, or when the D couldn't hang on vs the Steelers last year. Wow. That's what I call erosion. You must have loved Chris Redman, Elvis Grbak, and Kyle Boller.
I thought all the talk was for the Ravens to get younger and faster? Those two trains have left the station.
Boldin last season 67 receptions, 8 TD's. Great Red Zone presence and blocker. If we can get him at the same money the Lions got him for last season I'll take the "Q" Train any day. Can never have enough WINNERS on your Team.
Decosta is delusional. Wagner I liked and was a good pick. But he is not better than Lane Johnson. And Eric Fisher plays left tackle. Decosta must feel pressure if he is always trying to deceive with illusions his draft success.
Saying that he has a 64% success in round2. A player being a starter is not indicative of a successful pick. It means that player is your best option for that position. It doesn't indicate you have a standout player. Calling Cody a somewhat success shows his delusional thinking. Jernigan wasn't a successful pick if you shipped him off to move up in round3. Then there is Max Williams and Correa that are busts thus far. I know everybody is going to say Correa is only going into year2. If you think he shows NFL skills I don't know what to say. He is totally awful.
Usually TE's take a year or two to actually contribute in the NFL unless they are a top 15 pick like Howard will be. He was a little small to be playing in our division and I am still holding out hope that he will be a valuable player for us. Correa I knew wouldn't make it at OLB but I do believe he will step up and start next to CJ this year. He landed in Harbs dog house after his fight with Pitta but I think he will get another chance to prove himself and in the limited amount of action he did play he wasn't that bad at all. Nobody knew Orr was going to have a breakout season and that's part of the reason why we didn't have to play him and trying him out at different positions.
I hope Correa can step up. The limited amount of action was VERY limited. Other then being next to invisible on Special Teams, I don't think he was on the field for more then a handful of plays.
hope we don't get mangold and we will live to regret not getting anything for TJ he was worth more than 25 spots in the 3rd so don't say we got a 3rd rounder for him because we didn't we took another loss just like zuttah
Jernigan 16 solo tackles 15 assisted tackles. Pierce 19 solo tackles 16 assisted tackles. Let another team over pay TJ in the FA Market.
So you're only evaluating them based on tackles? What about sacks? Are they not important?
5 for Jernigan 2 for Pierce. "1" sack for Jernigan in the final eight games. Again, let another team over pay him. You need anything else on that?

Why bother reply to people like that.... they clearly don't get it
Good point. Just trying to educate some Fans(?).
