To late to start whining about not getting a WR in the Draft. Bottom line is that we better come up with somebody considering we have ONE legitimate WR on the roster in Mike Wallace.
In order to make the postseason the Ravens have to dominate on defense. A make shift Oline, an average QB, and one quality WR will likely spell and brutal year for the offense.
Maybe Tucker kicks 5 FG's every game and with a solid D we can pull off a number of 15-14 and 15-10 wins. (sarcasm....to a certain extent)
I know there's been lots of talk about Boldin returning. I want to hear opinions on Victor Cruz coming in on a cheap contract with incentives to make more. He's only 30 years old.
I'd rather have Boldin for one year. Cruz has not been the same since he went down with an injury. Feels like "Q" is younger at 36 then Cruz is at 30. jmo.
Bring Q back. He has HEART
AGREE. Can never have enough WINNERS on your team. If we can get him at approximately the same price the Lions paid him last year Q would be a great addition. 2 million is small money for 67 catches and 8 TD's, not to mention the toughness, down field blocking, and Red Zone presence. #81 is now available. Karma?
I just hope the undrafted class and free agency can bring some depth to the O.
Hopefully one of the Undrafted FA WR's surprises us. Would not mind seeing Boldin come back if we can get him for what the Lions paid him last year. 2 Mill was small money for 67 catches and 8 TD's along with the hard nosed winning attitude.
What all this talk about Boldin? Has any player ever left the team and come back to played? Just can't see that. John H is not that kind of guy.
It gets brought up because other then Wallace we do not have a legitimate WR on the roster.
Time to start courting Boldin considering we have one legitimate WR on the roster in Mike Wallace.
Zzzzzzz.....practice squad.
He can field punts on the Practice Squad with Keenan Reynolds.
I guess Marty knows where he stands. Looks like FO has put him on the chopping block. If Offense is disappointing again it will be on him. Not to mention John's buddy is responsible for O-line and their decline since he's been on board.
Who is "John's buddy" that is responsible for the O Line?
Joe has to play better period point blank! His mistakes are on film and some people conveniently block them out and try to throw blame on the O line or WRs and like I said his mistakes are on film! The pats and squeelers both got Super Bowls that should of been won by the Ravens Troy stripped Joe of one and that very very very bad pass was another so what more can Ozzie and Co. do if the QB isn't getting it done! Wanna fix the Offense it starts at QB and he better step up because walking off the field saying I need more time or throwing lame off passes to the WRs is getting old! Teams feared Joe but now I feel they know how to rattle him and his performance because they know he will just throw it away and punt wearing out our Defense in the process and eventually they will give up the big play because of the Offense inability to score!
You forgot to mention the TD Pass that was DROPPED by Lee Evans in the first AFC Title Game against the Pats when we likely would have gone on to beat the Giants. FYI, that was Flacco who carried the Ravens through the Playoffs and to a Super Bowl VICTORY.
Interesting that the NFL Network has graded the majority of teams with and A or B with a few scattered C's. If that's the case why are there so many mediocre teams? Considering we have ONE legitimate WR on the roster in Mike Wallace, we have to look that way today. On that note, this opens up the door to bring Boldin back. Can never have enough tough proven WINNERS on your team.
The team has said that Correa will be given a chance to move to ILB and start next to Mosley.
He was given the chance last year at ILB and was beaten out by Orr and McClellan. I think the walk-on Onwuasor beat him out in the pre-season as well. Hope he can pick up the position. May be tough for an under-sized OLB/DE who played in a smaller conference in college. Seemed like a reach at #2 last year (sound familiar?), and I have no reason to think differently now. We'll see.
I think you guys are mistaken, badly. Correa was dealing with injuries. I watched him in practice and he looked good. I think we had a bunch of "ok" MLB's and the coach just gave the nod to guys like Orr, guys who needed to prove they could be starters. I felt this way before and I still feel it now...Correa is the true underdog
At best Correa will be our Special Teams stand out. Judon, Onwuasor, McClellan, Bowser, Williams, not to mention any undrafted FA we sign. Would not be surprised if both Correa and Kaufusi are not on the final roster.
All the NO Grades tell me they just didn't want to give a Poor Grade.
Don't know what to think at this point. There was very little drama for me as I was in Philly and they displayed his picture on the big screens even before they announced the pick. On another note, maybe this opens the door a little for Boldin coming back considering we have ONE legitimate WR on the roster in Mike Wallace.
Pick is solid, but I'm getting VERY VERY concerned about our offense.
The talk of the town has been how we need to protect our NFL highest paid QB, how we need to improve our O line and how we need to get bigger and stronger in the trenches. So far the state of our O-line has gotten worse than it was last year.
EVEN IF we do manage to build up the line in the draft and by picking up some FAs and Flacco is kept upright in the pocket, he has almost no WRs to throw the ball to. Do not be mistaken, Perriman is not a proven starter until he is. And Wallace is 2nd WR at best. The rest of the group are just place holder at the moment. Even last year, when Flacco did get time to throw at times, more often than not he didn't have anyone open which resulted in dink-and-dunk plays and 3 and outs. And the situation has gotten worse with the departure of SSS.
I honestly don't know what the plan is here so I won't judge, but it'll require a 2nd and 3rd day of draft for the ages to give this offense a better shot than it did last year.
Agree. As of now we have ONE legitimate WR on the roster in Mike Wallace and he's not gonna scare anybody.
Surprised that Davis, Williams, and Cook went in the top 9 picks. We still need WR's considering we only have one legitimate one on the roster in Mike Wallace. Maybe this opens up the door to bring back Boldin(for the right price only) and pick up an under the radar guy today.
Correction.....Ross

Man, after listening to Steve Smith, and watching john Ross's highlight tape...I'm convinced that we need to pick Ross if he's available
In all honestly, I'm not a big fan of John Ross that much. He's just a speedster with questionable hands and we already got speed. He probably gonna be another Tavon Austin, Brandin Cooks type of a player. We need big wideouts so I like Corey Davis or Mike Williams better imo.
Agree. We need Williams or Davis considering as of now Mike Wallace is the only legitimate proven receiver on the roster.
Nice to see #81 is available for when we bring Boldin back.
Agreed. I'd rather end up with Ju Ju or Davis, but Q would be a nice consolation
Yes, can't hurt to have a winner if the price is right.
80% of the guys drafted this year will hardly play.this season. Ravens don't have a draft better than the other three teams in our division Ravens will become cellar dwellers for a long while. Then will be looking for a QB again.
Ben will be gone in a year or two, the Bengals will eventually/maybe win a playoff game in five years or so, and the Browns will always be five years away from being five years away.
You guys that want us to spend our 1st round pick on a WR aren't thinking it through IMO. I know it seems like an obcfix to our problem on offense, but it would be like putting huge rims on a car that's a lemon. I hope we go either DL/OL/LB or TE in th first round. Honestly drafting a QB in the later rounds would be smart too. Because we need to think future QB's after flacco
To early to think about a QB and other than Wallace we do not have ONE LEGITIMATE WR on the roster. Translated, we need Corey Davis or Mike Wallace.
Nice to see #81 is available for when we bring Boldin back.
In a pass first NFL PLEASE select Corey Davis.
If Flacco is really worth $100,000,000, then we shouldn't need spend a 1st round pick on WR. The QB should be able to manipulate the receivers that he has. If anything TE is a more vital position to hit early. The Patriots have never used a 1st round pick on WR. Only times they used a early pick on a WR was in 2006 & 2013. And both times, both receiver were not worth the picks.
Flacco isn't the kind of QB that makes ordinary WRs into stars. He needs stars to catch balls from him because he doesn't have the football instincts of a Tom Brady or Drew Brees. He is just a talented QB with a great strong arm and not very accurate. So we should accept who he is and make sure he succeeds by giving him the weapons at receiver that can make contested catches, get wide open and catch all balls thrown to them. As for him being worth 100M, sure he is because that is the market for these guys. If you have a franchise QB you pay him market price and there is no guarantee he's going to be Brady either. We are lucky we have Flacco right now. It could be a whole lot worse.
There is Brady......then Rodgers.......then everybody else.

Wasn't the London game shown on CBS or the NFL Network the last few years?
