  1. Which the NFL prefers, because they make more money off of you when you stay at home and watch on TV. Revenue from tickets alone is approx. 10 million dollars for each home game. Add in concessions, merchandise, etc. According to you if 200,000 Ravens Fans are home watching on TV they generate 10 million dollars in revenue?
  2. If the Ravens could go 12-4/13-3 every year like the Pats do M&T Bank Stadium would be a much better place to watch a game. Funny how that works.
  3. It was the same even when we won the Super Bowl. Tim Tebow was the #1 selling jersey at one time. Who Cares? I care about winning. Jersey buyers are band wagon jumpers for the most part.
  4. How many 3 yard pass plays could we work into the game plan with Marshall?
  5. Yup...no return on investment. I don't know what they were thinking with Correa. Let him stay in his natural position. It's not his fault the coaches/scouts did not see the need for an inside LB. Kaufusi was a dud in training camp until his injury. No moves, just bull-rush which probably worked in college. Pros? Not so much. Judon is encouraging but needs to work on his strength, and as a lot of rookies do probably hit the wall in a long season. KC.....our new Arthur Brown. CP(Can't Play)
  6. Yes, the complimentary would be the latter guy. My question: Who is our number 1 guy? Don't even say Wallace or Perriman. Considering that Wallace is our only legit NFL receiver on the roster I'd say it's him.
  7. I hate the Pats. I despise the Pats. I respect the Pats. We can whine about their weak division, their cheating, Brady taking pay cuts and on and on and on. Bottom line is they win 12 games or more every season, host the AFC Title Game just about every season, and are heading to the Super Bowl with Brady for the 7th time. Lets focus on what the Ravens have to do to get better. Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on Winners.
  8. We also had Torrey Smith on the roster cheaply (along with Pitta) and he was among many cap purges we made that offseason, which is fairly common for a SB champ with a big contract going to a QB. That's just how it works. Steve B admitted they made a big mistake and they should have kept him. At least he was man enough to admit such a brutal error in judgement. Cool. And he did so after the 2013 season, when he, like the fans, had the beauty of hindsight. Not that it accomplishes anything, because it doesn't. He's also the one saying every year in his post season PC that the decisions to not sign certain players have direct impact on our ability to sign other players. He's brought up the Dumervil signing on nearly an annual basis in reference to a player we probably couldn't sign if we signed somebody else. He said it recently once again admitting the error in judgement.

  10. Well, keep in mind also that Boldin's regular season production was never spectacular with the Ravens, so it was actually quite hard to justify a $6M price tag on him for what he was giving us in the regular season. He was producing as a #2 WR at that point. I don't think anybody really expected us to return to the playoffs in 2013, and its tough to tell what would have happened. We were able to get Dumervil that year, and maybe that doesn't happen if Boldin is on the roster. No possible way of knowing. Exactly. And at the time, Pitta & Torrey were dominating the catches with Ray Rice in the mix as well. Boldin was the 4th option on offense. We also had a ton of Free agents - Flacco, Reed, McKinney, Leach, Ellerbe, Kruger, Cary Williams, Ihedibo that the Ravens wanted to resign. And the following year - Pitta, Graham, Art Jones, Monroe, Oher, etc. Now, in hindsight, it doesn't look like the right decision, however, no one could have seen Pitta's injury and the Ray Rice fiasco. Also, the money from Boldin allowed us to sign Dumervil, Daryl Smith & Chris Canty. I'll take Dumervil's 17 sack season in 2014 (that help lead us into the play-offs) over any of Boldin's last few seasons. On the other hand Steve B said it was the biggest mistake the organization ever made.
  11. What will the Ravens do with Mike Wallace? Really? Given that he's the only legitimate NFL receiver we have on the team I hope they are smart enough to keep him.
  12. Of Joe's wife made 40 mill a year like Brady's wife does maybe he would consider it.
  13. This is real easy to figure out. Who ever over pays him the most is where he will wind up.
  14. Ah I see my mistake is using the term "trade" when the comment I was rebuffing was (all you flacco bashers.... have absolutely no clue what youre talking about... I can easily say 15-20 teams WISH AND PRAYED TO GOD they can have someone Flacco under center) So my mistake. Please respond to my comments with this in mind. The poster stated 15-20 teams wished they "had" Joe Flacco. Not based in an argument where they would get him on the cheap due to a trade deal we could never realistically afford. His salary is the main issue that I have with him. If he was only 12m a year I would love to have him as my qb. How many teams would take Joe Flacco for his current contract. Thanks 15 to 20.
  15. Made GREAT in part by Joe. Never said he was the best QB in the league but Ravens Fans would have gone crazy if we let him walk.
  16. totally bogus argument. Who would you argue for Ryan Fitzpatrick, EJ Manuel, etc.? Never said Joe was the best QB in the league. Lets face it. There is Brady. There is Rodgers. There is everybody else. In a QB starved league there would be a lot a takers for Joe if we didn't buck up after the Super Bowl. Just out of curiosity, how did you feel when the confetti was falling down on us after the Super Bowl. The purple, black, and gold confetti that is.
  17. More like 5 to 6 wins every year. We have 2 teams, Cincy and Pitt that give us fits. Brady is like 30 and 2 against Buffalo over 17 years. Cleveland always plays us tough and was even competitive in 2002 and 2007. Jets have had a few good years and Miami had one good year back in 2008 when Brady was out for the year, go figure. Those extra wins guarantee home field advantage. In 2011 if we had a Home game against NE we would of been in the Super Bowl. "IF" Lee Evans holds onto the ball we are in the Super Bowl that year. I agree that the AFC "Least" is horrible. On the other hand the Patriots do win 12 to 13 games a year so they must be beating other teams outside of their division and conference. They ran the table on the road this year. 8-0. I don't like it a little but you gotta respect it.
  18. Don't get me wrong, I do not like the Pats even a little bit. On the other hand, a team that consistently wins 12 to 13 games a year is beating other teams outside of their division and conference. Yes they do but a lot of those games are in their house. They can control lots of things in their own back yard. I can't believe they are entirely on the up and up. I do not like cheaters. They play eight games on the road like every other team. They went 8-0 on the road. They went 6-2 at home. Not many teams run the table on the road. Don't like it but I gotta respect it.
  19. Those bottom dweller teams with cap can surprise anyone. A LG--KO--was paid $60 million. I'd love to know how all these teams have so much cap room to steal our best players and overpay them every year. It's like we're the farm team for so many other franchises. Oakland was able to overpay KO because they have not yet faced the breaking the bank for the QB that all teams with decent/NOT GREAT QB's eventually have to address. Two to three years from now the Raiders will be losing quality players.
  20. You are what your record says you are. Good teams find a way to win some of the games we lost. Mediocre teams like the Ravens find a way to lose them. We were a very mediocre team this season.
  21. Things to watch......something other then that lame excuse for a game.
  22. Don't get me wrong, I do not like the Pats even a little bit. On the other hand, a team that consistently wins 12 to 13 games a year is beating other teams outside of their division and conference.
  23. The draft is not just about the first 3 rd, it is about the 7 rds and the UDA. Maxx, Perriman, KC are not bust yet. Was Paul Krauger a bust, was Jimmy Smith a bust, how long it tooks then to the players they are. You mention Elam, Brown, etc.. What about B Williams, Juice, Tucker, KO, Pitta, Wagner etc.. I can keep naming them. How every year NFL teams spend money on our free agents. It is because we have been drafting well. Again NFL draft is not just rd1,2 and 3. No team or GM will draft 7 starters each year in the draft. If you can get 3/4 starters of each draft through their rookie contract, then you will be successful as GM. This is the nature of the game. Our FO has been doing a very good job. They are among the best in the league and no one can't argue. Agree to a certain extent about the Draft being more than Rounds 1,2,and 3. On the other hand, the players you do draft at #1, #2, and #3 BETTER be more than roster fillers/special teams players. Take a look at the first three players the Ravens picked going back to 2009. A few Impact guys, a few good players, and LOTS of mediocre roster filler players and BUSTS.
  24. Agree to your division reference. I would love to see re-alignment of divisions. Imagine if AFC North consisted of Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New England and Cinci. No way New England sweeps every year. I have always stated that being in that weak division helps them greatly. Agree about the weak division to some extent. On the other hand they win 12 to 13 games just about every year so they must be beating other teams as well. It will come as no surprise if once again they host the AFC Title game in 2018 and Advance to the Super Bowl. AGAIN.
  25. I have a crystal ball. The Patriots go 5-1 or 6-0 in division. Finish at 13-3. Host the AFC Title Game. AGAIN. Go to Super Bowl. AGAIN.
