  1. Nico Siragusa is starter material...Dude is a beast, who played every game that he was eligible in college. Look at his stats(or game film), he is not only a piledriver, but extremely durable to boot. I could easily see him starting at LG, and moving Alex Lewis to RT.(remember, Lewis played tackle in college, so not such a big transition for him.) As far as center, I wonder that Mangold and the Raven's don't have a handshake deal that he signs after June 1st. We'll have to wait and see... Hope you are right but I do not have much confidence in him to start. Here is the NFL weakness report on him, pay particular attention to the comment pertainng to his reach ability on Middle LBR's... "Labors coming out of stance. Tends to pop upright and is delayed in his lateral movements. Reach blocks and cut-off blocks on middle linebackers are mission impossible. Hands are a little slow with inconsistent placement. Impatient with punch and will get caught lunging. Has to work to keep weight balanced in pass sets. Unable to punch and mirror, allowing active rushers a pathway to his edge."
  2. Yes wide receiver is a real concern BUT I do not believe that we have the O-Line solved yet. Yes we drafted 2 pieces but they were not top of the draft picks so it's questionable if either will be able to come close to starting and neither is a center. I do not think that either Urschel or Jensen can handle the starting center roll ..... Help Needed!
  3. We needed an additional corner badly, especially one who can play the bump game on the shorter routes. Well done, as for all the rest of the defensive picks, well we just keep spending high picks on the same positions. No's 2 and 3 last year were also on edge rusher and d-Line as well as many other picks the last several years. Balanced teams win SB's and we have a huge investment in our QB position so it makes no sense to CHEAP the O-Line and let him get killed back there trying to score enough points to win? Mark me worried at this point and PLEASE remember, it's a crap shoot how much of an impact a draft choice will make in year 1 so we may have short changed the O and still not fixed the D.....
  4. IMO we do not need an edge rusher in the 1st or 2nd round. We got Judon in the 5th last year and that turned out ok. Go Offensive Line, Receiver or CB in the 1st 3 rounds IF the flow of the draft allows us to. Edge rushers will be there later ...
  5. Sorry John but I do not see it as of YET. We still have major pieces missing especially on the offense. Harbaugh's constant rah rah gets old truefullyBUT what do you expect him to say??? My problem is that I am starting to believe that HE believes what he is saying and not clearly seeing the teams shortfall. Perhaps he should listen more to the fans ....
  6. Drafted Perriman, Stanley first round the past 2 years. That seems to skew offense in my book recently. We released Zuthah, Lost SS SR, Lost Wagner, Lost Akin, Lost Juszczyk last year Lost Osemele and do not have quality back ups for the O line, so unless you want to loose 10 to zip or 14 to 3, you might rethink your position...
  7. You just can not win if you do not put points on the board and our offense is pretty depleted right now. We have drafted edge rushers each of the last several years and it's time for one of them to step up! Coaching staff needs to show an ability to develop the raw talent that has been drafted ie Correra! We need to focus on offense this year, OL and Receiver at the high end of the draft and I would be much happier with a CB who can cover than another edge rusher if we go defense again. Everyone says we need more pressure to help the corners BUT if the corners can hold just a little longer in solid coverage the rush that we have may just have the time to get there! Today's NFL is shorter, quick routes which further establishes the need for solid corners who can play the bump game well because outside pressure is probably not going to get there on the quick release routes anyway. Priority on Defense is CB not edge rusher IMO. but we also need to fix the dam offense once and for all!
  8. I hope the talk of Peppers is just smoke because IMO we do not need him, I can't see him at LB and we probably can get a true CB in the 1st or 2nd round...
  9. In my humble opinion we need to stay away from a pass rusher for once early in the draft however I know that is difficult for Ozzie to do. We just have tooooo many holes on the offensive line and receiver. We also still have a huge need at CB because to me J. Smith is not dependable and when he is on the field I do not see a shut down corner as most seem to see. I see a very average corner who gets beat easily off of the line. Just can't count on him any longer.... Fix the line, get a receiver and corner and then add a piece or two on defense if it's available. RB to me is also not a priority this year...
  10. Great Game to watch as a outsider. We all Hate Brady but that is because he and Belichick are winners and it's no secret why, they simply outwork and compete at a level no other coaching staff/Qb dose. Belichick's drive, focus and knowledge of the x" and o's is on a level all of it's own... Man does not stop coaching including during the game one on one with players constantly talking the finer points of the game.
  11. John, John, John YES they underachieved, just go back to this site and read all of the writers stories posted during July and August! Amazing how quickly all of you can spin the hype and then forget it or rationalize it latter .... Better not to do it to begin with and be reporters or journalist versus marketing men.
  12. Zuttah is as good as gone, CB wasn't neglected this year like years in the past but wright busted and powers turned into a mess. We need to stop spreading the wealth at CB and just get a 5-7 mil a year CB that would push young to the slot whee he would be great. And sufficiently cover #1s "when" Jimmy is hurt. Young is def a keeper keep your heads up Ravens. Jimmy is always hurt, especially for big games, useless....
  13. Offense left 2 that's 2 gift interceptions down tight on the table settling for field goals versus 7. The offense was not ok.... Agree that the corners are an issue as well as safety's, where was the safety help on the long pass interference against Tavon???? IMO .... Pees is not the problem, we are lucky to have him. Caliber of players are the problem and a general lack of execution. Tavon HAS to get his head around on that pass and with it's inside position it was a possible interception and Game Over! That is not PEES .
  14. Well I hope they bring more desperation and execution to the table today than last week, if not, season is over ....
  15. Harbaugh is great at knowing what he should have done, the key is to do what needs to be done when the game is being played, not in the presser afterwards....
