  1. my wish draft

    Round 1. Mike Williams-WR-Clem
(He is our answer to AJ Green and Antonio Brown)

    Round 2. Tim Williams-OLB-Bamma
    (He is a Raven)

    Round 3. Sid Jones--CB- Wash
    (He is worth waiting for)

    Round 3. Jalen Myrick-CB- Minn
(Most under rated CB in the draft)

Round 4. Ethan Pocic- C- LSU
(Helps secure a position of need / can come in and start)

Round 5. Noah Brown- WR- Ohio State
(he is raw but rare athletic gifts make him a great gamble in the 5th)

    Round 6. Kareem Are - G/T-FSU
(Can play G or T and will move inside where is will fit well in Greg Romans style. Are is a big guy who can move but needs to be coached up) We have the guy for that!

    Round 3. Sid Jones--CB- Wash
    (He is worth waiting for)

Every team thinks they can get him in the third. I think a team that wants him will need to take him in the second.

I hear a lot of people say Ross isn't a good fit for us because"we already have speed." That's a terrible reason not to draft someone. I don't know if Ozzy is interested, but I do know that if he isn't, it's not because he's too fast. Too much speed has never hurt anyone. I've never heard anyone say, "they would have had a shot last year, but the thing that held them back was that they were just too fast." If he lacks route running ability, good hands, or toughness, that would be a legit reason to pass on him, but having 4.22 speed isn't going to hurt his ability to do any of those things.

I'm not an anti-speedite. It's just that we have speed already and have a glaring need for a possession receiver. We need a chain-mover and Davis (or Williams) is more of that guy that we need. Also, Ross is fragile and we already have plenty of fragile WR's as well.

They keep projecting everyone to us. Mock drafts should be treated as what they are... mocks. I've seen mocks giving us 2 TE's, a QB and a RB, with no CB and WR... I've seen mocks giving us two WR's with the first two pick...

True. I've seen every combination as well. But you would think if they are sports writers for a living, they would put in more effort than me (an unpaid fan) to come up with something more reasonable.

  4. I think the ravens will trade back,, however if Davis ,Williams or Barnett is there at pick #16 i can almost guarantee you that we will stay put and draft one of these guys.

Completely agree. I think we will (and should) trade back. But if any of those three are still on the board, it will be very hard to make the trade.

BC we are light years ahead on defense....

BC Offensively we will have both Gilmore and Watson back healthy and we brought in Woodhead - who will generate a lot of YAC. and the 3 of them can really move the chains.

BC Yanda will be healthy this year

BC We will draft at least 1 WR (and possibly more) and probably bring another WR in (Boldin?)

BC We will draft at least 1 OL (and possibly more) and may still bring another in after May 9th (Mangold?)

BC Greg Roman will demonstrate that his history of success is not by accident.

and Finally bc guys like Ronnie Stanley, Alex Lewis, BPerriman, and Kenneth Dixon will all have a season under their belt of NFL experience and will be able to contribute more as a result this season!

    Thanks, i feel better

So if Torrey caught the ball you want our banged up secondary to save the day?! Smh Joe had the entire left side of the field to run the ball and run down the clock PLUS they played Joe putting the CB up on Torrey and Joe saw it and the safety waited and got Torrey into over and under coverage! They showed the view from behind Joe on SB Nation and it was a very very very bad pass! Bmore. Com will not show that angle! Things we missed did not air! Smh

Oh I agree, I prefer that we would have run the ball to use up the clock. But the point is, there are plenty of instances where key drops sunk the ravens, while Joe's throws were on target.

Joe should have 3 Super Bowls! But noooooooooooooooooo he tried to get a pass off before Troy Polomalu strip the ball out his hand costing us a trip against the Cardinals and a very very very bad pass against the pats costing us another Super Bowl against the Seahawks because Justin had a monster day and throwing to the endzone and maybe depending on your banged up secondary to stop Brady would have been pointless! I thought Joe could get 5 rings with us but he disappointed me big time! Ozzie and Co. are working their tails off keeping good players on this team year after year but it all falls on the QB! And throwing the O line under the bus is getting old! Smh multiple Super Bowls we should have FOUR! Bring facts to the table if you think different!

You forgot the Lee Evans/Billy Cundiff fiasco and the Boldin dropped pass - both money passes by Flacco.

And don't forget a drop by Houshmandzadeh to end a season. And I think it was Mark Clayton who was hit in the chest and dropped a pass to end another season.

And i also believe if Torrey had fought for the ball, he could have at least prevented a crucial interception by the Patriots.

So there's 4 or 5 seasons where Flacco gets the blame but it was not his fault.

agree with Aiken, he deserved more reps or at the very least constructive feedback on what needed improvement to get more play time. my sense is, my beloved Ravens just don['t have a good Reciever Game strategy/route trees/creative plays to take advantage of skills of WR's - they are to predictable and limited to keying on 1 or 2 WR's for any play (lacks flexibility) and simple progression reads that either go to #1 or #2 or very quickly to the dump-off outlet - come on guys, let's get it together for 2017.

I'm pretty sure he identified already that the Ravens were identifying things that he didn't do well or needed to work on. Seemed he just simply disagreed.

The problem with Aiken is that I don't see a particular set of skills that he brings to the table that differentiates himself from his peers, and I think the league knows that.

Aiken's skill set was being sure handed on 3rd down and moving the chains, which he did when he played.
His peers: Perriman- deep threat with no hands
Wallace- deep threat who occasionally had no hands
Ironically, his best shot for playing time would've come with this years Ravens since, with the departure of SSS, he would have had the surest hands on the team aside from getting one of the top 3 WR in the draft.

Apparently, Aiken was not hearing that from management. So it seems Ozzie feels he could do better.

Dunno if anyone else has realized - but with Aiken saying interesting things about the Ravens offensive situation - but I cannot help noticing that in 2 years this was the second time a free agent says negative things about the Ravens offensive management. Last year KO said that he never felt that the O-line is appreciated - and now Aiken... You never hear anything bad like that about the D...

Yep, it may be nothing more than a bitter player... but still.

Hopefully, it's nothing. But if it is, that means we probably have a couple more years of offensive dysfunction.

Umm pardon me but you don't pick off 21 passes in division 1 college ball (playing in the ACC) by accident... Again, did you say they didn't know what they got...? What else could they have been expecting???

I'm agreeing with you - it should be a no brainer. But did you read the article? Unless the whole article was sarcastic, they don't sound too enthused...

"But no one was jumping up and down at the team's Owings Mills complex when Reed's name was called"

"But there was no magic yesterday, just Ed Reed"

"When Ravens team officials walked into the news conference to talk about Reed, there wasn't much excitement. Last year, Newsome and Phil Savage, the team's director of scouting, traded high fives across the table when they found out Heap was still available. Owner Art Modell cracked a lot of jokes, and coach Brian Billick once asked to be pinched because he thought he was dreaming. Yesterday, it seemed like they were in Mudville."

"Safety. Ed Reed. It was a good choice, but just didn't create the buzz of past No. 1 selections."

  11. I've not been a fan of trading back. But i think this year we can trade back up to 10 spots and still get a solid player plus an extra 2nd/3rd round pick. Every mock draft I see, I check from 16 all the way to 26 to see who is still there. there always seems to be loads of talent.

If Sidney Jones fell to us in round 3, I'd take him, but round 2 we need the CB or rusher we don't get in the first.

  12. I say Ozzie's surprise will be ...................... OJ Howard! Why?
    1. If he's available he is BPA
    2. Pitta and Howard would be big headaches for any defense.
    3. Max is a bust, Gilmore is a blocking tight end!
    4. We will save cap space by cutting Watson
    5. This is the next best thing to having a dominate slot WR which we need. Wallace and Perriman will stretch the field while TE's do damage in the middle.

    We shall see

    1. Not necessarily, and we have so many other needs. It would work better if we could trade one of our existing TE's, maybe for an OL guy.
    3. Gilmore is pretty darn good with the ball in his hands.
    5. I agree. If we have a chain moving TE, do we need a chain moving WR?
