Gruden seems to like Pees
When the MNF promo features a field goal kicker, you know it's bad.
Picking up Clausen because he has "history" with Trestman is odd. Don't see any upside with Clausen. Should have considered Renner a little more.
I upvoted you. Well, at least I thought i did, but i hit the wrong button and you got a downvote instead. It's been that kind of year. Sorry
Now that Peyton Manning indicated he's planning to play in 2016 even if not in Denver, I wonder when someone comes up with the idea of reaching out for him
Now THAT would be interesting. Having some Peyton Manning defense reading skills rub off on Joe. Yes.
Kaepernick should not be mentioned in the same sentence as. Joe.
Bryn Renner best of that list..
Anyone know how next years draft class is shaping up? I'd hate to finally get an early pick in a crappy draft year!!!
He's got some Bernard Pollard in him.
I know football is a rough sport and players on every team get hurt but doesn't it seem like The Ravens are putting a new player on each IR each week? Does the training staff need to be looked at? I'm sure they are doing their job but come on the last two years have been a joke with the amount of players that go on IR.
yes, i posted something similar a year ago. Something seems wrong there. Also, we should look at the WR & DB coaches. No matter who we bring in for those positions, they don't seem to learn anything.
Even the most optimistic threw in the towel after losing to the Jags.
Really, at this point who cares.
I could get into the 8-0 run hype, even if i thought it wouldn't really happen. It would be fun to cheer on until it failed. I just didn't think it would fail on the first try. Honestly - the Jags?? Really?
Im a big flacco fan, but If Joe is our leader, I hope he comes up with something better than "were just not good enough, at the end of the day, not good enough to close games..." now that's inspirational!! long gone are the true leaders.
What do you expect him to say, "my receivers suck", "our o-line is porous", "our coaching is suspect". Joe's a classy guy and there really is nothing positive he can say. Like you, I'm a Joe fan. I'm hoping this season has a major impact on him, in that he becomes more the leader we need. He will never be a rah rah guy, but if he demands accountability after each play, he can pull the team up.
Yes, how do the patriots never leave the top tier?
My pick in the draft was Kevin White. So, shockingly!, i am not better than Ozzie!
This article reminds me of all those off-season articles which led me to think we were on a bee line to the super bowl.
Brandon Williams, doing very good work on ending hunger!
I saw what you did there!
So is the NFL the facilitator or the union?
The doctor, "performed a minor scope procedure to confirm there was no new damage"? Sounds like more damage is being done in treatment. Aren't there enough imaging technologies available to avoid cutting?
I would be more interested in an article on his personality and how the team is accepting him. Does he get along? Do they look forward to working with him? What makes him unique. Etc.
@robbie29 I'm thinking the WR & DB coaching is not up to snuff.
When you play the corners back 10 to 15 yards on plays is it any wonder the other team gets those easy 5-8 yard receptions over and over and over? Pees needs to work on getting them to tighten up that coverage some. That bend but don't break philosophy might have been good way back when, but in today's nfl it looks lame.
I agree, but we don't know how to play press. We think it means the defender stands closer to the receiver at the LOS and then watches him run past. We don't impede, disrupt or redirect.
We have enough TE's - move Pitta to slot receiver.
Joe looks happier with longer hair. Joe - grow some dreadlocks, you'll be ecstatic!!
Good for him!! I wonder if Asa was in consideration for it.
One win down and eight to go! Maybe he can join us for some tough games at the back end of the season.
1) We waste a resource, that is Joe's big arm, by not having a speedster. That is true. 2) I agree with Joe - "it's tough for an offense to consistently produce when it always has to drive bit-by-bit rather than in chunks." However, the good offenses move down the field bit by bit with quick release passes. For that we need receivers who can get separation quickly.
