  1. What if Corey Davis & Derek Barnett are both on the board??
  2. Garrett, your piece on Rod Carew and Konrad Reuland was awesome!
  3. I'm not an anti-speedite. It's just that we have speed already and have a glaring need for a possession receiver. We need a chain-mover and Davis (or Williams) is more of that guy that we need. Also, Ross is fragile and we already have plenty of fragile WR's as well.
  4. True. I've seen every combination as well. But you would think if they are sports writers for a living, they would put in more effort than me (an unpaid fan) to come up with something more reasonable.
  5. Why do they keep projecting John Ross to us. We already have two speedsters; and no, he is not a good replacement for SSS. Corey Davis could be or maybe, Mike Williams.
  6. Nice draft. Every team thinks they are getting Sidney in the third !! It would be worth bringing Boldin back to mentor JuJu
  7. Completely agree. I think we will (and should) trade back. But if any of those three are still on the board, it will be very hard to make the trade.
  8. Thanks, i feel better
  9. We lost a good RT and a good WR (SSS). So if our first two rounds are RT & WR, have we made any progress? We are just where we left off last year.
  10. Isn't Correa more suited to OLB rather than ILB? p.s. Bio - busy morning for you!
  11. Oh I agree, I prefer that we would have run the ball to use up the clock. But the point is, there are plenty of instances where key drops sunk the ravens, while Joe's throws were on target.
  12. You forgot the Lee Evans/Billy Cundiff fiasco and the Boldin dropped pass - both money passes by Flacco. And don't forget a drop by Houshmandzadeh to end a season. And I think it was Mark Clayton who was hit in the chest and dropped a pass to end another season. And i also believe if Torrey had fought for the ball, he could have at least prevented a crucial interception by the Patriots. So there's 4 or 5 seasons where Flacco gets the blame but it was not his fault.
  13. I'm pretty sure he identified already that the Ravens were identifying things that he didn't do well or needed to work on. Seemed he just simply disagreed. The problem with Aiken is that I don't see a particular set of skills that he brings to the table that differentiates himself from his peers, and I think the league knows that. Aiken's skill set was being sure handed on 3rd down and moving the chains, which he did when he played. His peers: Perriman- deep threat with no hands Wallace- deep threat who occasionally had no hands Ironically, his best shot for playing time would've come with this years Ravens since, with the departure of SSS, he would have had the surest hands on the team aside from getting one of the top 3 WR in the draft. Apparently, Aiken was not hearing that from management. So it seems Ozzie feels he could do better.
  14. Hopefully, it's nothing. But if it is, that means we probably have a couple more years of offensive dysfunction.
  15. I'm agreeing with you - it should be a no brainer. But did you read the article? Unless the whole article was sarcastic, they don't sound too enthused... "But no one was jumping up and down at the team's Owings Mills complex when Reed's name was called" "But there was no magic yesterday, just Ed Reed" "When Ravens team officials walked into the news conference to talk about Reed, there wasn't much excitement. Last year, Newsome and Phil Savage, the team's director of scouting, traded high fives across the table when they found out Heap was still available. Owner Art Modell cracked a lot of jokes, and coach Brian Billick once asked to be pinched because he thought he was dreaming. Yesterday, it seemed like they were in Mudville." "Safety. Ed Reed. It was a good choice, but just didn't create the buzz of past No. 1 selections."
  16. You might enjoy this article when Ed Reed was drafted. We were as excited as the Patriots when they drafted Brady. Neither team knew what they got... http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2002-04-21/sports/0204210199_1_ed-reed-ravens-jamal-lewis
  17. The perfect pair??? Myles Garrett and Marshon Lattimore - of course! Oh, what, you wanted realistic? I thought you said perfect.
  18. Would you rather have Claiborne or Malcom Butler or one the draft guys? (assume Lattimore is gone by pick #16?
  19. I've not been a fan of trading back. But i think this year we can trade back up to 10 spots and still get a solid player plus an extra 2nd/3rd round pick. Every mock draft I see, I check from 16 all the way to 26 to see who is still there. there always seems to be loads of talent. If Sidney Jones fell to us in round 3, I'd take him, but round 2 we need the CB or rusher we don't get in the first.
  20. Is it possible we could slide Jefferson next to Moseley and put Peppers with Weddle?
  21. 1. Not necessarily, and we have so many other needs. It would work better if we could trade one of our existing TE's, maybe for an OL guy. 3. Gilmore is pretty darn good with the ball in his hands. 5. I agree. If we have a chain moving TE, do we need a chain moving WR?
  22. So it looks like everyone was wrong!
  23. No, we won't get Dalvin Cook and Fournette will already be gone. But now we will over pay to get Woodhead. Actually, i don't know that we will overpay, but Woodhead's agent now has a bigger smile on his face.
