  1. Why would there be a question if "moneyball" would translate from MLB to NFL? MLB teams can spend all day; NFL has caps. Seems like it work even better in the NFL. (maybe not with Cleveland, though).
  2. agree!
  3. And the easiest division - well, just ask the Pats!
  4. Did that last year too.
  5. Agree - agree and agree on all 3 points.
  6. Careful!! I was fully pumped last season. These off season articles will pump you up beyond reasonable expectations. I'm keeping my powder dry this year. NFL power rankings has Ravens at #23. While I think they are wrong, I don't want to go through the major disappointment like last year again!
  7. I agree with so many others - would rather cut kendrick and keep hill.
  8. “Baltimore's philosophy is that more picks gives a team more chances to find a playmaker, a starter or key contributor. It's simply the law of averages." I'm starting to wonder about this philosophy. More picks give a better chance of finding a playmaker - it's the law of averages? That's true only if the talent in rounds 1 through 7 are equal! Your odds of a playmaker are higher in the earlier rounds. Plus with more picks, you just end up with more people to cut before the season starts. While I would not necessarily trade up, trading back may not pay off.
  9. I wonder what the the nets and personnel to man the nets costs the NFL each year? Is it more than the cost of a few footballs? What about the good will benefit of fans going home with a football? Just a thought.
  10. I spent many years rooting for Indianapolis (& therefore Petyon) TO LOSE! because of their midnight Mayflower misappropriation. But eventually, I relented since Peyton was too good a guy. As much as I would like Peyton to go out on top, I like what Keuchley (I wanted him for the Ravens!) and Cam are doing. Cam won me over giving TD footballs out to kids.
  11. No, we're not going back. Whether or not any bells and whistles will be added, I don't know. I can tell you that a full feature version of the commenting software is just a click away. Click on the time stamp of any post and that will morph you into the full version where you cna use lots of features. THanks! not ideal, but better.
  12. The clip shows a slippery guy with good hands and balance.
  13. Moderator, Are we ever going back to the prior comment software? Can't see thumbs up/down. Can't use font embellishments. Just not as user friendly.
  14. Kevin, What do those games against the Broncos and Panthers mean today? Not much. If you’re an optimist about the Ravens, these tell you how close we might be. If you’re a pessimist, the games don’t matter at all. So, you're saying you are on the pessimist side. LOL
  15. Palazollo - 3 DE's in the first 6 picks?
  16. U so bad!
  17. Fear the drool.
  18. We have a lot of players on our roster that played in the Sr bowl, that is true.
  19. “What happens in free agency will definitely influence the Ravens’ draft decisions,” Brown said. How can that be, if we take the Best Player Available?
  20. Rams don't need to jump ahead of the 49'ers because the 49'ers are happy with Kap. Chip Kelly is going to SF because he has the QB that he wants there. But with Bosa and Ramsey gone, Ozzie will trade back with someone.
  21. You draft watchers, who is better CB - Hargreaves or Alexander? Guess I better add Ramsey in there too. (Let it begin!!!)
  22. Let 'em have their fun. Purple kool aid is about all we got this year!
  23. Turnover Coach! I like that. (You like that?!!) I wonder if that's what Harbaugh said that or if it's just what Eisenberg thinks? More impact if Harbaugh thinks that way. @Nevermorebmore - I don't like trading back for more picks either. They are just more souls to be cut at a later date. Rather go with quality not quantity. High draft picks have better odds of being playmakers. Unfortunately, I think Jalen, Bosa, etc. will go before our pick and we will trade back.
  24. I think the coaching change, along with the upcoming draft, will fix our secondary problems. That said, Wright started terrible and finished strong. Earned a spot in the mix.
