  2. So that's what an offense looks like.
  3. SHOULD RAVENS TARGET A FIRST-ROUND RUNNING BACK? I didn't think we "targeted". I thought we picked the Best Player Available? Actually, I would prefer a modified BPA. Try to fill holes with trades/FA's so we can go BPA. But if what is available via trade/FA is not good enough, then draft to fill the hole first. If it is a reach to do so, then trade down for more picks. By the way, that's the only time I would trade for more picks. Generally, i think we are better off staying put or trading up for real talent.
  4. This is the worst possible scenario. I wish they would both lose. This morning I read a Cheatriots fan pulled the fire alarm in the steeler's hotel at 3 a.m. I guess the fans have learned from the team. I don't root for either to win, but I want cheating to lose.
  5. It's a great opportunity for him, if he can fill it. I'm afraid there is not enough evidence for Ozzie to rely on him at this point.
  6. If he is approaching free agency, how would a trade work? Could he refuse the trade to hit FA instead? Just asking, cause I don't know.
  7. Sadly, the way of the world. Someday younger commenters will replace us.
  8. NFL parity in the regular season, only the most profitable franchises are allowed into the super bowl. The Ravens were an anomaly. I don't know if it's "profitable" franchises; more likely, franchises that make consistently good decisions.
  9. Yes, we are not that good. But we would be up against backup QB's. Pitt & NE pretty much getting a free ride.
  10. That just makes it worse that we aren't in there!!!!!
  11. Any body but the steelers and pats.
  12. At our best, i've never seen offense look like Atlanta.
  13. The "meh" feeling is cause the Ravens are sitting at home out of uniform watching football on tv and chillin'.
  14. I notice the throw beyond the 1st down marker. We don't do that.
  15. Maybe Harbs got in his head...
  16. Flacco progressed until the SB win. After that, not!
  17. I got overexcited watching real offenses at work.
  18. OK a few... Ngata, Hester, (even Trawick OMG!).
  19. I see a lot of former Ravens performing well in the playoffs
  20. Good news - bad news. Castillo finally leaves but so does Frazier
  21. Hooray a guy that is actually better suited at WR. He doesn't block and Joe is completely fixated on him. Not much of a TE really. I'm referring to those young people you know Waller who would rather be suspended. Williams whom at this point is a complete enigma and Gillmore that sat out half the season with chapped lips..those guys. I think the young TE's can be pretty good with Watson as mentor and Roman as coach. But you have an interesting idea there - make Pitta a slot receiver.
  22. Good teams are built from the trenches out. We are in good shape with Yanda & Wagner on one side. Adding Stanley & Lewis to the left also puts us in good shape there. We do need a Matt Birk - like center and also some depth. We have the tight ends. With Dixon and West we have a chance for a running game. We need to get back to pounding the rock. It takes the pressure off Flacco to carry the team, which he cannot do. But he can QB the team to success. I am not sure about the OL and offensive coaching. We should be able to make the playoffs.
  23. No, the injury chart was MUCH bigger!!
  24. One word...coaching. They are successful even when Brady is out, and even when he's in, he's often had no-name receivers (Moss and Gronk are the exceptions, and Gronk is often out) NE holds every player accountable to "do your job".
  25. I don't like Jimmy Smith getting hurt either, but him missing the 2nd half of the Giants game, the jets game, Patriot's game and the 2nd Pittsburgh game showed he is a huge difference maker thanks to Ozzie not drafting a Quality DB in 6 years. Umm, serious? Guess Tray Walker and Tavon Young were no good? Unfortunate incident made that number 1, but Young is a baller no doubt. No excuses to not draft at least 2-3 CB's this next draft and finally fill this glaring need. It is a secondary deep draft from what I've heard as well, best take advantage of what is available. Wonder what our D would have been like with Tray Walker.
