When did I say Joe isn't at fault. I swear the Flacco haters are as bad as the Flacco apologists. Fact is, Joe was pretty damn good in the Kubiak system, like it or not.

Yeah, you mean when Kubiak, known for his run game was the OC?  That run game carried Flacco that year too.  He is used to being carried.  You don't need an infant in the qb position in NFL football.

  2. Flacco's big thing is get rid of the football no matter the consequences.  Let's face it he was a small time football player on a small time football team in Delaware.  Couldn't even make it when he was on the Pitt team and transferred to little known school to get to be the starter.  His lackluster performance was well known before the NFL ever heard of him.  He had a great cast of characters when he came on board in Baltimore and they carried him a lot.  But most are all gone now.  What is left is what we are witness to for several years now.  You want mediocrity week after week, just keep this crew next season.

  3. As you can see on the tv screen, foks, this team is in bad need of a total revamp.  There seems to be something missing in every game this season with lack-luster performance at center throughout setting the tone.  Flacco has lost whatever edge he may have had years ago and is now in fear of being re-injured.  Unless they can pump up his confidence he is a non-plus from now on.

  4. I hope the difficulty in deciding which team to retire from by SSS will cause him so much angst that he plays another year. I sure enjoy his performance and his antics on the field. I can't think of a tougher player on any team who has more to prove on each play. Spinning the football after a catch is his hallmark. Spatting with opposing defensive players is more the norm after a play than the exception. What a spirit. If this guy was in construction he'd build skyscrapers single-handedly.

  5. 3rd year in a row I been writing that something is wrong with the team. And things remain the same for 3 straight years maybe 4. I'm not talking about intangible stuff either. Things like discipline, execution, smart play are all missing. Penalties, missing chances for tds when in the red zone and goofy decisions to go for "it" when going for "it" makes no sense are all examples of what I mean. Harbaugh has never matured as a HC. He still makes the same rookie head coach mistakes he made that first year. He would make a good special teams coach, nothing more.

  6. If, winning is so important as Harbie says, then how come they did not try to win yesterday. That defense stunk up the joint in the 4th quarter. And too many times down the red zone and fg instead of td. I'm still not over that pass play last week where the 'coaches' almost gave up the win in some twisted show of ego. Goofy people running a goofy team.

  7. 'Ravens best defense'. Best if they didn't play good teams that is. This team just didn't rate fair in my book. They were sub-par all season with so many stupid penalties at key points in games that it was obvious no one cared enough to do something about it. Then, yesterday they sealed their own fate with lack of guts against their main rival. Purely predictable considering the decisions made by players and coaches all season. So much potential, so little progress. Time for major team overhaul.

  8. Hey guys. This was our arch-enemy. The team we were built to defeat. What the heck happened in the 4th quarter? Did you forget about the game having 4 quarters? This game was a statement about the entire 2016 Ravens team. Just not good enough. Now go back home, do some serious reflecting on your talent and decide if you're good enough to come out next year with more preparation, more emotion, more of everything that wins games. Or just don't come back.

If the Bills beat the Dolphins and Oakland lost this weekend, I envisioned the Pats losing to ensure the Ravens were kept out of the wildcard spot.  They'd rather face the inexperienced Dolphins and a backup QB than an experienced Ravens team on the road to the SB.

Superbowl!!! We're not talking superbowl!!! This team it too old and slow to get to the bus to take 'em home after the game.   Wanna bet there are some changes this off-season???  I'd be willing to bet there will be major coaching and player changes.  Maybe even management changes to boot.  Shake up is wake up time in Baltimore.  This team lacks any ability to get out of their own way.  Entirely inadequate.  Surely toast and mostly ghastly.

  10. The article mentions the word "baffling". Nothing about this team is baffling if you consider the defects in coaching staff due to many factors including turnover of coaches, lack of competence etc. Player morale is affected negatively on the field when play calling/strategy is questionable. Digression of player performance can be a factor in improper coaching technique. Confusion in the minds of players on the field due to constant change of direction looks like a player has lost his ability. When in fact the real culprit is something completely different. It is up to the upper management to right this ship. To me it looks like the coaches have lost their confidence as well as the players and are now second-guessing themselves. Not sure if keeping present coaching staff can produce desired results. It is a conundrum for the front office and ownership. Glad I don't have to make the moves myself.

  11. Pure drivel. The assessment above bears no resemblance to the game I watched. Lousy execution, purely lousy coaching decisions, the win represents a collection of missteps that are difficult to watch. Certainly not the best offensive production of the year as stated. Let's get real. Unless someone lights a fire under this team, including it's coaching they are doomed. This game was a matter of luck, nothing else. Why Philadelphia spotted us 7 points up front at the beginning of the game just to make it interesting. Without that they lose.

    The good: we won

bad: Flacco and the run defense

    ugly: coaching

This coaching staff is starting too scare me. I really thought we had a good staff, not so sure any more. Some of decision making is really mind boggling.

I'm pretty sure Marty won't be back, but starting to wonder about John. Will he be back?

Haven't heard anything about his contract being extended beyond 2017 and it's hard to believe that he will coach on a one year deal.

I think I said this on here about 6 years ago.  If Harbaugh had another co-coach who was responsible for key decision making at critical moments he might be great.  His ability to coach players is his strength.  His game management, not so much.
