  1. Absent Kubiak, I think this team is doing the right things to bring about the best situation for the offense. There was some concern with the change of OC's again but Joe Flacco has proven over and over he can cope as long as the lead is solid. Of course only time will tell but from everything I've seen the new staff seem to be a positive considering all the change.
  2. Justin show us the same love we have showed you. Sign up to be a Raven for a long time. You gotta new wife, new home, new car, new wardrobe, lots of friends. Be nice to the team and city that has embraced you.
  3. JJ you'll be remembered for a long long time in Bmore. Was sorry you left us after the 11 season. God speed.
  4. Arrington makes sense if the team can afford the price or work out a deal. If Brady didn't cheat he might not be the big 'superstar' he's made out to be. It's a lot easier for his receivers to haul in the balls when they are soft. Wonder how many years he's been doing this?? And who gained? That is the question. Did Brady get more $$ for doing this?? The team benefitted the most. I think this scam goes right to the top of their organization. Brady was for sure in on it (he handled the balls). But who actually gained? Bellycheck and Kraft gained. Ego's aside, this thing stinks up the NFL to the highest degree possible, especially considering this same organization has been known to cheat before with spygate.
  5. Should be a permanent suspension. Trashing the game that way is unforgivable. Give him time to raise some of the kids he's sired.
  6. Is it true Ed didn't even have an agent for years while he played with the Ravens. I heard that and from what I know about him I wouldn't have trouble believing the story.
  7. Makes you wonder about the kicking balls in that famous 2011 AFC championship game up there. You know. The one where Billy Cundiff missed the field goal. We don't know how long the Patriots have been doing this, do we. And to say Belly-check didn't know anything is absurd on the face of it and down deeper. The man, the team has a history of cheating.
  8. Truly one of the greats. We always hate to see such a talented player age. He was nearly mystical at times with his ability to retrieve passes meant for the other teams receivers. Will always remember him and his play.
  9. Perhaps Joe won't have any kiddo's on the way at playoff time this year. Laser concentration at that time of year is essential.
  10. Smooth. All the way. In the era of salary caps the team's management is the one thing that can really make the difference.
  11. Football is too mean a game to be played any longer. Too much mayhem. Injuries. Upset moms don't need to see their youngun's getting torn up:) Not!!!!!!! Luv to see carnage and helmets flying. One of my few pleasures.
  12. Smart, very smart. Being a human being rather than a boss is always the best route.
  13. Yeah so the guy had a down season then none last year at all. Things happen. You gotta look at the total picture, at his body of work. Well there are those who are short-sighted and are surprised when good things happen. But that doesn't help build a good team. This move is as basic and as well thought out as any I've seen lately.
  14. If you take a player from the draft and attempt to plug them in the first year as a starter, 9 times out of 10 you ruin them and their confidence and maybe even their ability. How many 22 year olds you know you want to make head of your company??? These guys gel emotionally later on after mentoring by other players and coaches and while their physical abilities are still intact. If you draft for starters like some teams do (Cleveland, Oakland, etc) you get what you see year after year with them. You want the Ravens to be like Cleveland? The management of the Ravens is such a brain-trust of wisdom that we all need to relax and let them do their thing. Suffice it to say there are players in the wings we don't even know about yet. After the draft teams will make trades before the beginning of the training and pre-season. The draft is for next year and the year after, not necessarily for this year.
  15. I agree. The entire team was responsible. If just one of those games had gone the other way they might have been in the playoffs and gone all the way. That is until Flacco got injured and played gimpy after Detroit. The NE fiasco was telling though about our defense. And it was not up to par last season. 12 overall I believe. Like I said I agree the offense was nothing to write home about with an overall rating of 29 out of 32 teams. Part was due to purge after SB, injury to Pita then J Jones and green OL. Not to mention questionable coaching in some areas. I think Kubiak will force more out of these codgers this year though. At least I hope so.
  16. That young one they started last year is real. And effective. Did you see him play at all? They got game.
  17. Go Ravens. Do they still hold the all time record for fewest points allowed?
  18. The military is up there. This really is a draft. I know cause I got drafted into the army years ago.
  19. Like I said safety then RB in that order. One down one to go. The rest is gravey
  20. Anyone remember last year when our offense got the lead and our defense couldn't hold it? Devastating results. Going defense is the future of this franchise right now. I like the picks.
  21. And why aren't cheerleaders included in the draft??
  22. I believe a good portion of the draft is window dressing with many really good talents never a part of it. It is not an end-all. Don't put so much stock in this draft. It is important but not the total picture of how a team is put together. Some players don't gel until in their 20's. And as a result they don't make it big in the draft. We see this all the time. So relax and understand Ozzie's prowess as a premiere GM
  23. Safety and RB in that order coming up.
  24. Bigger issue than receivers is O line. If the receivers and qb do not have time to get open before the qb gets sacked then separation and jumping up for the ball is a mute issue.
  25. Uh, didn't we sign Steve Smith?? And who was the new tight end? And didn't they resign J Jones? I guess that's nobody for Flacco to throw to. I forgot to mention Torrey Smith. Relax the draft isn't necessarily going to give you starters. You want a shiny car with no engine or a dull one that goes down the road like a rocket??
