  1. Hahaa. I never said we were gonna make the playoffs but was hoping we could have still been relevant. All 6 losses were close and had we won any of them we would be playing for something. I'm just sick and tired of us grooming coordinators just to see them walk away after a good season. The irony is that we get to keep the bad ones until they single handily ruin a season or 2.

We have a D-Coordinator that basically is getting his 60 day notice as we speak. He cant develop anyone! and is allergic to disguising a blitz. We have an O-Coordinator that wont make adjustment if his life depended on it. He on the other hand will look a blitz in the eye and rarely has a hot receiver knowing that opponents are blitzing all game long.

    Very well stated!

  2. Or maybe the Ravens are a 7-0 team with a 1-6 record...  Every game we played in was winnable.  Do you really think we'd be losing as many games as we have if we didn't have so many injuries ourselves this year?  Every team at some point has key injured players whose lose is truly felt during games they miss, not just Pittsburgh.  Can anybody say "T-Sizzle"?  And who's to say we couldn't have beat Pittsburgh with Ben?  Everyone thought the Cardinals and Cincy would totally destroy us, but they didn't.  It was right down to the wire.  And if you really think about it, it's the worse QBs that have fared the best against our defense.

I'm also tired of hearing about how we would have lost if the Steelers kicker hadn't missed.  Yea?  Well let's turn that around - maybe we would have won some of these games if we had receivers who could catch.  Or maybe we'd have won some of our loses if we had players that didn't make bone-headed penalty-causing mistakes at critical times.  What about a QB who doesn't throw off his back foot and miss wide open receivers?  Anyway, you get the point.  So, can we please just accept the dang on "win" we got and stop crapping all over it?

Not so fast my friend...we are what are record say we are...1 and 6.

  3. Pees

Kduo do me a favor? Take the blueprint to build a Lamborghini, but use parts from a Ford Focus to build the car. Even though you have a great blueprint if you don't have the right parts it's not going to work. Pees has ran defenses for years so he must have some type of idea, but he doesn't have the parts to make it work right now. How many different guys have played and started in the secondary this year? Reason why average passers are having great games against us. Hopefully we can draft another corner in the 1st round next year to match up with Jimmy.

  4. At this point the playoffs is a far stretch. I would begin to play some of the backups more...oh my bad we are already playing backups...lol...but in all seriousness I would be figuring out how to upgrade the secondary, pass rusher, receiver, and backfield positions. We need more dynamic playmakers that will make Joe look better. He isn't type that elevates other players games. Nothing against Joe, but when he made that playoff run in 2012 he was handing the ball off to a 1,000 yard rusher (Rice), throwing to a great TE (Pita), had a go to WR (Boldin), had two burners to go deep to (T. Smith and J. Jones). We had actual weapons. Our best offensive player now is Smith. Who is great, but as we say last week he is limited by his height in the endzone. Just a smaller target to hit in close quarters. When we had Boldin and T. Smith you could throuw it up and have a chance. Just my two cents.

  5. All the normal BS from an opponent. What Palmer wants to really say is " I can't wait to put up over 400 yards on that sorry excuse for a D with no heart".

I'll give you a half a neg on that. They have heart. No one has quit because we have been in all of our games with a chance to win. BUT you are right 400 yards against us right now isn't a stretch. Lol

  6. I think we're able to pull the upset of the week by beating the Cardinals. it'll be tough but it's not time to give up on the Ravens. The way things are, 8-8 could be enough for playoffs. It's just tough seeing us being very inconsistent so far and making so many penalties.... and even tougher seeing Stefon Diggs putting 100-yards games in back to back weeks

Give it up brother we will not go 7-3 for the rest of the year. Or did I miss the newsflash that a 25 year olds Ray Lewis, Ed Reed Reed, Ngata, and T-Sizzle are on the roster?

  7. Does everyone think the Ravens are the only AFC team sucking it up right now!  KC, Phins, and others aren't very far behind.  We just may very well be like the NFC was last year.  Didn't a 7-9 team make it to the tournament???  I know we have issues...  trust me.  Call me an eternal optimist, but I'm keeping the faith for now.

As for the draft picks???  I'm with Cobra and a few others.  Hang on to them for Draft day.  We can use them to move up if needed.

7-9 got in as a division winner. We will not win this division with a 7-9 record. LOL

  8. I believe that if we had an average qb, we would have one of the worst offenses in the league, but we have a top 10 offense right now in terms of ppg. There's no way that happens with an average qb, an inconsistent run game and o-line, and a bunch of 3rd string pass catchers.

Also, if Flacco is average, then Tom Brady was also average in the years he's played without Gronk or Moss, because his stats in those years are similar to Flacco's. When you look at stats, you have to remember that they are a reflection of the entire offense, not just the qb. No one in NFL history has ever put up "elite" numbers with the type of offense Joe has right now.

Sorry brother Joe is a lights out QB in playoffs and inconsistent in the regular season. Without looking at stats the eye test proves inconsistent. BUT here are the numbers:

    • Broncos - 117 yds passing and 0 TD, 2 INT (one was a pick 6)
    • Raiders - 384 yds passing and 2 TD, 1 INT
    • Bengals - 362 yds passing and 2 TD, 1 INT
    • Steelers - 189 yds passing and 1 TD, 1 INT
    • Browns - 210 yds passing and 1 TD, 0 INT
    • That's 6 TDs and 5 INTS = inconsistent

Like I said I love the guy especially in playoffs, but in the regular season he is what he is right now. Trust me he isn't the only reason we are 1-4, but it comes with the territory when you are getting $20 Million a year you will get a lot of the blame. I didn't make those rules up that's reality.

  9. The Ravens luckily are in a conference that has zero talent. Like I said they can easily still make the wild card and I think that is what they are pushing for. They have the talent to stay in games against top teams like the Bengals and Broncos. If they make the defensive changes now and win games... We are almost to the easiest part of our schedule that had all the tough match ups at the beginning. Any team that makes it to the play offs has a shot at the super bowl. I mean look at the Giants in 2011-2012 Giants and the 2012-2013 Ravens. Ravens lost 3 of their last 4 that year and nobody thought they were going anywhere in the play offs and then they made a historic super bowl run. Just a thought we are not a bad team we are staying in games with who they consider the top (Bengals and Broncos) and we should have won both. I think it is just a change of focus that can still save the season. But then again I'm drinking that purple kool-aid and even if we were 0-8 I would say there was a chance. But in reality there is a shot but I don't think it is worth trading for another player unless we start a big win streak.

At the moment we are 1-4 with 11 games left. To get a wild card spot I'm thinking best case scenario is we can get in with a 9-7 record. Do you believe that we can win 8 out 11 games? I just can't see it happening brother.

  10. Brady and Manning have not done anything at all with the type of skill players on offense that the Ravens have right now. When Brady got credit for "carrying" a bad receiving corps in 2013, Kamar Aiken was on their practice squad, meaning that our current #1 WR wasn't even good enough to make the roster for the Patriots in their worst year. Manning and Rodgers have had a great receiving corps their entire careers. We were down to 3rd string at every skill position on offense and still put up 30, without benefitting from any turnovers forced by the defense. Most of Flacco's incompletions at the end of the game were throwaways, because he doesn't have anyone to throw to. It makes no sense to put it on the offense for not sealing the deal. The most injury depleted unit in the league gave the defense multiple opportunities to seal the deal, and they gave it away. I don't care who the qb is, or how much money he is paid, nobody is putting up more than 30/game with a bunch of 3rd stringers who aren't even good enough to make the roster on most teams.

Just admit it Joe is great during playoffs, but is average during regular season. I love the guy like you do, but he is what he is.

  11. Come on man. Joe is doing more with less than any QB in the league. no Intss, 1 Pass TD, 2 rush TDs and he sucked today?  He's making guys like Aiken , Campanero, Brown money when no one else would even draft them. Adding years to the career of guys like Mason, Boldin, Smith Sr, Daniels. Does he miss throws? yes, is he elite? No, He put 30 points on the board with a bunch of guys who were cut or on the street. Get him some help

Joe is a great playoff QB which is great, but in the regular season he is VERY inconsistent. Just look at the stats from this year from game to game.

  12. We all know the players are great, which means these losses came down to coaching. Harbaugh has to decide whether he's doing something wrong or Pees is, because we shouldn't go from being a perennial playoff team to contending for the No.1 Pick.

What if we do get the number one pick? What we do with it? The pick want be a QB. Is there a WR worthy of first pick? A defense back never gets the first overall pick. I'm guessing a pass rusher or Ozzie trades down to get multiple picks that I hope will included Joe's replacement because there's not way he gets paid all of that money on his contract unless he gets on a run again and wins a super bowl next year.

  13. dude the fans dont play... joe isnt playing well these last few weeks and you cant blame it on the team around him if you really watch these games... hes sucked quite honestly

Dude I agree with you. I've been saying for years he's only good in the playoffs for some reason, in the regular season like you said "hes sucked quite honestly".

  14. Why should we expect to win another game this season? The d continues to make the same mistakes game after game and teams are picking us apart. Lewis looks lost out there. Our WR's disappeared as the game went on, minimal pass rush, stupid penalties, coaching mistakes, on and on and on. Same thing each week. It is an exercise in futility and sad to watch.

I agree with you. The playoffs are all but over. You have to win 10 games and in some years 9 games to get in playoffs in AFC. with 11 games left there is no way that this team can win 8 or 9 games out of 11. The schedule already is tough with 5 out of 7 of the first games on the road, but we have loss to Cleveland and Oakland two games that should be automatic wins. It's simple we are what we are maybe a 4-6 win team this year.

  15. Very unexpected and sad start to the season. The offense isn't great but they are still putting up points with a patchwork core of receivers, but the defense can't stop a cold. Not sure where we go from here, looking like a losing season and a high draft pick in our future.

High draft pick will not happen. We have a 20M QB that has to play every game and a fan base that want except tanking games. So we will win just enough games that our draft pick will not be a sure thing. You can only think about tanking games when you are looking for a QB and Andrew Luck, Manning, Rogers, etc. is the grand prize of the draft.
