The Perriman injury, the Suggs injury, Gary Barnidge and that ridiculous catch, the Urschel illegal procedure, the Chris Johnson/Brandon Williams fiasco, Steve Smith out for the year, of the things we can't control, nothing but the Steelers kicker has gone right for us this year, it's been tough. Just give Steve time off from now to next year's training camp, to spend all the time rehabbing and with his family. That would be quite a bit of time to spend with them, maybe he could intentionally get after his kids on their homework too much, and bore them by telling them the same stories over and over, and they'll want him out of the house immediately, right back onto our roster for one last go at a Super Bowl.

In Denver, Crockett was running past Bruton, so it's time to lead him. On this one, Jefferson was hanging deep, so it's time to throw it in just into the end zone and let Crockett post-up and catch it while shielding the defender with his body. We did the exact opposite on each one, with predictable results.

Harbaugh, in response to questions about recent injuries:

I imagine changing the whole "get no pass rush and don't cover receivers" thing would be a good start.

DeRon Jenkins. With Donnie Brady and some others, I've never seen a worse pass defense.

He's said before that he was bothered by the fact that they showed him as a novice to football, when he wasn't. That's not why people criticize you, Michael, they're not looking at the kid in the movie in the beginning, who didn't know how to play football, and saying "see, he can't play!" They're looking at you get beat by James Harrison and losing games, not the movie. If you watch the 2012 playoff run, Robert Mathis dominated him in Round 1, Von Miller in Round 2 (even in the run game), and Ahmad Brooks and even Ray MacDonald in the Super Bowl. It just so happened that the rest of the line played well enough, and Joe was on fire enough, for nobody to notice. He was a turnstile for most of his career here, the movie has nothing to do with it.

What a workhorse. He has one of the best excuses for anyone to take it easy, and that old hoss is out there in the humidity and the sunlight, teaching the young guys how to do it. Nothing but respect for Buck, love his low-key demeanor and workman like attitude.

I was concerned in his rookie year on plays vs. Jordan Cameron and Cordarelle Patterson, when Elam was playing way deep and tripped over his feet. He looked scared and panicky, and his interviews are a bit like that, jittery and Bolleresque. He almost dropped the interception vs. the Lions when it was dropped right in his lap. The Sun had some quotations by Elam on his benching, where he said he was mad at first and didn't want to be here anymore. That's a loser's attitude, as if he was playing great and the Ravens conspired against him. A winner would immediately acknowledge he was badly underperforming and work like crazy to find out what he was doing wrong and fix it. Cary Williams used to act like that, and Ray Lewis spent a ton of time teaching him the right way to approach things. I think Elam needs some similar mentoring.

56-0, this has not....gone as I'd hoped.

It's awesome to see so many Ravens fans out of state. I honestly thought about 3 people outside of Maryland in the entire world would be Ravens fans.
