  1. Many of you blame Ozzie for the draft picks. Allow me to give a breakdown of draft picks, on average in the NFL if you are able to get 3 starters out of every 7 draft picks, it is consider a success, no GM in football ever bats at or above .500 in draft picks becoming starters. It is an ongoing revolving door in the era of the salary cap and hundreds of new players coming in every year trying to make the NFL. There are teams who drafted very well and had a losing season, teams who drafted badly and made the playoffs. It is impossible to know in advance if a drafted player will be a success or not, you just play the odds if a player will be successful in the NFL. The disparity among NFL teams are not that far apart, thanks in large part because of salary cap. Most games are decided on just being in the right place at the right time instead of disparities of teams. To expect our draft picks to be nearly all success is not realistic. Every team in the NFL is batting below .500 on draft picks as starters. We will bounce back next year with the core talents we have and plenty of room to add more very good players next year than we were able to do this year.

  2. 0-2 at home. Only team with a worse record is the Lions. While it looks like this season is done, we do have a bright future with a lot of young players who are really good, they just got a bummed deal playing for a losing team this year is all. Much more salary cap space next year, even after Flacco's restructured deal. Several players will no longer be on the team next year. Possible Ravens will start trading players who most likely will not be on the team next year, racking up more picks and having even more cap space. We had a great run for 7 years, we were due to hit a wall sooner or later. I am bummed out how the Ravens are playing this year but am not going to shift my allegiance to another team because of one bad year. A lot of Ravens fans knows bad years comes and goes. I can think of a handful of really bad years the Ravens had and still hung in there with the team. Like in the past, we will eventually get out of it and be in the thick of it again next year. I think it is time for Dean Pees to go and get a new DC no later than end of season. I do appreciate the efforts of Dean Pees including our 2012 Super Bowl run but it is time for a new DC, his schemes are not working good enough to win games. In 2012, Ravens overall defense was ranked 16, since then 2013-#21, 2014-#25 and now 2015 at #20 and falling. We are the 8th worse team in points per game allowed. Time for a change simply because it has not been working well since 2013. We have a lots of young talents, time for a new DC to try to turn around a once proud defensive tradition that has fallen down the ladder in recent years.

  3. Ray Rice/Pitta dead money killed our offseason, priced us out of all the good CB's we wanted

$21,312,197 in dead money, close to $20 million from 3 players - Ray Rice ($9.5 million), Haloti Ngata ($7.5 million), Jacoby Jones ($2.625 million) The rest are pocket change.

Am not sure but I think Pitta's salary does not go against the cap if he is on PUP list.

  4. Only the Lions has a worse record than the Ravens. Shall we began the race for the #1 pick next year? What are the odds that the Ravens get a top 3 pick next year? Also what are the odds that the Ravens will eventually trade SSS for a pick or two so he can get one more shot at SB ring? I am an optimist most times but 1 - 4 is hardly a record to be optimist about on chances of making playoffs. Maybe it is time to start trading players who will likely not be on team next year?

  5. To the fans talking down on Ozzie, what other GM would you rather have?

Those kind of fans either don't realize how lucky we are to have Ozzie compare to other GMs or are just trying to ruffle feathers for kicks. There are those who does not understand how or are too narrow minded to appreciate that the good greatly outweighs the bad with Ozzie at the helm.

  6. Right now, the Ravens have 4 of 5 WRs faster than the average speed of the NFL WRs. The average speed of the NFL in 40 yard dash is 4.55. Ross-4.44, Aiken-4.45, Waller-4.46, Givens-4.41. Only M.Brown is below average speed at 4.63. The Ravens have fast guys at WRs so speed is not a problem as long as plays are designed for high percentage throws. Now that Monroe is back on the blind side, I think the passing percentage will go higher than usual tomorrow.
