  1. I am not sure if we needed to stock up on CB any more than we now have because most of the better players were hurt last year and all are expected to be fully healthy this upcoming season. We got at least 5 CBs which is usually enough. The amount of injuries we had at CB last year is way above norm so hopefully it will not repeat again. Keep in mind that the Ravens ranked #6 last year in points allowed at 18.9, This is beacuse of an excellent front line and linebackers we have which helps by lessening the time the QB has to get rid of the ball. You can have the best CBs and Safeties in the league and it will get burned badly if the front line and linebackers does not get to QBs quick enough. CBs and Safeties are usually only as good as the DL and linebackers in rushing the Qbs. The worse the front 7, the worse the back 4 will be on paper, no matter who you have back there. I am very happy the way the defense is set up, we got well above average front 7 and right now with Webb and Smith coming back, we will have an above average back 4. We just had bad luck not having J.Smith in the playoffs is all. Most teams cannot pay for more than 2 superstars at the CB position. We will be good this year as long as healthy, last year was a freak year in injuires is all.
  2. I agree, this is a terrific class of players the Ravens drafted. They also got a terrific class of undrafted players. I am really happy with the job Ozzie and personnel has accomplished. It looks so good on paper. Hope this year's class will have a few or handful of players who will be great players for the Ravens for a long time. Can't wait to see how good they are on the field. Best of luck to this year's draftees.
  3. I don't usually pay much attention on undrafted rookies but after looking up all those players, that list looks pretty darn good and we just got much stronger, at least in depths. I love our picks and who we got as undrafted rookies. This is shaping up to be a good year for the Ravens. Can't wait to see them in action.
  4. I agree, I wished that much more world and business leaders think that way. Imagined the beauty of earth if caring about humans was more important than money. Shared success goes a long way to make the world a better place, the less shared/more kept for yourself, the more miserable earth is.
  5. Oh no, this should have been more secretive than CIA operations, now every NFL head coach will take all their players out to dinner and the movies, hoping to have success like the Ravens.
  6. John Harbaugh was just on NFL Network live talking about the draft. Even he said there are "fights", disagreements etc among the FO, coaches and scouts and if it is ok for them to disagree and agree, then it is ok for Ravens fans to disagree and agree. I am not gonna wait till the 175th pick as my body agrees to take a nap after 3 days of research, debating and following the draft non stop. It was fun though and sometimes some pretty funny comments loosens up the day. Thanks all for the fun. Looking forward to training camp.
  7. Ok, ok, loving the Taliaferro pick at RB. (Clapping) Exhale baby!
  8. If Wagner has improved in the off season and the Ravens are not telling us yet, I would understand the moves we made. Heck, I even changed my mind on the Gilmore pick and was liking all 4 picks after doing research and then we got a DT at 134 and I fell on the floor ... help !
  9. According to NFL, the Ravens are one of 6 teams to pass with flying colors on the draft so far. That goes to show many people lack understanding on what is going on, including me. I`ll trust in OZ of course but still ... ya know ? lol Here is NFL link on rating teams so far. - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000349134/article/2014-nfl-draft-second-day-quicksnap-grades-for-all-32-teams
  10. My favorite OT Morgan Moses went to Redskins. We`ll see him in the Beltway classic and hopefully we made the right move cause my Redskins friends will never let it go if Moses turns out to be a great pro. Pick is at 67, we got a pick coming up on 79, please pick someone so I can rub it in my Redskins friends face. lol
  11. I know eventually all the needs will be filled by time training camp opens or by the time the season starts. I am not questioning the experts. I am just a fan who has been spoiled by years of success by the Ravens and would love to see needs be picked by highly rated players is all. I believe in Oz but am entitled as a fan to be disappointed from time to time. I believe the picks we made may mean we will lose some defensive players by trade or cutting, freeing cap room and sign a free agent OT with experience. Who knows what the thinking is but no matter what, I root Purple every game and will do so forever.
  12. That was a shocker, was hoping for Moses but I guess that was a BPA again. We`ll see how this one pans out, still more picks to go so I`ll wait to see who we will get the next few times.
  13. Wow, Moses still not taken.
  14. Morgan Moses as an OT is still available ?
  15. It is so funny watching fans of the other teams looking all confused when their team makes a draft selection.
  16. Ok, (clapping hands), just got on board. Who is left that we might grab in round 2 ?
  17. That's all folks. Get your beauty sleep. Got more coming tomorrow. Hopefully get a safety to pair with Elam. Good day today. Go Ravens !
  18. If Manziel starts, he`ll be facing the Steelers, Saints and Ravens first three games. Ravens and Steelers 3 times in first 5 games. That kid better run fast cause we are gonna be gunning after Johnny football. I bet he won't be waving the dollar and autographs signs by time Ravens are done with him. Am so happy the Browns got him, gonna be fun watching those games.
  19. Hoo boy, I bet Sizzle and Doom are licking their chops right now dreaming of going after Manziel playing for the Browns twice a year. lol
  20. I like this pick, a lot of upsides and can easily get a little bigger and better. Good move by the Ravens. Welcome to the Ravens CJ Mosley.
