  1. I understand your point but I think keeping #99 will keep Warren's name in the news over and over in a bad way for years to come. Get rid of it and his name won't be mentioned as much and eventually we all move on. He can keep his ego if he does not want to be honored.
  2. Here was Warren's chance to shine a little brighter by being honored and instead choose to be rude and ungrateful. I hope Jernigan changes the number to a number we can all appreciate because Warren just ruined #99 by being childish and unprofessional and therefore not worthy of the honor of wearing #99 in his name. Am sure plenty of other numbers can be worn with honor and appreciation.
  3. I am very happy for Peyton Manning. I think he will retire and walk away like Ray Lewis did. He is just holding off the announcement so his teammates can bask in glory. How about that Denver's defense? Awesome to watch them shut down Cam. Reminds me of first Ravens Super Bowl win. Was glad to see that Denver shut down Cam all game and we did not have to watch and cringe every time Cam does his signature 1st down/touchdown moves. Congrats to Denver, well done and earned. Maybe it's our turn next year? I hope so.
  4. I am going to root for Peyton Manning as this likely will be his last hurrah. Why would I root for Peyton Manning? Because he is the consummate professional on and off the field. Remember the Miracle Mile? What did Peyton Manning do? He patiently waited two hours with his wife and son in another room while Ray Lewis was chatting with media as well as celebrating with teammates. When Ray Lewis was done, Manning was there to congratulate Ray Lewis. That's a real man, handling a devastating lost better than most of us would. How many people in this whole wide world would wait 2 hours with their family to personally wish the best to a man who yanked the rug out from under him on a path to Super Bowl? I truly hope Peyton Manning goes out the way Ray Lewis did, he deserves it. For one day, Peyton Manning it is, I'll be cheering for the Broncos.
  5. I am one of those who likes things to stay the same to keep life simplified. It too drove me a little exasperated that changes were made and I had to fumble my way around to find out which is what. I don't like having to go to forum to sign in, I liked the sign in the way it was, on upper right no matter which page I was on. However, I do like that we can reply right away from article instead of having to click to forum like the past. Just keep the pluses/negs on both article/forum and bring back sign in to upper right on any page along with the new reply section on article and I will be happy. By the way, congrats to Ray Lewis on being part of the Super Bowl 50 Golden team. He earned it the hard way, am so proud of the man he became while spending 17 plus years with the Ravens. It was a blessing to watch and cheer for the greatest linebacker in NFL history. Thank you Ray for all you have done for Baltimore.
  6. Sorry to be off topic but what happen to design of comment sections? There is no ratings of plus/neg. I love the old look, oh well, I guess we'll just have to get used to it over time. Oh, yeah, don't make Yanda mad, I have seen him bullied 300 lbs men around like rag dolls.
  7. Congrats to Dumervil and other Ravens players for making the Pro Bowl, all deserving without a doubt. I for one will be watching, the Pro Bowlers deserve a vacation and have fun after working hard all year. Pro Bowl is entertainment for deserving players, those who want Pro Bowl games to be played with "meanness" as if it is the playoffs is missing the point and purpose of Pro Bowl games. Have fun guys.
  8. Yes, I concur, it was a GREAT DAY!!!! I was cheering for Broncos as if the Ravens were playing. My hands were still a little "stingy" this morning from clapping so hard for so long after the Broncos won. I am now at peace since #12 was knocked around and finally knocked out of playoffs after deflategate debacle. I dreamt this day all year, just patiently waiting for #12's season to come crashing down. WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!! Amen!!!
  9. Love it when someone does not care what people thinks and just wants to have fun in a good day. My kind of people to hang with. Nice moves John. lol
  10. Vote for Ravens fan John “Havok” Adkins. He is in 4th place with only 9% of vote. We can do better than that. Takes less than a minute to support your fellow Ravens fan. http://fansided.com/fansided-fan-of-the-year-finalists/
  11. Best wishes for Flacco's recovery and SSS on being candidate for Walter Payton Man Of Year award.
  12. I love watching Daryl Smith play, pure hard nose football. I know he does not get much media attention but every Ravens fan I know thinks highly of Daryl Smith. Just because he does not get a whole lot of media attention does not mean Ravens fans forgot who he is and what he has done. We appreciate D.Smith for his hard nose style of football.
  13. Two thumbs up to those two Browns fans laughing. Sometimes, when losing happens so much, there is only one recourse left, laugh it off before you lose your mind. lol
  14. The more humor in my life, the better. I love humor, as long as done with good taste. The Elite Rainbow was pretty cool. The gif of block field goal cracks me up, had me laughing. Love the western photo of Urban and Hill as Block Cassidy and the Kick Six Kid. Watching Ravens Games, I understand that one all too well. Thanks for a few chuckles, keep'em coming.
  15. That poor girl, she was probably saying "DON"T, I paid a lot of money to buy that for you" The Browns fans reactions in end zone after Will Hill scored was priceless to see. I don't feel bad for the Browns fans at all, not after the way they treated Art Modell's name during his passing and HOF process.
  16. Where did I mention about the Jags? If you look at my post from that game, it was more about the Ravens players waiting for the clock to wind down rather than being prepared to play another down as if there was enough time. I never once mentioned about that non-call in Jags game. The Jags were not set by a fraction of a second. Refs don't have time to break it down frame by frame during game speed. This isn't hypocrisy or homerism, it's a fact of life that NFL referees has to determined what is flagrant enough to throw a flag or what isn't. No human being can ref an NFL game perfectly, it's impossible with today's frame by frame replays. Comparing the Jags last play to Levine's hand is laughable.
  17. Levine's head and body was back far enough behind neutral zone that a hand barely over the neutral zone really has no effect. A ref is not going to throw a flag over that because it was not flagrant enough. How about talking about the Brown's kicker kicking too low or the ability of Urban to bully his way to blocking the kick. One weekend, people want the refs to lay off on nit picking calls, the next weekend, they want the refs to throw the flag on every nit picking foul, there is just no pleasing people either way. Win some, lose some, get over it.
  18. Browns fans complaining about no flags thrown on play, am loving this, claiming kicker Coons was blocked in the back by Trawick, when in fact Coons ran in front of Trawick, simply a collusion of forward motions instead of an attempted illegal block. Beside, Levine or Brooks would have flatten Coons anyway had Trawick not touch Coons. What Trawick did was legal and smart, forward motion that could not be stopped within reason and the refs knows that and that is why there was no flags.
  19. What's that? Ah ..... draft? Don't talk about ..... draft? You kidding me? Draft? We just won a game in thrilling fashion against a city who hates us and you wanna talk about .... draft? (Rolls over eyes and sighs)
  20. I agree this win beats having a #1 pick which is not always a guaranteed success, especially against a city that truly hates us. Art Modell is up there on cloud nine and dancing after HOF snub by Cleveland reporters.
  21. Sad to see some fans does not know how to handle the bad with the good. I will admit I am not enjoying the Ravens seasons this year but the last thing I will do is throw anyone associated with the Ravens under the bus because of one bad year. It's not like we been getting blown out every game and teams still respect the Ravens. I still wear my Ravens hat/shirts in NC despite getting "that look" from Panthers fans basking in an undefeated season. Let them have their fun. We had ours and we WILL have fun again. The way to look at life is be thankful we are not fans of as many as 13 teams who never won a Super Bowl, many fans have endured several losing seasons and yet still support their teams. We should learn from them about loyalty, even during losing seasons. There is beauty in that. There are so many millions of people who does not know what life is like as a Ravens fan. Talk about the team during off-season, getting excited during drafting and pre-season. Going wild over wins and waking up Monday in a bad mood after a lost. That's beauty. Be grateful the professionals from the Ravens provided that for us, win or lose. It sure is better than being without an NFL football team for 13 years. I rather have a team I love, even during a badly losing season than to endure another year without a team. Go Ravens! Wearing purple gear to Walmart in NC and not have a care in the world what anyone thinks is a good feeling, enjoy it, life could be much worse.
  22. I miss the game today. Got home and saw on NFL channel how the Ravens lost, I was shocked to see how the Jags manage to get a snap off basically just before it hit zero with Ravens defenders in disarray, some looked like they were walking off the field and then a facemask with no time left. I can only shrug at what happened as I am past getting upset anymore this year. It's one of those things where stuff happens. sigh.
  23. Of course, Flacco is pretty good and makes Harbaugh's job easier. You have to also give Harbaugh credit to helping provide an atmosphere for Flacco to grow and get better. You can use whatever argument you want also. I still stand by my opinions. Billick's final year as Vikings OC, a year he had Randall Cunningham, Hall of Famer Cris Carter and Randy Moss is what landed him a Ravens coaching job. A debate on if Flacco would win a Super Bowl during Boller years with Billick as head coach is something we'll never know and as such, will leave it at that.
  24. Am glad we have Givens on the Ravens team. Looking forward to seeing him get more balls thrown his way and see what happens. Hopefully he will be one of our future WRs if everything works out. Wish him the best of luck.
  25. I truly enjoyed watching him play during those years. I love it that he has a kind and good heart off the field. A great role model for kids to follow on doing right. Thank you for those years playing for the Ravens and best wishes in the future.
