He also mentioned that in his presser.

His hometown outside of Milwaukee is about a 6 hour drive, or a 1 hour flight from Detroit. Not as close as Chicago would have been, but I guess he can afford it now.

Lol.  He could buy himself a nice small lear jet.

I haven't noticed anyone speaking out against that pick.  yea it sucks he got injured but the guy is a freak athlete, im excited to see him play.

Yeah, me too. His size and athleticism make him a potential game changer.

Meh. Not sure why it's sad. He is no longer a good saftey/corner. His speed is gone, and he's a second too late on nearly every play. Should have been released last offseason. This is football. He's not serving a life sentence.

Actually last year at safety was his best contribution in the last 4 to 5 years and he kinda saved their butts stepping in.  That said, His $ just don't match up with his value at this point. May not happen but I wouldn't be surprised if they bring him back.

    Hi @Edgar,

I'm not sure if you are aware, but we launched a Ravens podcast -- The Lounge -- at the beginning of the season. Our writers, Ryan Mink and Garrett Downing, share their thoughts and often sit down and chat with players and other guests. The 47th episode was posted yesterday.

Check it out on iTunes, Soundcloud or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

It would seem that the idea was for an outlet for the fans, not just a podcast.

Seems as though the ones responsible for media distribution and promo are well disconnected from the very fan base that are supposed to be their customers.

I don't think we're serious contenders for Alshon or Pryor, each wants 10mil/year (minimum). Garcon might still be an option, but all the news I've seen about him has been that the Niners are making a serious run for him (via Rapoport)

Yeah, I'm sure no Pryor or Jeffries. Garcon makes sense and if their offer is competitive(if they even are making an offer) with SF maybe staying in the area could be a sell for the Ravens.

Cool, we will see what happens when FA starts. But in a market where most teams have a lot of cap and the FA class isn't very good, would not surprise me one bit to see some crazy deals come out of this FA class. Even forum mock prices are crazier than usual with the previous record bid being shattered.

They could get paid and leave, sure. No great revelation.......just sayin.

They have waited too long for sure, but it's never too late to protect your aging qb lol. I don't think effort was the issue either. McKinney always had an elite ceiling and we risked the drama to bring him on and it was a big boost towards a SB, Monroe was a blockbuster move that failed miserably because he just sucked as a person, Gino gradkowski was promising but we moved on from that asap and signed a respectable veteran at center who has gotten hurt, we've made moves but we've also lucked out with guys like Wagner and Lewis.

This also could be all for nothing because for all we know Lewis is their guy and he could blow Wagner out of the water at RT, and we could make a play for a monster of a RG like feeney or a C like elflein or pocic.

Yeah, the Pothead Fisherman screwed us big time and it had a dominoe effect on many levels. Still carrying dead money from that debacle.

i am a big jernigan fan, when he is playing hot it is a sight to see, he demolishes blockers, he is such a bully the way he just shoves guys back and tosses them to the side, and he moves incredibly well and has gotten better each season in all of those regards, BUT he always has been inconsistent, to the point that he totally disappears. for a good 6-8 weeks of the season he looks unblockable, and its usually all combined in one long stretch of dominance, and then he is nonexistent for the rest of the year.

on the other hand, we have never kept a solid line together for joe, he cant keep the same starting 5 for an 8 week stretch let alone 2 years in a row. wagner is undoubtedly a starting RT and a high end one who will keep the qb upright. if it comes down to wagner, williams, or jernigan, i want the money going to wagner.

They've waited too long already IMO, but the time has come to solidify the O line with young studs. Stanley, Lewis and Wagner would be a great trio to lock down for their careers, and find a mauler at center.  What worries me is Yanda and his health. At 32 the nicks are going to mount and obviously he will be hard to replace.
