Actually, you do agree with me.

I don't think most guys magically transform into better players once they step on the field. They are either good or not. Now, an adrenaline rush is capable of allowing people to do some amazing things, but it is short lived and a once in a life time thing. A player can't live off of an adrenaline rush.

But in the rare cases where people get amped up for a game it can be a help or a hindrance.

You say sometimes better and sometimes worse. I say it isn't common that a player plays better in live game action that he does anywhere else....so you're agreeing with me. If it only happens SOMETIMES and then part of those time is it also worse, then my point of it not being common remains true.

I'm not suggesting one player is sometimes better or worse. I'm saying that there are players that may not be stromg performers in practice, but consistently excel in game action. Conversely there also are "practice heroes" that suck when they get in the game.

I've played too and I don't think it is as common as you seem to think. I buy more into that some guys practice better than they play and vice-versa. But you are either fast or you aren't. You are either twitch quick or you aren't. You are either strong or you aren't.

I have to disagree with this. Live bullets often make guys perform way differently, sometimes better, sometimes worse.

On a side note about Bronson Kaufusi there is an interesting nickname for him that clearly dates myself and he might not actually like given his religious beliefs but...

The most popular Bronson I know is Charles Bronson who was in many movies but might be best known for the series of Death Wish flicks he did.

"Death Wish" Kafusi playing next to "Hacksaw/Darth Sizzle" Suggs.

Here's to hoping that Bronson can be part of a "Magnificent Front Seven."

I'm thinking The Mad Stork 2.

That is exactly what transpired. It was clearly a collusion between Joe Flacco and Pitta so he earns back all those incentives even if at the cost of games. That is what makes me angry about this signing. Joe is regressing as a QB and Pitta is a catalyst that accelerates that regression. Unless Flacco's is given instructions on every play, we are going to be in bad shape. I think he needs to be given no ore than 2 options in his ear before every single play and not more. I don't think Flacco is smart enough to handle extensive progressions and see the entire field in the face of pressure. So simplify the game for him coordinators.

    You are kidding.........right?

LOL.  I have been a Redskins fan since '71 and over the past 4-5 years have been warming to the Ravens.  These last few weeks have been the final straw with Daniel Snyder and I have decided to move my support to the Ravens.  Not exactly an easy decision.

So I found this board and registered, only to learn that it is shutting down.  I'm not having a good week.

lol.....Welcome Dave. I grew up a Colts, Os fan in Skins country, so I know first hand you have made the right move!

The reason why sites like this close down  due to lack of people is very simple. It is because a lot of people who come

to these sites to read and try to get into discussion are always put down by the very FEW and SAME people that always dominate

and act as if their opinion is the only one that matters. If you disagree with them you get talked about and ridiculed as if

you didn't know a thing about football.... And lord forbid if you say one wrong thing about the Ravens. It is either you

just agree with everything and anything the same 5 or 6 people say that act as if they own the site or say nothing.

This was basically the same thing I read on the Scout Forum a while back as well.  They would say that the place

became a ghost town and wondered why. It was the same reason. A few know it alls that spoiled it for everyone else.

So it has nothing to do with advertising, more exposure, etc. ...it has to do with allowing the same very few people dominate

everything with their opinions get away with it and drive everyone else away. That is what happens to these sites. It is as if

these people have no life and have to voice their opinion on every single subject that comes up. And as stated always act as if

their opinion is the best and only one.

I used to sit in seats at Ravens stadium that were adjacent to a lone seat  that wasn't owned by a PSL. The best thing

that happened was that a lot of times it usually sold on game day to an opposing fan. At first that seemed like a bad thing...

but eventually I learned that I got better insight and talk from someone with a different opinion about not only their team

but the Ravens as well because they weren't biased and gave opinions that were way different then a purple kool-aid

drinking Ravens fan. So eventually I hoped that the person buying the seat would be someone from the other team as I had

better conversation and friendly rivalry with them.

These sites block those kind of people. They only allow Ravens fans and set up so many rules about what you can say or

not say that after a while it sounds like a Leave It To Beaver TV Show. "Golly gee Wally the R avens are really neat" .. "Yeah,

I know Beave" ... But let Eddie Haskell show up and it all goes down hill and he is told to go home.....

Hopefully, someone opens a site where people can voice their opinions good or bad and stop the few no-it-alls that dominate

    and ruin them.

I think your basic reasoning may be correct, but it would seem that the trend of posts by "the same very few people" has been the opposite of what you describe, rather a constant negativity instead of the "golly gee the Ravens are neat" postings. For the past year or two there has been a core of folks that ridicule and bash anyone that dares to show optimism for a struggling player or unit, often labeling such posters as "homers", as if that should be a terrible thing.

So if your looking for a reason for decreased traffic, IMO the ones that have left, stopped posting or just don't join are turned of by the negativity and pessimism, not the lack of respectful and intelligent conversation of opinions, good or bad.

i meant it more in terms of its more likely brady longevity is so ridiculous that they cant even hold on to garropolo because brady is still the best in the league and knowing his superhuman self-care of his body will probably be an adonis for years to come

i feel like a jets fan waiting for his reign over the AFC east to end yet in my heart feeling like brady will be a quality patriot in perpetuity - when will this nightmare end? lol

and for the record i think garropolo is going to be a good qb and has shown as much in his limited outings (not anything like brock at all) but that it wont be for the pats unless brady picks up a career-ending injury next year which i suspect is unlikely and as much as i dislike him as a person i would never wish that on anyone

lol....your opinion of Brady's talent and role with the pats is much different from mine.
