You are asking almost the impossible.  So you get drafted and don't succeed with your first team.  The possibility of anyone giving you a 2nd chance to be groomed like your first team is slim to none.

I can list you all the WR we drafted since Joe was drafted and you can name me how many of those WRs actually broke 1000 yards.   Fair?

    Justin Harper

    Marcus Smith

    David Reed

    Tandon Doss

    Torrey Smith

    Tommy Streeter

    Aaron Mallette

    Michael Campanaro

    Darren Waller

    Breshad Perriman

LMAO!  So not only did these guys not succeed in Bmore because of Flacco, he also made them suck so bad that they couldn't succeed with another team. 'Cmon man! Even you can't rationalize some pooh like that.  You are just too much!

History says our QB cant build rapport with young receivers.  We tried it every year and none of them panned out.   You can draft another 1st rounder or 2nd rounder, but dont expect anything out of it.

The more reliable option is in the FA with Flacco.   We need another receiver that is polished and ready to go like SSS/Boldin/D.Mason in the past.

History says that no matter what the issue is you will blame Flacco.   lol

Name one young receiver that didn't pan out here, but then went on to succeed with another QB.

  3. The "B" and flag shield are both cool and look great as uni patches, but I don't think either fit for a helmet. The present bird head is the right shape, a classic and remember that logo is on two SB rings. I don't see it changing, but matte black could happen.

It also isn't easy to find  young or safety in general that are able to   play that true center fielder role at free safety which is something Webb was capable of doing last year.

I wouldn't be surprised if his "release" was similar to the Justin Forsett deal a couple of years ago.

This and the way teams are using safeties now it's  probably mandatory for the number 3 safety to be ready to start right away and often. . Duron Harmon was The Patriots back up safety and got a 4 year deal and saw like 500 snaps on defense. If Webb who was rated as the 15th best safety last year is due for just as many snaps or more than Harmon then this is a reasonable deal

Being a long time player on the team is worth something as well. Not necessarily for a "loyalty credit", but knowing the system well, no learning curve.

I hate the matte black on the Jaguars helmet, but maybe it is because their helmets look like they were in the body shop fixing front end damage. It looks like their game started before the black primer could be wet sanded and the rest of the gold lacquer applied.

Good description.  lol   They do look like pooh.

  7. I like Perriman as #1 on my list here. It seems he has the heart, desire and football smarts to be a good one. Just needs to stay healthy long enough to get acclimated to the NFL. And lose the board hands of course.

Correa has to be the guy on D. He's just turning 23 and had to learn a bunch last year. I look for the Tasmanian devil type performances from KC.   lol

Tavon isn't just short though, he's a little guy in general. Those guys for the most part are short but still broad, young plays the ball well against guys big and little, but the size thing showed up when he tried to tackle dez and got rolled 10 yards downfield into the end zone. That wasn't a ballskills and height thing, that was him just being too little in general.

IDK.......Dez has rolled over guys much bigger than Tavon, he's a pretty powerful runner. I think more often than not Young showed he's a sure tackler and can hold his own even when up against much larger players. I'd actually say that he has already proven to be better than our #1 in that regard.

Agree though that his small stature will be a disadvantage at times, but could also be an advantage as he is much quicker and nimble than the prototypical tall guy corner.

Did you not watch Webb last year?  He was a quality starter who made a huge difference for us.  He might not have been a playmaker but he played smart, solid football.  Getting him back as depth is a no brainer.

Yeah, last year was his best, most consistent contribution since 2011. Would great to have him back.

Wasn't playing up to par yet get rewarded with the highest nt deal in history.

I think he was probably nicked amd continued to play but issue wasn't publicized, just like happened with Haloti. Many said Haloti "took plays off" when in fact he was just playing through injuries and unable to perform at 100%.
