this is the best thing we've ever done on offense since the last super bowl
Just to paraphrase what you said, this is the best thing we've done for the offense since drafting Joe Flacco!
Joe played one of the best games you will ever see out of a QB. Jacoby was great, but Flacco was better.
.............and many more to come!
It would have been MVP worthy, only Flacco was even more spectacular. Couldn't have done it without either of those two.
yep
It was widely talked about that Jones was just as, if not more deserving than Flacco. Its okay, I have no agenda to belittle Joe, just sharing an opinion. First response was deleted, so hopefully this one sticks long enough for you to see it
Yeah, even the announcers talked a lot about Jacoby's performance being MVP worthy. Hard not to include him in the conversation. Joe had a great game as well, and it seems that most of the time it is a QB that gets the SB MVP.
Tie goes to the QB!
Not a huge fan of former head coaches hired in specialist roles, mainly because it's always a short term bandaid solution.
I hear ya, but given Kubiak's recent health concerns and his tone at the press conference, it seems, at least for the present, he is much more comfortable as an OC than a head coach.
Very happy with how this turned out. A bit shocked to see Dennison as QB coach, but hey, it'll be aight. He's been around a long time and Kubiak is there to have it his way.
I think it will be that Kubiak is the one who works the most with Joe. He mentioned multiple times that he was thrilled to be able to teach again.
Exactly. It's more about Kubiak and Dennison being able to continue to work together.
and concentrate solely on offense. Sounds like a winner to me!
If you're listening, he's really ducking the question. This just seems like it was a mess behind the scenes.
You come to some awfully presumptive conclusions. It's more like things are in a state of flux rather than any "scandelous" mess behind the scenes.
Why must everything have a negative spin...........damn.
Sounds like Dennison is really the assistant OC rather than a QB coach.
Well, well, we are a stealthy organization. Great news!
He should. Or else he should look at himself for extending Harbaugh twice and making him one of the highest paid coaches in the league - if he is just a 'figurehead'. The Harbaugh bashing is sometimes unbelieveable and some of the buddy rhetoric makes you wonder if people realize what they say... I bet if Kubiak/Dennison/Shanahan doesn't work out, he'll be accused of being John Harbaugh's buddy, too, a few years down the road.
Same thing with the 'doghouse' crap.
Again, I don't believe any of it.
Exactly. All of that crap is nothing more than BS fabricated by people that don't like Harbs.
It's called math, with a good helping of logic.
I'm hoping the whole trifecta is part of Kubiak's terms. We could have a good offensive coaching staff for the first time in franchise history.
Yep. And we would then need an O line that could execute the plans of those guys. Scary good thoughts!!!
I understand the obvious math and logic, but hope, for the sake of the offense and STs, that something is worked out.
The majority of players will follow the money. He's likely to do that after a revival here in Baltimore.
He is a marginal talent, but this is about the coaches, not Jacoby. Take that to the Jacoby thread.
Thanks for the tip, but I'll post as I see fit.
I doubt friction between him and Kubiak would drive him out, but there is a chance someone will throw funny money at him. Calling him "marginal" is silly and a thought best suited for the Fantasy boards.
Jacoby was gone anyway. We don't have the money to keep such a marginal talent around when he'll want a larger contract.
Where do you get your info? I hadn't heard that he wanted "a larger contract"? ![]()
Marginal talent? haha
Ian Rappaport said this morning that Kubiak didn't choose Cleveland because he wanted a 'pseudo HC' role. That's the only thing that perks my interest on the matter. He just needs to know he's not the HC, and he'll need to know his role concretely. I don't think that should be much of an issue, because I don't think Harbaugh will allow him to be like his equal on the staff. He'll need to know he works under Harbaugh, not on the same level.
That report sounds like he was just giving a PC response. I doubt he expects that coming to the Ravens.
well, this is the guy who's basic motto is "Got Asbestosis?"
I was done with him when he let Mussina walk.
This may have been the plan for weeks.......... Kubiak turns down the brownies and the interviews have been for his staff.
Hey!! don't diss the Greek
scum bag....... ![]()
Stevie B is definitely willing to pay the money for that type of coaching staff. Hope it's true...
yep. unlike that scum bag attorney in your profile pic! haha
Schefter on espn....."Ravens had a stealth meeting in Baltimore yesterday with Kubiak and Dennison........." This really might happen!
I'm not believing anything until an announcement is made. This makes sense though, Biscotti is not cheap and demands excellence. I hope this scenario pans out.
Next the NFL will come up with a salary cap for hiring coaches!
I hope it is Kyle. He'll have something to prove after being associated with that dysfunctional org know as the deadskins.
First down!
It's a little irrational I know, but I feel like he'd be acting as a spy.
LMAO! Kinda the opposite of what I was thinking, but OK.

All good moves. But this I think will have a much greater and lasting impact, much like drafting Flacco.
