  1. Yeah, considering the nature of his condition it's unquestionably the most fortunate thing that could have happened. Thank God the injury didn't permanently disable him.
  2. The whining has always been pathetic and he's never been able to weather pressure. Seems kinda silly to me that he is ever included in any conversations about the GOAT. While he's a good QB at times and has been on teams that have won SBs, he's not even close to being the best of his era let alone all time.
  3. I think the late game defense would be better described as "bent and broken". lol
  4. lol.....Not sure where the argument is, so OK. You've taken what I said completely out of context as it was a convo about Ben's crappy performance lately, not the over all quality of KC's defense. Like I mentioned it was a "bend but don't break" unit. Bye the bye.......I'd keep the Ravens' D on Christmas Day, until the 4th quarter.
  5. Yep, porous. While they did stiffen in the red zone all year they gave up tons of yards, which was the point of my post in speaking about Ben. http://www.footballdb.com/stats/teamstat.html?group=D&cat=T
  6. Don't kid yourself. Hoodie knows full and well what he is talking about and undoubtedly despises the use of any social media in the locker room.
  7. l hope "he's fine" enough to float a few out there for Brown and keep the D honest to not allow them stack the box to stop Bell, because that's the only chance they have. This ain't the Chiefs porous defense they will be playing and FGs ain't gonna cut it. Anyone objective observer watching the past nine weeks can see they have won in spite of Ben's mediocre play, including Christmas Day. Bell and Brown are the reasons they are where they are, certainly has little to do with him. Maybe they can squeak out another one against the patsies, I sure hope so. But that would be the end right there as they would have no chance against GB/Atlanta. blah, blah, blah.......lol
  8. armamentarium.....oh my. lol Not sure why you are trying to compare Flacco's play to Rogers then Talking about "deficiencies". No QB in the NFL compares to Rogers, he is simply the best. But guess what, without adequate protection and his receivers making catches he's not so great. It's really not rocket science. You mention not being able to pay the needed players because "the QB is making all the money". You may want to look at the cap hits of most franchise QBs in the NFL and rethink the erroneous assumptions that faulty logic leads to. http://overthecap.com/position/quarterback/2016/
  9. To be frank I'd much rather see the squealers go. Either won will lose to GB/Atlanta.
  10. Yeah, especially against those great defensive efforts, huh. Secondary play was pitiful on both sides. Looked like a college game. Guessing what the Ravens brass noticed most was how having offensive weapons and great O line play can produce results. I think they probably already knew how talented Rogers and Prescott are.
  11. Flacco is a couple of playmakers away from returning to form. His mechanics and mental state were in disarray for much of this season which is completely understandable considering the knee injury. Ravens need to get a couple of impact guys going(Dixon, Perriman maybe?, FA, draft pick) fix the O line and all will be good. When that happens many here will eat their words. If you can't see the lack of consistent O line play, receiving and run talent that has existed since 2013 then you aren't watching the Ravens play.
  12. We had RR and surely weren't going to take an RB in the 2nd round in 2013. Shazier? I think we took CJ instead. Like I said, other teams seem to find these hidden gems at WR in later rounds and the Ravens have failed at that. But they have done pretty well at D line and LB.
  13. Just to repeat what some have said....... The commercials don't help, but that wouldn't deter me at all if the quality of play was what it should be. I mean look at the PO games.......just terrible football. Even the best one so far, GB Dallas was sub par, like college ball. ONE FREAKING PUNT? It would seem that all of the restrictions in place per the CBA have really taken their toll on developing skills and team play. It's also gotten to the point where the refs are just terrible. Even the ones that are supposed to be the "best" just plain suck. Gotta be fixed, and not just by more cameras, they need better qualified people, whatever that may look like. And the bias towards a few teams has to end. It's ruined the game and constantly brings the integrity of a level, fair playing field into question. The NFL is definitely on a downward spiral and I'm not sure there is any sort of quick fix, or any fix a tall. They, both owners and players, have put profit above fair play, quality of play and it's ruined the game.
  14. I agree about the WRs. Seems that every successful team has a couple of late round guys that if nothing else are sure handed and run routes. We're missing the mark there. But RB? Elliot and Bell were both high picks, so......
  15. "For those of us that have watched......." blah, blah, blah. I was at the first game he played in 2004 and have watched him enough over the years to know when he is playing well and when he's not. If it were not for Brown and Bell it would have been the Ravens(as bad as they were this year) beating KC yesterday. Ben's play has been mediocre at best.
  16. Don't get me wrong because I hope they kill the patsies, but Ben has really sucked and no TDs is hardly clicking.
  17. Only solace here is whichever AFC team goes to the SB they will get smoked. Problem is we will have to hear about them for two freakin weeks! Time to ignore football and watch hockey and soccer.
  18. Not hardly. Did you watch the game yesterday? He sucks.
  19. This game is bad.
  20. No question, but looked more like college games than pro. No D at all. ONE PUNT in the GB Dallas game.
  21. Anyone thinking Flacco sucks must think Ben shouldn't even be in the league. He has been turrible.
