  1. Saw the same but didn't break out in laughter, just a smirk. I had the thought that Joe is excited that Jacoby has improved and is on the field with him. Pretty cool to see a 7th year receiver develop into something most thought he couldn't be, an everyday dependable receiving threat.
  2. Don't know what the "right price" is or will be, but I hope they find it. Starting over every year isn't the answer. Before you know it we'll be sitting here in Joe's 14th season saying "if he only had the same group for more than a year or two".
  3. Not sure how some can't see the improvement in Jacoby's game and determination. He's obviously worked very hard at improving his skills and it's starting to pay off. If not now, by season's end it will be plainly apparent that we need to keep him. But as is always the case, there's a chance someone else pays him more than we are willing to. I hope that doesn't happen because it seems that he's developing a special connection with Flacco.
  4. It's not implausible that he and Joe could have been considered co MVPs. The QB will always win a tie with this type of award.
  5. Not a blind hater, just a frustrated supporter. I had hoped he had turned the corner, but it's not just one bad game, he's dropped numerous passes and is a fumble concern every time he touches the ball. He makes bad decisions and just doesn't have good "football sense". There are reasons he went unsigned for almost two months after we released him. Tandon was resigned because we were in a bind and he has contributed as an emergency fill in. But just like David Reed he can't be trusted and I doubt that he is on next year's roster.
  6. Despite his shortcomings, Dragonfly is a TD waiting to happen whenever he steps on the field.
  7. Tandon is only here as a band aid. We cut him and "surprisingly" he was still available when we were down to 3 healthy receivers. It was looking like maybe he had an epiphany after his vacation, but unfortunately it's looking more like he is who we thought he was.
  8. I guess him getting benched Sunday didn't convince you.
  9. Well, I seem to disagree with you here on both counts. Jacoby had an opportunity this year to step up and be an everyday receiver and worked hard to improve. That effort was kind of short circuited by Trawick. He's definitely now being used in more short and intermediate routes and has been effective. He does still have some issues, but I think he still has more than what we have seen. No need to expound on his kick return abilities, he's one of the best. I hear you concerning keeping younger players, but 29 is hardly over the hill. Doss is another player(think David Reed) that has tons of ability, but lacks good football instincts. He's an accident waiting to happen. We didn't cut him for nothing(in his 3rd season?) and he's only on this Team because of injuries. I could be completely wrong about both, I don't know. It did happen once 6 or 7 years ago.
  10. Pitta has definitely been a key missing piece. Not having a dependable TE makes it much more difficult for the WR to find space. JJ has improved and I think his ceiling may be a little higher than most here believe. At the right price, we need to keep him. Torrey and Marlon will be here, but I'm not so sure about Doss. While showing some value in the return game, he's proving to be who he was prior to being cut. To go along with his butta fingers, he just doesn't seem to have good football sense, if you get my meaning.
  11. Maybe not a popular opinion, but I hope we find a way to keep him. It seems that he and Joe are developing a connection and not just on the long ball. We've got to stop the WR revolving door for a couple of years and gain some stability in the passing game. Dragonfly is THE X Factor on this squad.
  12. I sure hope he retires. It's hard to watch a vet that holds on too long, especially a Raven. You got a sweet payday for "playing" 5 games. just retire Ed.
  13. Davis is always a breath of fresh air in the stinky room of NFL analysts.
  14. Hopefully no one picks him up, he decides to retire and we sign him for a day to retire a Raven. The only other possibility of him providing help to this org is as a coach.
  15. 10 4
  16. Ed was done, and the Ravens FO knew it. I'm sure they had no problem with him getting another pay day that he wasn't getting here. Reed is a first ballot HOF and there's no questioning that he should retire a Raven. Todd Heap was going to be released. His family and home are in Arizona. He was not chasing money. Maybe not a Ravens retiree, but most definitely a core Raven. Mason played the majority of his career with the titans. I agree that he is not a "core Raven".
  17. I like it! But I think the more likely scenario is that we sign him for a day to retire a Raven
  18. I know....... I don't wear it, but don't want to just throw it away.
  19. So, what do we do with them? lol
  20. I have a Baltimore Browns T shirt that's never been worn. Pretty much no to a throwback jersey.
  21. Good quote from Rosenthal on NFL,com; "Newsome knows that popular decisions usually aren't the right ones."
  22. To be fair, our O line pretty much sucked until we were able to move KO into his spot. Losing Grubbs did create some issues.
  23. You can speculate on the merit of moves made by the Ravens brass, but the fact is they know much more about personnel decisions than you or I. Blind trust? I call it depending on the subject matter experts to make the right decisions.
  24. He's doing the tough job he is paid to do. I tend to think that whatever he is doing, it's the right thing.
  25. Right, And unlike Seattle or SF we just won the SB. Adjustments will be made and we will be contending again next year.
