  1. It would be great if we could somehow resign Digs and keep him in the Flock. If nothing else, he provides depth and character to the D squad.
  2. I think it was Jacoby that negged you.
  3. How was his production based on salary when he made a total of $14 mil. during his first 5 years of all pro play? Did anyone complain then? Even though he was oft injured in 2012, he hung in and contributed when he could, playing hurt. Remember what happened when he went out in the SB? And he had a solid year playing out of position at NT last year. I think you discount his importance and performance.
  4. I doubt there is any trading down this year. Some sort of offensive player(O line, WR, TE) will taken at 17.
  5. Much like Doss, Dickson is a talented athlete with good skills, but lacks something between the ears to execute. I've always held out hope for both, but................
  6. Well, he fills a hole that we had, and fills it well. Maybe not the best sign/resign, but still a solid addition.
  7. I thought obvious trolling was a hangin' offense. not sure how hardballs remains.
  8. Puuleassse Oz, build a formidable O line!
  9. Barring an injury to someone we have, I think we are pretty much done for now with FA WRs. Too much WR talent in the draft and like you pointed out before we sorely need line depth.
  10. I can't wait for the first time Smitty plows a DB as a Raven and jumps up spitting nails! Dude is a flat out beast!
  11. Given the lack of depth at TE it would seem that we take Ebron if he is available.
  12. Agreed. The point that Jacoby lacks WR skills and technique is getting old. He made some great catches last year(not just home run balls) and played well in what was a dysfunctional offense caused by horrible O line play. He is greatly undervalued by some.
  13. ...you might want to look again, it's a 2013 pre season ranking. http://www.footballnation.com/content/nfl-cornerback-rankings-for-the-2013-season/25085/
  14. Looks like his best attribute is that he could be a good fishing buddy for Monroe.
  15. Well, it wasn't difficult to figure out who your favorite Raven is! Dragonfly is indeed the most exciting player present each and every time he steps on the field. I think most knock him for poor receiving technique, but he made great strides last year. As Harbs said, it looks like his best football is in front of him. We're fortunate to get him back.
  16. My thoughts exactly. It's pretty obvious at this point that we won't be able to compete for Mack and I'm not sure there is a suitable RT out there, so it would seem that the draft will need to supply fresh troops. And who knows, with Kubiak on board maybe Gino and Wagner shine. Whatever it is, the O line has to be fixed.
  17. Yeah, I think there has already been talk of Joe organizing workouts, but it was mentioned how difficult it might be because of everyone living in different places and having their own off season agenda. Hopefully they can coordinate and make it happen.
  18. This is a two way street and it would seem that veteran receivers would adapt much more quickly to a ball thrown by any QB. I doubt there will be any issues with Smith/Flacco.
  19. I couldn't give you exact quotes from any one person, but the idea was renewed last year when it became apparent that Webb's play was sub par(sucked) after returning from his second injury. As you say, this thought was first floated when he appeared "rusty" after returning in 2010 but he seemed to return to form rather quickly and again showed the promise of being an anchor CB, which ultimately became the case in 2011. Last year returning from the 2012 season ending injury he never really did return to form and was consistently targeted by opposing teams. You could say the thought of the move was brought up because he was slowed by his injuries and there seemed to be a need for a replacement FS, but for me that is just a nice way of saying that his play at CB sucked(which it did). The thought of moving him to FS would have never been brought up if he was playing CB at the high level that is expected of him. The hope is that he returns to form in 2014 and that he is able to remain healthy for years to come.
  20. If you haven't seen this it's worth a look. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-Sign-WR-Steve-Smith/b0036393-6872-4ceb-8cf2-67469af32d56 I wonder how long before the "ICE UP SON....ICE UP" t shirts show up.
  21. right.
  22. We not only needed a slot man, but needed an attitude refresh as well. Welcome to Bmore Smitty!!!
  23. Yeah, he's a lot better than what he is given credit for. But a telling remark came from John Ogden when he was asked about his thoughts on Oher; To paraphrase, he said he has all of the physical talent to be great, but just doesn't execute. Seems he was trying to say, in a nice way, that Oher just didn't have a good football IQ.
