  1. That's not so weird. I have three favorites as well. Bmore, the Birds an d O's hon!
  2. VT and the yanks......... I guess one out of three ain't bad.
  3. I think if anyone says they didn't think the Ravens would go O line or WR with their first couple of picks they would be lying. This year's draft further proves Oz and Co. hold true to the BPA philosophy. There may be the occasional exception, but generally it's just the way they draft.
  4. The upside is that there is still the threat of Crock catching a pass when he's in the game rather than allowing the D to cheat all in to the run. I think he may contribute right away more than you think.
  5. What's with the negative waves Moriarty? Yeah, I am making some assumptions, but I like the odds of those assumptions being correct. Both KO and Pitta are gamers, I think they will be fine. Smitty has a chip on his shoulder and will be playing like his hair is on fire.........I like that thought. Zuttah? Let's be honest, Hooty Brown would be an upgrade at C. And I think if those pieces are there and come together, The Flacco will have a career season. Call me silly, I'm an optimist to the point of reasonable assumption.
  6. Well, let's look at the reasons for offensive failure in 2013;Horrible O line play - it would seem that adding Zuttah, getting KO back and having Kubiak at the helm will go a long way in helping here. No dependable threat in the slot and at TE - Adding Smitty and Owens will help tremendously. Also, Pitta should be back to pre injury form. Having these guys healthy and playing will open up the field for Torrey, Jacoby and Marlon. Poor run game - This seems to be a question mark. Will RR return to form? Will BP stay healthy? Will Forsett shine? Better line play will help, but we need some dependability from someone. The O will look completely different with Kubiak's system. I for one am excited and think the Ravens' O will be a force to be reckoned with in 2014.
  7. bye the bye.......... nice pic!
  8. It seems kind of silly to criticize the picks so far. It wasn't the sexy thing to do, but bolstering the D was a smart move. The only question mark I see remaining is RT and hopefully Wagner pans out. If not, there's cap room left to find a suitable replacement after camp cuts. We are fine at WR with the Smiths, Jacoby and Marlon. No need to get excited. Gillmore will be an excellent complement to Pitta and Owens. Again, not a headline grabbing draft, but solid and smart.
  9. Wow, IDK....... I'm not throwing him out yet, but it's not like this was a surprise or unplanned. And I don't think he had any physical issues when he "retired", did he?
  10. Being late? No big deal....... not performing well after arriving late? well.........
  11. True, but big yards may just end up being a bye product of having what seems to be such a well rounded and talented receiving corps. It would be nice to see a solid run game as well, but that's a little iffy right now, wouldn't you say? And bite your tongue! There shall be no poor defensive play in Bmore.
  12. Well, considering Joe was just shy of 4k last year with a pitiful O line, 0 running game and a depleted receiving corps, I don't think 5k is unrealistic at all. Smitty is a beast. can't wait!
  13. eh, nothing wrong with being optimistic.
  14. Yeah, I don't see how Joe doesn't break 5k. With Smitty and The Weatherman in the Flock along with Torrey, Jacoby, Marlon and Pitta it seems that this may be the best group of receivers ever for the Ravens. And it also seems the O line should be at least respectable. Should be a wholelottafun to watch!
  15. I like this! http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-42-Oddsmakers-Set-Steve-Smiths-Receiving-Yards-Total--And-Its-High/7e237816-0295-4211-a3a0-faf3e88f50b4 Double digit TDs would be nice as well.
  16. .....except the squealers. Maybe he still has attitude issues? I just hope he doesn't explode on us next season. Seems like we still need some depth at RB(maybe more so now) and will probably address through the draft.
  17. Yeah, I read some of this stuff on wiki. He actually went undrafted and agreed "in principle" to a contract with the niners, but ultimately signed with the Titans in 2010 and ended up being cut. TB picked him up off waivers then traded him to NE last year for a 7th round pick. I was just wondering if he's not viewed as a possible everyday back for some reason or is it his attitude issues that have him moving around.
  18. It's curious that after 3 years Blount hasn't stuck anywhere. I don't know that much about him and wonder what the issue is(?).
  19. I know, and he just brushed his leg. Where's the justice? lmao.....What did Haloti get for breaking jen's nose? Now that was special!
  20. I don't think the guy was intentionally going for his knee, he kind of fell through the line. Probably surprised no one was there to block him! Intentional or not, no question it should have been an automatic 15, just like the helmet to helmet thing.
  21. That's hard to watch. Still can't believe no flag. If that had been tommy they probably would have suspended the guy.
  22. The point is that he's not a waste even he doesn't start at center. Right now and from what we know now he seems like the obvious choice, but I don't think he's a lock going into camp.
  23. I also wouldn't assume Gino is out of the picture. You never know what a year of experience might do for his play.
  24. I wouldn't assume Zuttah is being brought here to start at center or guard, probably more for depth and insurance. Who knows, maybe the change of scenery turns him into The Hulk.
  25. I think a lot of the pass coverage issues last year were magnified by the lack of a consistent pass rush. Suggs/Doom started out well, but the pass rush was disappointing most of the season, especially after the anticipation that they would live on top of opposing QBs. All in all, Elam did OK considering he was a rookie playing out of position.
