  1. Note for next years draft Ravens you need to trade up. The drafts the last 5 Years have been average at best. We need playmakers game changers. On this current roster I can not name one person who could take over a game like Lewis and Reed or on offense like Jamal Lewis or Anquan the Playmaker Boldin. We have plenty of depth now we need to draft game changers. Time to trade up Oz because trading back has put this organization back a few years.

10 games left of the regular season way, way too soon to be thinking about the draft.

  2. I guess they fired Trestman because they can't fire Perriman and Moseley. If either of those guys makes the plays pros are supposed to make, we win that game easily. You can add Hester to that pile also, who seems to have no clue how to field punts any more. Our "special" teams were a joke yesterday. If they want to fire a coach, they should fire the special teams coach. We lost 16-10 and we gave up a punt-return touchdown. The defense only gave up one touchdown all game. That's a great effort. We constantly gave up yards on punts. How do we not cut Hester? Oh that's right... we have no one else.

Firing Trestman is a great start to bettering the team.

  3. Can we stop with Flacco is Elite crap? How many TDs and picks did he throw this past Sunday?
Trestman is the fault for our run game woes resorting to sweeps and outside pitches to get yards. Opponents will start keying in on this. Next entire practice should be dedicated to running the ball inside. full pads day. Bring back the zone stretch!!

    Agreed!

  4. I need to see the media start talking about Trestman. It is as if they are purposely
avoiding the topic. The bottom line is that his offense does not look prepared going into games. There is very little adjustment, in-game. And the overall production is pedestrian. With all the weapons we have, we should be averaging over 300 yards/game and at least 3 TDs. Average.

    Agreed!

Trestman was the worst hiring and would be the best firing. Pees being put on notice wouldn't hurt any either.

I'm good with Trestman, the WR's are running solid routes, and getting open, and the running game, we have to be patient with two rookies manning the left side....The mandate to run the ball at all cost is coming from Harbs, some teams just do a good job at stopping the run....Now Pees, never been a big fan of his, and if all goes well, the Bills will continue to lose, Rex gets fired, and we can get him back, or Spags in Indy....:)

So you are good at staying at .500 per season or worse? Testman as a head-coach (2 seasons) and as an offensive coordinator (1 full season) has never performed better than .500 while in the NFL.

I believe that Rex is a defensive genius, and I have hope for years that he would return as a defensive coordinator only. But, I do not see Rex coming back to BMore.

I also forgot to state since his return from the CFL.

  7. Congrats to Ray and Janay Rice. I still think we should have kept him and not succumbed to public pressure. All the best to them!.

I would like to give you a thumbs-up, but the "internet gods" are too sensitive for that.

The Ravens organization used to be a forgiving one. People make mistakes, and far as I know Rice has only made one. A. Peterson stills has a job and I believe that his misconduct was much worse than Rice's. I still have hopes that Rice will find a new team.

  8. I don't know if there is a precedent in the NFL where a retired player's first coaching job was NFL DC or OC, without any kind of position coaching or assistant coaching experience... That would be highly, highly unlikely, even if Ray was interested - which we don't know.

Are you trying to say Lewis has no coaching experience?  If yes, that's absurd.  He might not have had a formal title of being a coach, but he has provided many lessons to fellow players, he reads offensive formations better than most OCs.  He calls better defensive plays than DCs as well.

  9. I know of a retired LB that would be just perfect for the vacated LB Coaching job. :D

I agree. But, Bisciotti previously stated upon Lewis' retirement that he does not pay his LB coaches a large salary. Lewis is current making a seven-figure salary with ESPN. However, some Defensive Coordinators do make a  seven-figure salary. Which could be appealing to Lewis. Lewis has an incredible talent for reading offensive formations, and he is even more talented at selecting proper defensive audibles.

  10. We have to take "best available" player its just how we use to roll when we were successful.....and don't waste screen ink talking about playoffs its just sad and delusional, like most of you that even still think that way........Get a grip and hope we lose out and pick up a quality player for a change(Oz will probably trade down even though we have 30 picks its how he thinks)so i'm not even going to waste time about it until draft time.....And harbs is on notice whether you like it or not he's got 1 foot out the door already....and should have!!!

I agree that "best available" method has work for the Ravens in past.  But, losing out for a draft-pick is absurd.  Who is giving Harbaugh notice, you or Bisciotti? Since 2008 Harbaugh has missed the post season twice (including this season). Just based on that stat, a person can assume that Harbaugh is a winning coach.
