Yet again we see the holes in our game planning. It's like someone went in the locker room at half time and told the Ravens that the Cowboys were supposed to win! How else do you explain getting a completely different team after half time? And don't spout this BS that the Cowboys adjusted an we didn't. If we didn't, then it happens in every single game! That means the coaching staff is at fault. I cannot remember the last time we actually played a full and complete game from start to finish. We either suck in the first half and dominate in the second, or visa versa. I still say Juan Castillo is the problem with the O-line. Has been since Harbs brought him here. How else do you explain one year under Kubiak with a spread offense that almost went to the superbowl, to the next year incapable of winning. THAT is coaching, pure and simple. We have the weapons, but we lack the coaching and leadership required to win games.
Tyrod Taylor is proving to be a better QB now than Flacco, what a shame we gave him away but I'm really happy he found a new home
Let's revisit this is January when the Ravens are in the playoffs and January Joe shows up. Yes, Flacco has had a rough start after coming back from a horrible knee injury with an inconsistent line--But, I have full confidence in Joe to turn this around. The division for once doesn't look that strong, so I think we can sneak into the playoffs. If you can get into the playoffs, it doesn't matter how you play early in the season.
pfft! I just barfed in my mouth a bit! Gimme a break! Fluke-O is scared like a little girl! And this coming from someone who has defended him year in and year out! Unless he gets his head out of his posterior and earns his keep, it's time to bench him!
On O, remember that big football field sized play-sheet that Kubiak had? Can we drag that out of whatever storage-cage it got packed in, because our O is still looking dusty and predictable with nothing to confuse opposing D's.
Kubiak took that with him to Denver. Harbs pulled out the same play sheet from Cameron and that's the one they'll continue to use until the playoff's. (Playoff's, Playoff's did you just say playoff's...)
Ha! Was just telling someone it looked like Cameron's play list yesterday!
I've been saying all season Flacco needs benched. Been catching a lot of flack over it too until yesterday. Finally other people are seeing what I have been seeing. It's a shame because I was a staunch Joe fan ever since he came to us. I've made excuse after excuse for him. That has all ceased. He is the problem now, no mistaking it. He needs to sit at least one game and feel what it's like to be in that uncomfortable position. Then coaches need to remind him that if he doesn't start playing, that's going to be his new home!
The only way we win this one is if Flacco quits being a ... soft and stays in the pocket and passes like he's supposed to! No more of this dumping it off to avoid getting hit and no more passing off the back foot!!
Yeah not getting warm fuzzies just because we are getting some guys back. If you suck, you suck. Coaching is the issue, not injuries. If you play O-line, then you play O-line. Either you know how to block or you don't. You are being paid millions, the least you could do is act like you want to earn that money! It's no wonder the NFL ratings are tanking. Between the protests and sub par play making, people are getting tired of it all. It almost seems as if some of these games are scripted. I called Manning winning the super bowl during pre-season last year. The NFL arranged it so he could retire on top, trying to make him a role model. And don't get me started on ticket prices...sheesh!
Flacco knows he is safe and not going anywhere any time soon. Raven's made a mistake in paying him $120M! I'm tired of hearing every excuse with the exception that Flacco needs to be benched for a reality check! He is afraid to get hit and it shows. Other teams know this and they work hard to make him feel he is in danger of getting plastered on every single play. They see the film, they know. Want top beat the Ravens? Make Flacco uncomfortable! It's an easy recipe for success! It's time Harbs made an example of him like he did with Trestman.
Bench Flacco!!!
Wish we could trade Joe for Torrey! Lol and people wanna bash Harbs needs to stop! Harbs isn't throwing picks so leave Harbs alone he makes mistakes but all this crap we are going through is on our QB! Look at the film!
But Harbs is the one who keeps him starting!!
There are two glaring issues, but related. Coaching is a HUGE problem! We are predictable. I can call the play before the o-line even breaks the huddle! Flacco is problem number two. He is afraid to get hit. If it looks like someone is going to get to him he dumps the ball off, if he can. He could care less. He got paid, and his attitude and play making show it! He needs benched until he can show he is willing to play, and play at the level he is being paid to play at!
Flacco needs benched. He is afraid to get hit. Watch replays. Our season is officially over. We couldn't punch through a wet paper bag!! With all the talent we have there is no excuse, none for sucking this bad. It has GOT to be COACHING!!! There is NO OTHER EXPLANATION! This game was Flacco's to give away. It's amazing how we play down to the level of our opponent!!
I have been a staunch supporter of Flacco...until this year. He seems absolutely uninterested in playing football. No sense of urgency, other than get rid of the ball so I don't get hit! He got paid, so he's done. What incentive is there for him now? Getting tired of hearing how other players need to step up. What about Flacco stepping up? If he isn't going to throw an accurate ball, then how the heck are the receivers supposed to step up?? Afraid to say it's time for a change. We had they guy for that change in Josh Johnson, but instead we chose Mallet. Not much of an upgrade!
Isn't Harbs favorite saying by committee or next man up? Tired of watching Flacco give games away. Misses wide open receivers, constantly gets sacked on 3rd and long because he refuses to toss the ball away. And what's with the casual walk to the line of scrimmage with 48 seconds left a no time outs??? Pathetic. Like normal Ravens fashion, start the game on fire and come out of halftime forgetting how to play football! We should have had their defense worn out!
Why is it every team we play seems to find the answers to their problems when they play us? Keep seeing the same defense over and over. How many 4th down conversions can we possibly let other teams have? Disgrace. These players and coaches should be embarrassed to be seen in public!
Watching last weeks game reminded me of when Trestman coached Chicago. Flacco looked like Cutler the way he was always under duress. I really questioned why they even bothered to hire him, but since I am not a coach I can't explain that decision.
Coaching staff lost this game...period! GO for two...yeah because we are so good at it. Then instead of declining a penalty to force them into a field goal, we accept it and let them get the touchdown. Really!?!?!? We SUCK at 3rd and long!!! Probably 90% of 3rd and long gets a first down. This game was ours, and we gave it away. Starting to look more and more like the 2015 team yet again. What will the excuse be this year?
Jimmy Smith just never seems to do well. Look at the film. Any large chunks of yardage came from plays tossed his way. Constantly stands 10 yards or more off the receiver. He needs to start being a corner worthy of his contract, or sit him and put someone else in. It's not like we are losing much trying new blood. They are already burning us when Smith is in.
Here's a novel idea. How about our corners stop giving guys a 10 yard lead when it's 3rd and 3? Have they ever heard of bump and run??

Been saying this for a while. I predicted a Cowboys/Patriots superbowl 2 months ago. Too many suspect plays.
