Wonder if all those guys in love with Art Brown last year are worried he won't get a chance to play until D.Smith is gone? Mosley will start over brown. It really seems like the Ravens are taking a mulligan from last years draft... Just saying.
I'd keep the expectations low... I'd be very happy if say he could put a year or two together like DMASE, the best WR we've ever had ( at least worked best in our system).
Holding onto players is cool if you're into nostalgia and not winning. Ed can probably grab a few picks at his age, but his health is seemingly questionable. Ed WAS a great player, those days have passed . He hasn't tackled well in 3-4 years and that's my biggest complaint.
Honestly ... Kind of torn with this signing. I'm not soo fond of players who turn against teammates . Smith has a history of acting out and even a bit immature at times. We're talking about a 35 y/o man.. I sort of hope he can NOT start turmoil in the locker room . Steve Smith the player , probably has some years left... Let's hope he doesn't become disenchanted ...
Doing a whole lot of judging for a , what was UDFAR who exceeded expectations. He showed he can make tough catches and has consistant hands . Much better catch radius than Torrey and was pretty polished for his experience.
Not really... Everyone plays a certain role. Brown is a young player, why would you NOT want another proven comodity in ADDITION to Marlon. Take a look at the roster and tell me we dont need another WR.
He wasnt franchised, he was t-tagged. The Browns would have the availability to match a qualifying offer. Doesnt mean they can or will, but thats what would happen.
I think Tommy will be pretty good, honestly. If he keeps the ball down, his stuff is better then 99% of MLB closers. When he gets ontop the ball, hes almost unhittable. I like a closer to be a power arm, a strikeout guy... Thats what Tommy is.
You know what would be cool? if Hunter actually got to come into a closing situation ... And the team had MORE than a 1 run lead... too many times last year, we kept teams close. we didn't really close the door! let's get some solid leads going INTO the 9th.
The thing about that is... BROB was in the first wave of offenders to be outed... Cruz has known for years now that MLB is "trying" to clean up the league and punishments are now more severe. Also, I'm curious to see how much the juice helped his game.. And really, I'm sure hes probably still on one of the designer options that is ahead of the testing.
Cruz is an Oriole . https://www.csnphilly.com/article/report-orioles-and-nelson-cruz-agree-one-year-8-million-contract-0 I'm mixed on it... I want to win, I also want to be a classy org... Steriod guy.. can he hit for power without them? If he can, the lineup is scary.
