We have to hope that SSS, Aiken, Wallace, Watson, Williams, Pitta and Gilmore with K Juszczyk (my #1), Forsett & Dixon are 100%. We have to have a winning record in the first 8 games to compete in this division.
Two ACL injuries in 4 years is not a positive stat and success probability is not on his side. However, I hope he is star quality as we need that in our secondary again.
Watson's deal for 8mil is a bargain. Overall, in sports, the most ludicrous deal was 75 mil for FA Alan Crabbe from Portland to the Nets. Crabbe was a bench player the year before. Watson will be very important as the season starts.
For the TE squad I think Waller and Boyle are on the outside looking in. Watson will be to us like Bennett is to NE. Durable successful players are what make a championship team.
I don't think you quite know what "deepest" means if you say they have the deepest group with JUST Gronk lol. Deepest implies depth, not talent at the top of the depth chart.
You are right. However, the system NE uses allows Gronk to be formidable. He has more opportunities than any other TE in the league. He is a match up nightmare.
With NE using Gronk and Bennett we have to use our TE's in the same format and hold the best players no matter what. If we can elevate ourselves to the 014 team status and enter playoffs then stacking the team for offense is my preference.
Obviously Stanley will have a support role. Ducasse seems to be the starter as he has 7 years experience. The first four games will give opponents tests of how mentally quick and durable the left side will be. We had problems on this side and that may continue. Trestman better catch on quick or we start in the hole.
This is an excellent move. Since we were awful at scoring points last year he was the default 3 points we so desperately needed. He was like a support structure under a sagging bridge. The Steelers probably disliked this news. Opera stars do belong in Baltimore
There are a 1001 players out there. Who better to judge than A veteran GM? We can say all we want but Ozzie makes that decision. Personally I want Tucker to stay.
I hope Forsett has a great year like 014. The running game is essential The real; pressure is on Trestman to produce the right plays at the most critical times of the game. I saw too many three and outs. On the D side the LB QB rush, corners and safeties coverage were not up to the standard Ravens teams were blessed with Reed and Lewis led squads. We do not need 22 guys on DL
Last year our secondary and special teams were abysmal. The Miami game proved how vulnerable and short visioned the team was in the second half of games. Mistakes and lack of a quality QB were torturous to the fans. We spotted them 15 and lost by 2. Schawb looked like a former shadow of himself. It was pathetic sitting in that humidity watching that crap. We have to establish the offensive power we had in 014 and the stamina to finish as in 012.
I once liked and followed the StL Cardinals too.I'm talking about the Neil Lomax days However, my appetite for this sport had never waned, even after the December debacle in Miami
A man of such intelligence can theorize and implement the parameters of the starting tackle position. Its' the physical nature of the game he can expect to improve and become an efficient linesman.
I would really like to see him succeed. He is a NAVY man which indicates an honorable college system and personal integrity from him. On the other side of the coin, Waller did not protect his position in the final 53. Boyle is suspended 10 games. I would not be surprised if Reynolds is accepted and Campanero given another chance to be in the 53.
Looks like first place for Waller in the final cuts. Baltimore does not need this type of publicity. NFL players are making big $ and he ruins himself on lack of will power. Since he was suspended two games at Georgia Tech, his resume and future looks negative.
