  1. THAT is true... I understand what you are saying... and I agree.  but, keep in mind, that women are less likely to be able to defend themselves, physically.  Just due to size and strength.

Men are less likely to be believed which is why it is under reported ,  just so you know men who defend themselves are often viewed as abusive .

  2. This is the most important sentence of your post. The problem here, as with almost every issue in society, is centered around a person's intelligence. There are countless studies that show an IQ level is not markedly affected by environment, and IQ level is the number one predictor for almost all things in life (i.e. succes in school/work and marriage and likelihood of committing crimes). This is a controversial subject, so I won't go any further, but it is something that I've studied a ton in my life and I firmly believe to be true.

IQ level actually has little to do with intelligence ,  had a lengthy discussion with my neurologist about it .  She said most of the methods are outdated given new developments understand of Human Psychology and Neurologic Anatomy ,  the testing is mainly based in one realm and that is Cognitive Logic Thought which does not account for areas such as Philosophical and Theologic understand or reasoning , it also does not measure abilities for social interaction or base for artistic or non verbal artistry .

  3. I am just amazed that people believe that this case is the first and only....  and it is the most disgusting....  There are REGULAR people KILLED everyday due to domestic violence...  This is not an NFL problem...  It's a Society Problem.  We need to educate our young men better...  In many ways women are not equal to men... Come on folks.

Disclosure:  No, I am not saying that it's OK, Not by a longshot.... it's just the naivety that we have all had up until late....

I hope that this opens the eyes of people in their own communities.....  Baltimore is very fortunate to have the House of Ruth where folks can go if they need to be "secured".

DV is not a Womans issue its an US issue , Men and Women according to the Department of Justice  Men and Women Suffer Equally from being Victims  that yes what we hear so Often is the woman,  More often you do not hear about the men ..... Most turn to alcohol some even go so far as suicide .  Where is the help for Male Victims?

Please note the house of Ruth Recognizes men only as Aggressors never Victims

  4. Et tu Berad........it wasnt dirty. Brown has never been that kind of player or person. as i said in another thread, if he did it on purpose he had to be some kind of Martial arts master to decide to jump kick a guy in the face........it was just an unfortunate accident. he should be fined but not suspended

what would you have said if he missed that mark by 2 inches rewatch the video and look at his cleat ,   if his cleat hits the corrated artery he bleeds out on the field ..............not an accident don't be a homer man admit it I just had our ups guy say he is actually not going to be a steelers fan much longer because he is sick of the teams behavior

  5. Hate to say this on the Domestic Violence front , the penalties being pushed now are Dangerous .  I suggest any of our Male posters Read what is and is not Classified under VAWA as Domestic Violence you might be surprised and may even be appalled ,  This creates a Dangerous situation for any player in a Relationship or dating period .  Teams with no Ethics (looking at you Mr Billecheat) could use this to cause opposing teams star players to get suspended without doing anything wrong .

  6. Baltimore and Philadelphia, two shining jewels of the East Coast.     lol

I believe 2 of the most violent cities are St. Louis and Camden NJ.  I think that's according to FBI data on violent crimes.

Yeah to be honest  Chicago even has LA beat .... if you go by actual Data and not the FBI crime statistics (fudged numbers)  Chicago has had the most violent Year on record , over 400 people injured by Gang related shootings 125 of them in 1 weekend.  guess there goes my hope of a road trip for an authentic deep dish

  7. Yeah, it was eye opening. As a naive and ignorant kid from the county, I was sheltered from this crap, but wow. Just confirms that I will NEVER let my kids go to the city. And the first chance I am comfortable leaving MD (staying mainly due to my parents and especially with my old man being sick), to Destin we will go.

I am not, however, naive enough to think this is only present in cities like Baltimore, Detroit, etc...but it is certainly more readily available and is increased due to income levels, poverty, etc.

Still not as dangerous as the smaller cities ,   Baltimore is 27th on the list number 18 is an hour ride north on 83

  8. School is school. Learn as much as you can. The grades? Meh, just get the best to your ability.

At the end on the day when you type that GPA onto your resume and frame your diploma, you better have the knowledge to go along with it...

Personally, I've learned more through working experience then I ever did in a classroom. Might be different for other careers/studies but I always wanted to know the application of what I was doing, not some theory garbage.

Depending on the field Theory could be applicable in the field of execution as well.... the field I am choosing Neuro-Psych the Field is still so new that over 80% is still theory so knowing Theory is applicable .
