So when you look at Rodgers and Flacco, the only difference you see is their Oline? You didn't notice how Rodgers played the Dallas defense like a fiddle. Quickening his snap count to cause them to commit illegal substitution, changing his cadence to draw them offsides. Flacco never does that.
How about that incredible throw; scrambling towards his left and nailed that throw. What is it about Rodgers' play that is reminiscent of Joe Flacco?

I didn't say that. Don't misinterpret what I said...but you do have to look there first. What else gives any QB time to "play the fiddle".

  2. "Green Bay Packer have notched 24 touchdowns and one interception since Nov. 20. By comparison, the Ravens scored 32 touchdowns all season."

    This. Just this. P A T H E T I C!!!

As to the Flacco question, I know it wasn't a serious one, but still - NO! Not by any standard whatsoever does Flacco qualify elite. He doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence with these other AFC QBs on that list. The only thing Flacco is elite at is being the most inconsistently performing, mind-numbingly average quarterback.

The Packers started off the season slow as well. I had Devante' Adams on my Fantasy team... did they come alive??? Absolutely and at the right time. But as well, they don't have much of a running game either. Just sayin.

  3. OK, so I hate the P*triots. and I hate Br*dy. I think I hate them more than I hate the Squeelers. While I hate the Squeelers, I do respect them as an adversary in our Division. So, as much as it pains me to say it, I think I have to root for the Squeelers to win on Sunday.

When either of these guys goes to the Super Bowl??? And the Packers beat the Falcons??? I will be rooting for the Packers... Go Pack Go...

  4. With Mr. Newsomes' history of drafts & recruits I'd be alarmed...
    2012: No #1, @ #2 was C. Upshaw (no impact), #3 B. Pierce (cost a 5th to move up for this guy).
    2013: #1: Elam, #2 A. Brown @ 56...for 6 spots @ 62 it cost a 5th & 6th rnd picks to Seatl.////
    2014: #2 T. Brooks
2015: Perriman, M. Williams, C. Davis... They don't exactly scare anyone out of the pro-bowl...
2016: #2 Correa & #3 Koufuse, one of them is half his prime...
These are the rnds that make teams better not worse. There are no more Ray Lewis's, T. Suggs to save the Oz... 5 years and 1 great player (Osemele). This is shameful...

So guys like Mosley, Brandon Williams, Juice, Stanley and Lewis, Dixon; those guys aren't included in the draft history? There have been more hits than misses. The list goes on. I also believe that every team has the exact same issue. We just don't see it or pay much attention to it because we aren't following the team as closely. NO ONE can predict exactly how a guy is going to fare in the NFL. I hate to mention a certain QB that was drafted in the 6th round that is seen as "The greatest" ever... Others that are STARS in college just don't pan out in the NFL... guys like maybe Elam or Tebow. While it would be nice to make that special pick every year... you're correct to mention that it's very difficult to find a Ray Lewis, an Ed Reed, or a Jonathan Ogden out there every year.

You better believe all the rule changes and penalties are a major factor in losing viewership. Along with the cord cutters and people who simply don't want to spend 3.5 hours watching a Football Game. I'm cutting the cord this month and plan on purchasing the NFL game pass in 2017.

The only problem is that if you're in the Baltimore area, you don't get the Ravens games with NFL Game Pass (same with the MLB package - no Os). Ridiculous. But I have a digital antennae and get the Ravens over the air. The NFL is way behind us cord cutters.

A good work around - if you have a Verizon phone - is a mini hdmi from your phone to TV and use the NFL Mobile app.

I live in Florida now and tried NFL Sunday Ticket very expensive and though they assured me I would be able to see ALL the Ravens games, that is a big lie. What a bunch of scammers. I saw all of 6 games on Sunday Ticket didn't have access to 3 games especially the Ravens v. Steeler games and watched the others on local TV.

So I watched less then 6 games on Sunday Ticket but have to pay for them all and still watch 2 hours of commercials. Plus listen to these horrible commentators.

There's another fun part of football. Trying to watch Green Bay - Dallas with that clown Akin. I'd rather go to the dentist. The man spews nonsense, will not shut up for 5 seconds. All these guys are awful I end up turning off the sound every time for most of the game and all the commercials.

I won' t be bothering with any of it next year. The refs are awful, the commentators are awful the endless commercials are mind numbing and with all the changes the games are boring. Yep I want to spend my time and money being annoyed. It's supposed to be entertainment it isn't!!

I don't know where you are in FL... but I'm in Melbourne, and I have NFL Sunday Ticket. The only games NOT on ticket were the ones on NFL Network. I watch EVERY SINGLE GAME. And those you can see with Directv. I find that Directv is much cheaper than going to the sportsbar and watching... Going there you'll spend about $40 - $50 a week on food and drink for 2. Having Sunday ticket at home actually allows me to hear the commentary too.  I think you mean AIKMAN.

  6. I am getting tired seeing Ed Reeds name being popped up in the comment section, he wont be coming this year, and he is still green as a coach so I would wait 'till next year.

Maxx Williams is getting shunned way too many times, he was put in IR half way through the season, wait until next year. It takes time for TE to acclimate to the game. Lastly, Dennis Pitta needs to renegotiate his deal as well or else he would be cut because we got Nick Doyle who can block and catch at the same time. Too many times Dennis whiffed on blocks. We have a trio of good tight ends cant wait for next year.

Reed's a coach; and an ex-Raven who is a first round HOF'er... Of course his name is going to pop up.

The question one must really ask regarding Dennison is this: Will Harbaugh's ego allow him to call Dennison. Remember the dynamic. Loyalty to Kubiak to the point that he didn't stay back as OC when Kubiak left for Denver but instead followed him there. I think that ruffled John's feathers and understandably so. Now, while what Dennison did hurt the Ravens progress with Kubiak's offense in 2015, I think John should still tap into his availability and give him a call and get him here. Because the team is bigger than John Harbaugh.

I don't think that ruffled his feathers at all. Harbaugh has been around long enough to know that when a Head Coach is hired he usually takes "his guys" with him. Was he disappointed ? sure but nothing about his ego will stop him from calling Dennison IF that is the direction that he wants to go. He knows that he needs to get it right whatever he decides for next season because his seat is getting warmer.

Agreed: Dennison had only worked with Kubiak. He wanted to stay with Kubiak. I don't believe it had anything to do with an issue in Baltimore at all.

I'm not surprised to see this move. He's inheriting a pretty good nucleus of a defense. Granted a few of those defenders will be free agents, like gillmore and brown which i hope for his sake they resign, but frazier will have them in the top 5 next season. I'm unsure of his impact on our secondary. People will say getting weddle shored us up, i believe that to be more likely as hes like a coach back there.  I think Frazier had those guys in the right mindset, but our secondary didnt improve on the turnovers, and when jimmy went down the entire secondary played down, we had little depth, and i think that hurt what Frazier was able to really do, I still wish we had kept terrance brooks. Best of luck in buffalo.

You don't think our secondary improved on turnovers this season???  We had 18 INT's this season...  We had 6 last year.

2 by the secondary last year, and 10 by the secondary this year.

Not too sure about that one Mom. With a new HC coming in, it's not uncommon to see the whole staff scrapped, allowing McDermott to choose his own staff. Now if Reed had ties to McDermott or Frazier, I could see it as a possibility but, since he doesn't, I suspect he'll be left on the outside.

I think it depends on what that coach thought of Reed when he played for us.  He just may see him as an asset to their secondary.  Just sayin.  It's gonna depend on how that secondary, specifically the safeties played with Reed there last year.  I haven't looked at their stats for the season with him there.

Bye Felicia!!! With the exception of obviously Yanda and knowing that Stanley is a rookie as well as A. Lewis - our OL was atrocious this season!!!! Run blocking only seemed to work when they were holding which negated several large runs by West that killed drives and obviously their pass blocking was horrible as well. The entire right side of the line needs to be replaced!!!

PFF said the O-Line graded out as 9th best in the league.  Don't know what film they were watching.  When all are healthy, Yanda moves back to RG, Lewis in at LG (or RT if Wagner departs), which really means we need a bigger, beastlier Center plus a higher quality swing OL as a backup, and we'll be all set talent-wise.

I'd actually agree with that. Problem was that we were on an O-Line carousel for much of this season... players hurt, and players moving around... Yeah, if we could get a decent Center and some consistency there.... we'd be OK.

This is great news! Harbs losing his buddies

lol! Now if we can rid Joe of his buddy Dennis and save a good amount of cap, all will be well in Baltimore!

You do realize that Dennis has actually been a life saver at times, right? He's got some of the most reliable hands in the league... I don't know why people are anxious to get rid of one of the most "sure things" on this team. It just doesn't make sense. Restructure his deal... don't get rid of the guy.
