I just fail to understand how the official Ravens website is closing the official Ravens message board. I probably won't be posting too often anymore.

This was my go to for breaking news since I don't have twitter. Damn.

There will still be a Ravens website where you'll get breaking news, and you will be able to comment on those stories.

ThinK this is absolute bollocks to be frank. How can a company making millions not afford a message board? Couldn't save that much money.

I'd estimate 75 percent of hits on the br.com site are people that only use the forum.

I haven't been on the homepage in about 3 years. I visit entirely for the converse with other members. I can't get that on Facebook snapchat or twitter.

I give the br.com website 2 years before they realise it's not viable without the boards.

Before becoming a mod, I had NEVER been to the forum side.  I had always been a blog person.  It's disappointing, yes.  There have been duplicate discussions on the site because of this for years.  There are MANY teams that doing the same thing.  We are not the only ones.  The site has become home to many folks, but so many have moved on.  We are as disappointed as you guys are.  I do understand that conversations about the happenings can still be had on the news side.

the RAVEN'S need to realize,PERRIMAN'S a BUST! he makes 1 catch a game and hit's the showers.PIERRE GARCON would be would be the next DERICK MASON or ANQUAN BOLDIN,a tough, gritty, blocking, possesion receiver.

lets not forget, Perriman has yet to have a training camp. THATS where you really learn a lot about how to be a player. Lets give him at least a chance to get thru a training camp before we label him a bust.

    Absolutely... it's craziness.

  4. Another little peek inside this "tortured" mind. My fiancée works with kids with developmental and emotional disabilities and the Ravens are very kind to support them. Brandon Williams always volunteers to work with these kids. And it's not in a fund raising capacity, he is one on one, personally working with and helping these young children. Let me tell you, this is not an easy thing from time to time. Yet Williams is there time after time, giving of himself and not just to sit and sign autographs and take selfies, he is in the trenches with these kids and their teachers working with them. Someone who is willing to give his all to a disabled child will give more than his all for his fellow players on the field and we need more guys like that and we would be a super bowl team. You can't teach smarts and you can't teach dedication and he has both.

We really need to keep this guy.... He's a great guy, and a great leader.

So when you look at Rodgers and Flacco, the only difference you see is their Oline? You didn't notice how Rodgers played the Dallas defense like a fiddle. Quickening his snap count to cause them to commit illegal substitution, changing his cadence to draw them offsides. Flacco never does that.
How about that incredible throw; scrambling towards his left and nailed that throw. What is it about Rodgers' play that is reminiscent of Joe Flacco?

I didn't say that. Don't misinterpret what I said...but you do have to look there first. What else gives any QB time to "play the fiddle".

  6. "Green Bay Packer have notched 24 touchdowns and one interception since Nov. 20. By comparison, the Ravens scored 32 touchdowns all season."

    This. Just this. P A T H E T I C!!!

As to the Flacco question, I know it wasn't a serious one, but still - NO! Not by any standard whatsoever does Flacco qualify elite. He doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence with these other AFC QBs on that list. The only thing Flacco is elite at is being the most inconsistently performing, mind-numbingly average quarterback.

The Packers started off the season slow as well. I had Devante' Adams on my Fantasy team... did they come alive??? Absolutely and at the right time. But as well, they don't have much of a running game either. Just sayin.

  7. OK, so I hate the P*triots. and I hate Br*dy. I think I hate them more than I hate the Squeelers. While I hate the Squeelers, I do respect them as an adversary in our Division. So, as much as it pains me to say it, I think I have to root for the Squeelers to win on Sunday.

When either of these guys goes to the Super Bowl??? And the Packers beat the Falcons??? I will be rooting for the Packers... Go Pack Go...

  8. With Mr. Newsomes' history of drafts & recruits I'd be alarmed...
    2012: No #1, @ #2 was C. Upshaw (no impact), #3 B. Pierce (cost a 5th to move up for this guy).
    2013: #1: Elam, #2 A. Brown @ 56...for 6 spots @ 62 it cost a 5th & 6th rnd picks to Seatl.////
    2014: #2 T. Brooks
2015: Perriman, M. Williams, C. Davis... They don't exactly scare anyone out of the pro-bowl...
2016: #2 Correa & #3 Koufuse, one of them is half his prime...
These are the rnds that make teams better not worse. There are no more Ray Lewis's, T. Suggs to save the Oz... 5 years and 1 great player (Osemele). This is shameful...

So guys like Mosley, Brandon Williams, Juice, Stanley and Lewis, Dixon; those guys aren't included in the draft history? There have been more hits than misses. The list goes on. I also believe that every team has the exact same issue. We just don't see it or pay much attention to it because we aren't following the team as closely. NO ONE can predict exactly how a guy is going to fare in the NFL. I hate to mention a certain QB that was drafted in the 6th round that is seen as "The greatest" ever... Others that are STARS in college just don't pan out in the NFL... guys like maybe Elam or Tebow. While it would be nice to make that special pick every year... you're correct to mention that it's very difficult to find a Ray Lewis, an Ed Reed, or a Jonathan Ogden out there every year.

You better believe all the rule changes and penalties are a major factor in losing viewership. Along with the cord cutters and people who simply don't want to spend 3.5 hours watching a Football Game. I'm cutting the cord this month and plan on purchasing the NFL game pass in 2017.

The only problem is that if you're in the Baltimore area, you don't get the Ravens games with NFL Game Pass (same with the MLB package - no Os). Ridiculous. But I have a digital antennae and get the Ravens over the air. The NFL is way behind us cord cutters.

A good work around - if you have a Verizon phone - is a mini hdmi from your phone to TV and use the NFL Mobile app.

I live in Florida now and tried NFL Sunday Ticket very expensive and though they assured me I would be able to see ALL the Ravens games, that is a big lie. What a bunch of scammers. I saw all of 6 games on Sunday Ticket didn't have access to 3 games especially the Ravens v. Steeler games and watched the others on local TV.

So I watched less then 6 games on Sunday Ticket but have to pay for them all and still watch 2 hours of commercials. Plus listen to these horrible commentators.

There's another fun part of football. Trying to watch Green Bay - Dallas with that clown Akin. I'd rather go to the dentist. The man spews nonsense, will not shut up for 5 seconds. All these guys are awful I end up turning off the sound every time for most of the game and all the commercials.

I won' t be bothering with any of it next year. The refs are awful, the commentators are awful the endless commercials are mind numbing and with all the changes the games are boring. Yep I want to spend my time and money being annoyed. It's supposed to be entertainment it isn't!!

I don't know where you are in FL... but I'm in Melbourne, and I have NFL Sunday Ticket. The only games NOT on ticket were the ones on NFL Network. I watch EVERY SINGLE GAME. And those you can see with Directv. I find that Directv is much cheaper than going to the sportsbar and watching... Going there you'll spend about $40 - $50 a week on food and drink for 2. Having Sunday ticket at home actually allows me to hear the commentary too.  I think you mean AIKMAN.
