As far as the challenges. I think if we are going to allow a 3rd challenge for succeeding in the previous two, the third challenge should be allowed to challenge ANY PLAY... A N Y P L A Y!

Sure, we're going to try to address the obvious short-comings of these O line and WR positions, but we're going to end up having to do that somewhat on the cheap. The team does still have available resources through the draft, but by all accounts, the draft is very defense heavy and is short on offensive talent in the trenches. We could shock the world and go high at the WR position, but I'm not sure we can adequately address both areas via the draft.
No doubt, we've seen this team pull off the "diamonds from the rough" moves in the past, but counting on that is a risky proposition. I still think the O line is the greatest area of worry.
I think most teams do that anyway. It's a crap shoot most times. Ummmm, Brady at 199??? Come on, there are no guarantees anywhere. And I agree that the O-Line is our biggest need. Give Joe time, and he'll hit anyone that's open.

Because Bruce..... it's what I always have done.... That's how you will know.

If we can get them, he will put the ball in their hands, and we will win games. If we go into the season with an OL of similar quality to last year, then Flacco will spend all his time backing up and throwing off his back foot. I can't believe the FO is unaware of that fact; however, we have not seen any indication of what the OL or receiving corps are going to look like,
I think the front office is well aware. Just remember, we are not done yet. Offseason is barely started. But you are right. It's just that some people have a very difficult time comprehending that. They just WANT to pick on Joe. It's their mantra. And we will continue to hear the very same garbage until he wins another SB.
I'm going into this season attacking every game with "An Enthusiasm Unknown to Mankind’
He is so adorable... What a little bugger... But how can you do anything but love that child?
Good for them... Glad they are listening.

agree with Aiken, he deserved more reps or at the very least constructive feedback on what needed improvement to get more play time. my sense is, my beloved Ravens just don['t have a good Reciever Game strategy/route trees/creative plays to take advantage of skills of WR's - they are to predictable and limited to keying on 1 or 2 WR's for any play (lacks flexibility) and simple progression reads that either go to #1 or #2 or very quickly to the dump-off outlet - come on guys, let's get it together for 2017.
Do we know that he didn't get constructive feedback? We had a pack of WR's the beginning of last year, hence why Waller converted to TE. Reality, if Aiken was all that he claimed to be, he'd have won more time. We have seen how that works here in Bmore. If you perform well, yeah.... if not, bah bye.
I'm sorry... but Aiken sounds like he's whining. He had opportunities. Quite a few times I saw where he was basically hit right in the numbers with the ball and dropped the pass. Come on man.... He had a ton of chances to prove himself.
I loved Juice. As a fullback, and where the position has taken a back seat to RB's and Receivers, you can basically understand where he's coming from. The play at the end of the Steeler's game is one I will not forget. He laid it out to make that TD.
Good Luck to both of them.
Just now, billiejean said:haha you never are going to change are you Mom. Are you still using the "he keeps getting pushed back into Joe" argument. He was pushed into Joe a whopping two times in the second game of the year. And just as I have explained to you multiple times before the decision to cut Zuttah or bring him back was dependent on one factor. And that factor has to do with what type of blocking scheme Marty is going to use the most this year. And the answer is that we are going to be primarily using a power blocking scheme. Zuttah is a much better fit for a zone team because of his mobility and athleticism. And yes when power blocking 1 on 1 with a large nose tackle he struggles. Guess what type of scheme the 49ers run. Its a zone scheme and it is the exact same offense that Kubiak ran. JZ will thrive in Shanahan's offense and I wouldn't be surprised if he had a career year. The guy is on the back 9 of his career but he finished 14 among centers last year and 9th the year before that. And yea that makes him average. I just hope that we can find a guy that is average or better than average to take his place. As of now there are no free agent centers that could fill that void. So it looks like we will be relying on a rookie or a trade. And thats risky but certainly not heard of. The Bears took a center last year in the second and ended up grading out as the 6th best center in the league.
Good Ness, what is the problem? Do I need to post videos? OH yeah, they just released him for no reason.. There are options, and we don't know everything....Move on

I had assumed we were talking about that.. when Dumervil was mentioned. Has he signed anywhere?
Ozzie still has work on the defense. Who is replacing Orr , Guy, and Elvis?
Ozzie could replace Orr with Zach Brown and his price is coming cheaper since he been on the market for so long.
We also have ZDS...

but in any case: Zuttah wasnt exactly great and he was undersized to begin with. Urschel or Jensen couldnt do much worse, but we definitely want better if we could get it.
Constantly pushed back into Joe.... Hence the statement, "“… His toughness and accountability made him a popular teammate, but Zuttah struggled at times, especially against big nose tackles.”
brilliant move by ozzie, its better than nothing and u wipe out his salary.
Others would have rather us "just release him." SMH
There was a reason that Tampa released him to begin with. Very often he was pushed back into Joe. The guy wasn't that great of a Center to begin with.
Tampa didn't release him. We traded for him lol
Point was they let him go.. He couldn't have been that valuable to them either
I hope we have a good plan because now we do not have any depth on the line. Vlad, Wagner, and Zuttah are gone. We need to pick up some decent guys to protect Joe in the offensive trenches.
We will have Yanda,Stanley, and Lewis at least. That line neeeds to get better anyway. Urschel was our stand in for Zuttah.
Zuttah is probably wondering what more could he do.

Why Yes, Yes I did. Of course.
26 minutes ago, Martin Maryland said:Offensive Line would be issue, so as WR's group, but the biggest and weakest link is Cornerback. Folks, opposite side of Jimmy Smith was always open. Yes, that side of Wright, Young or whoever we plugged in - that's where the TD's got scored on us. And when Smith got hurt it got worse. We started over compensating for him using safety help and our run defense suffered. Sure, we need more effective pass rush, but we still need Cornerback who doesn't give the 10 yard cushion on every play.
I think we're discounting Tavon Young way too fast. That guy played pretty damned well for a rookie this year. Come on, give the kid a break. And moving Webby to Safety was the right move. Gave us two very talented guys in the "outfield".

Yes, they were.... I was at that game.... Sunday night... National TV
BW... We are sooooo happy that you are staying in Baltimore... #RavenforLife
Webby was one of my favorite players. I will miss him dearly. It's so sad when "one of our own" has to leave. Webb will always be a Raven to me. It will be hard to see him put on another uniform.
Most underrated player the Ravens have had in the last five years.
Absolutely agree.
2 hours ago, SevRaven said:I don't understand how this keeps happening when you are a professional athlete. Don't the ravens sit these players down and tell them to inform them of every supplement they are going to take to make sure it is approved???
Yes, the players are supposed to do that. They are supposed to submit any supplements that they want to take to make sure that they are approved.

When we traded in my daughter's RR jersey, we got her Mosley. I knew he'd be around. I love that kid. What a great player. The quintessential Raven.
