If Flacco is really worth $100,000,000, then we shouldn't need spend a 1st round pick on WR. The QB should be able to manipulate the receivers that he has. Just the fact that we are talking about going WR 1st round shows that there is desperation for a spark on offense. If anything I say go TE.

Yeah because we only have like 6 of those.... Pitta, Gilmore, Williams, Waller, Boyle, Watson.... Sometimes ya just gotta wonder about stuff.... I mean, really?

Well, in his defense, we're not really sure if any of those guys are any good or not at this point.

I think we're pretty sure. Just sayin. Gilmore??? Pitta??? And now we have Woodhead??? He's so versitile. I'm not taking a TE in the first round. There are too many other positions that we NEED badly.

We play 8 games vs teams Vegas ranks a higher probability of reaching the super bowl than the Ravens. Home vs away record (Flacco struggles) is likely 5-3 & 3-5. Splits with the Steelers and Bengals; Raven team composition at this time tells me the Ravens are an 8-8 team (plus or minus 1). At the moment, the Ravens as a team give no indication of being a 10, 11 or 12 win team. The draft could change that.

"IF" Browns would take Flacco &our 16th for their 1st&33rd we could FIX defense and sign Kapernick or even Cutler as stopgap REBUILD decent team. Flacco & our 16th,74th for 1st&12th would be DREAM scenario.

DO you really want to face the Browns 2x with Flacco at QB and Gordon, Coleman and more at WR? They would no longer be just counted as a win for us. Especially if we had Kappernick at QB.

I get Cutler but he is so undependable that his contribution in 8 games or less would virtually make Mallet our starter.... do you really think we would be better off there?

I get it... I dont like Joes ridiculous contract but a trade like that would set us back 5 years.

Teams without franchise QBs just DO NOT win in this league. That is why the Browns are the Browns.

Now it would be different if we could trade Joe for a Phillip Rivers or Joe for Matt Stafford..... etc. Not saying that they are better then Joe but they are franchise Qbs who we could continue to build around...

Problem is why would those teams trade those guys to us for Joe... take on Joes contract and still give something else up?????

None of those guys have a Super Bowl Win... As a matter of fact, none of them have won in the playoffs either. Yes, some of the ridiculousness continues.

Good-Ness... why do folks believe we'd trade Flacco away? This isn't the first time I have seen this... IT'S RIDICULOUS. Please Stop the nonsense.

I have turned off NFL Network and ESPN for one reason...  and one reason only.  These female analysts that they have on there...  They consistently mispronounce words...  and the networks fail to correct it....  This crap with "Cam Newt-in".  The same with "Peyt-in Manning"....  They sound like 5 year-olds that cannot pronounce words.  It burns through my blood.  I cannot stand it.  Discredits them and the networks in my eyes.  Stop putting these little "babes" on there that are only eye candy....  Put somebody on there that can "Talk Football...  Please".

Now, on a side note...  I actually have to agree with Bayless.  He's correct.  And for once is giving Joe credit where credit is due.  I applaud that.

Now let's go out there, get us some good players in the draft and fill these holes.  I cannot wait for another shot at the brass ring again this year.

You're mad at the female analysts, not because they have arguably less credibility since they didn't play football in their lives, or any other argument that could be deemed reasonable, but because you don't like their accent? Anyone who doesn't speak like you sounds like a 5 year old, eh? You have the one and true voice, all hail.

Also ignores the fact that at least 90% of people on this planet pronounce it Peyt-in Manning.

I could count on one hand the number of people who have actually said PEY-TON Manning.

    Slow news day, obviously.

No 90% of people DO NOT pronounce it the way that she does. Listen to the way that this chick says Newton... It's ridiculous.  She sounds like a little child.

    THAT is not an accent......

This. Just because John Harbaugh said it, and Ryan Mink writes an article doesn't mean it's true. Mosley could leave very easily especially with bloated contracts coming up soon and another Joe Flacco restructure/extension.

Nah...  They'll pay him.  Unless something seriously happens, he'll be a Raven for a long time.

  9. They have now changed two NFL rules as a result of Justin Tucker and the Patriots !

    1. Made the goal posts 5' feet higher as a result of Tucks game winner over the Patriots. After which Bill Belichick grabbed an official by the arm.

    2. Take away the ability of opposing team from leaping over the long snapper on the field goal attempt.

Both of these rules were brought about as a result of Ravens Patriots games with Tucker kicking field goals.

Yup, they were... and yes they did... And the next time I hear a Patriots fan say that they don't get special treatment, I'm going to puke. Let's see... You have the tuck rule, and the Br*dy rule already too.

Hmmm... looking at the adopted rule changes...

"Make actions to conserve time illegal after the two-minute warning warning of either half"

Does that include spiking the ball? The only goal of spiking the ball is literally to conserve time...

    Or stepping out of bounds?

OK, this latter was a joke. But the first one is interesting.

I'm very curious about this, too.  I've seen no clarification on exactly what this is about.

I'm thinking it's players that are staying down on the field and going out "with an injury" in order to stop the clock. Intentional stuff like that.
